“Thomas is so excellent! He is very attentive to my dogs. I have two senior dogs. One has separation anxiety and is very timid around new people and my other dog has pretty bad arthritis. He is very attentive to their needs and my anxious dog quickly warmed up with him. He is communicative and helpful and was very capable and willing to meet my request with my dogs. Highly recommend Thomas! He is a wonderful individual and did great with my pups!”

About: As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pets with someone who will care for them like family. I have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels—from playful puppies to sweet senior pups who just want a slower-paced walk and extra cuddles. All my family members and friends rely on me when they are needing their dog to be in safe hands. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give you peace of mind while you're away. I can't wait to meet you and your four-legged family member! I currently work part-time, which means I'm home for most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve. Whether it's walks, playtime, potty breaks, or just relaxing together, your pup will have lots of love, companionship, and care throughout their stay. Your pet will be staying in a loving home with two friendly indoor dogs—one is a sweet senior, and the other is a playful four-year-old. They have free roam of the house and plenty of cozy beds for naps throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can safely explore and play. All potty breaks are supervised, and your pup will never feel alone—they'll always have me and my two dogs around for company, companionship, and lots of love.
About: I myself currently have 4 cats and 1 gecko and grew up with tons of pets including dogs, rabbits, and birds. I also raised and sold livestock at the fair. I love caring for animals and am currently going to college to be a veterinarian. I currently work a part time job but want to find something else that I’m more passionate about and that has some sort of involvement in the career I want. Im very respectful of an animal’s space and boundaries and have fairly well success working with more stubborn animals that require patience. I love getting to know each individual pet and learning what works best for them.
“Adriana has been an absolute gem! My dog struggles with people anxiety, and she has shown nothing but patience, kindness, and understanding from day one. She took the time to earn his trust at his own pace, and I’ve seen such positive changes in his comfort level and confidence. It’s clear she truly cares about the animals she works with, and I feel completely at ease knowing he’s in her care. Highly recommend Adriana to anyone looking for a compassionate and reliable sitter—especially if your pet needs a little extra TLC!”

About: I have been pit sitting for as long as as I can remember! I love all animals! I enjoy having going on walks, or playing with cats! I truly just enjoy hanging out with furry friends! I am working part time, so my schedule is quite flexible. I have reliable transportation, when I’m with your loved one I like to send lots of updates. I know I miss my babies and love to see how they are doing! I treat any home I go into with a lot of respect. My goal is to be there for your pet nothing else. If you need help with anything I am always willing to help! I truly believe in leaving a place better than you found it! But whatever your boundaries are I 100% respect them!
“My dog has given her paw & wags of approval to ReShan. As a rescue, she takes her time to give trust & affection, & she has given both to ReShan. He has helped with walking & boarding my dog, who is large, strong & not well-trained. ReShan has her walking nice on the leash, giving me hope that I can also achieve it. He treats us both with love & respect. I am so thankful for his involvement in our lives. Thank you, ReShan, for your loving care of my best buddy.”

I also I have a clean and fenced yard, and a friendly pup and cat to keep your pup company! She needs some time to warm up but she loves making friends after she’s comfortable, as she is a rescue dog! I love to keep my home clean not only for others and myself but my the animals as well! A clean environment is one of my top priorities when caring for these animals! I have lots of dog treats, toys, and activities so your pup is never bored! I love going on walks and runs everyday, so I would love to bring your pup on a nice run or walk or even to the dog park!
About: I’m new to professional pet sitting, but I stand out because I’m very attentive and genuinely patient with animals. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic puppies and older senior pets who need a slower pace and extra gentleness. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, and behavior changes. I also don’t mind giving extra cuddles, calm company, or medication reminders if needed. I treat every pet like they’re my own and focus on making them feel safe and relaxed while you’re away! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or visiting a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest. I pay attention to their behavior and individual needs and make sure their space stays clean and comfortable. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away

“Elizabeth does a great job walking our dog Biscuit and is courteous, kind, and professional! She is someone you can for sure trust to care for your pet and we are happy that we get to work with her!”

About: Aside from raising my own 2 fur babies ( 2 kitties now), I’ve helped take care of others’ pets from large Dobermans to small kittens. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter primarily walking and socializing with the big dogs. I’ve raised both cats and dogs to senior years (I lost my old dog girl and kitty girl last year, both 15). As my title states, I’m an RN and am very comfortable with giving medications to fur babies (as I do with humans) as well as taking care of any illness issues within reason (wound care/ monitoring / accidents). When it comes to senior care of animals, I understand the need for them to get extra special love and attention, and medication to keep them as happy and healthy as possible. I believe in making pets as comfortable as possible and letting them know that I’m there to help and give love (if they want). When it comes to dog walking, I’m really vigilant about our surroundings and making sure that dogs get a good safe walk. I definitely gravitate towards animals over humans haha. I work part-time out of town, and so I have a lot of time spent at home with my own animals. I want to spend my time I have to help others too (hence also my volunteering at the animal shelter right now to). I prefer to spend time with pets as much as allowed in their home while also following routines previously set for them. Whether it’s playing out in the back yard, or just hanging out together on the couch or floor and relaxing, I like the pet to know that I’m there and not alone. If crating is necessary or part of the dogs routine, I can do that too.
“Katrina has been a great help getting my father’s puppy out for biweekly walks. He is quite a handful so Katrina is helping him with leash walking and socialization. Katrina is on time, very responsible, and her communication is excellent. We couldn’t be happier with her services!”
“Thanks Sara for bathing Buckley and walking Georgia and Buckley today! I also appreciate the details you gave and I know they love having you! :) I will be booking you again soon - 5 stars”

“Cyrillia and Jason were great to work with and communicative. They were so patient with my fur baby. They truly went above and beyond and I am so appreciative!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
