House Sitting in Glenelg

About: I've had family dogs for 13 years, but started taking care of some of my neighbors' dogs 5 years ago, whether it be taking them for potty breaks or staying over at their house to give them attentive care. I work part time at a pet boarding place as a kennel tech, so I have lots of experience with many different breeds and temperaments of both cats and dogs. I've worked with dogs of all sizes, from Yorkie to Saint Bernard, and have lots of experience caring for both puppies and senior pets that might need more rigorous attention. I will be working part-time this summer, meaning that on the occasional days I work, I am available any time before 8am and then after 1-2pm. I can still stay over with your pet any day, that just means that on workdays, I would feed and walk them (And any other things necessary) before 8am, and then have to leave for work and then come back at 1-2. Whenever I am not actively at work, I can spend all my time caring for your pets! I am experienced at reading pet body language and adapting to how they respond. I am very communicative and will send lots of updates about your pet, including daily pictures of your fur babies! I can supply treats (with your approval) and can take them to parks and other places for walks, as I have a car and license. I'm dedicated to making sure your animal is as happy as can be :-)

“Alicia was wonderful with Tucker. We had not used any service before or left Tucker with anyone outside of family and were very nervous because we didn't know anyone in the area. After meeting Alicia, we knew she was going to love on our 13 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix like he was her own. She would send us multiple pictures and texts during the day to let us know how he was doing. I left her instructions for him and for the house and she following them perfectly. We felt so relaxed being able to take a vacation, just the 2 of us and not have the pet responsibility for the first time since we got Tucker. Alicia went above and beyond to make us comfortable and was very respectful of our home and took care of everything. We will definitely call Alicia again. She is awesome and I would recommend her to anyone who has a pet with anxiety too. She did a spectacular job with Tucker!!!”

About: I’ve cared for family and friends’ pets of all shapes and sizes throughout high school and college. Whether it was my college friend’s energetic puppy or my aunt’s elderly cat, I always loved spending time with them. I offer walks, feedings, playtime, possible vet trips if needed, and of course quality time with your pet in the comfort of their own home where they feel safest and happiest. Currently home for the summer which is perfect for open availability whenever and wherever. Available mornings, evenings and nights! I am flexible in almost every booking if needed. Pets are free to roam throughout the house! Dogs would have to be on a leash to be outside due to the unfortunate circumstances of having no fence in my back yard.

About: I have treated small cuts, and administered insulin to cats and dogs. I have cleaned many ears and eyes for both species in my past. I work at a special school beginning at 7:30 am and am finished with my work day at 3:30. I have off on major school holidays. I have a fenced in backyard and my daughter and I enjoy taking our boys on walks daily if weather permits. Our boys love our couch, and always pick the best seat in the house.

About: I have always had dogs and cats growing up, which peaked my interest in animal care. In high school I worked as a kennel technician at a boarding kennel and gained an internship at the local veterinary office. now in college, I am studying animal science to hopefully get a degree in veterinary medicine, and continue to pet sit for my friends and family including both cats and dogs. I'm currently home from college for the summer, and home most of the time! I do have a car, and am available almost any time of the day. I have pets in my home that are not socialized, so I would not be able to pet sit in my own home, but I am happy to make the trip to the comfort of their own home.

She was very responsive in our communication and with the our pups needs. Our boy is sometimes shy with new people but he took to her right away and he even hung next to her while we did our initial meet up. She catered to him (walks, waters, and lots of cuddles) while she stayed and she left the house as she found it and was very respectful! Highly recommended!”

About: I am a huge dog lover who lives within walking distance to hiking trails. I am self-employed and work from home, so I have plenty of time to spoil your pup. I have lots of experience owning large breeds but also love the little cuddle bugs. I have a flexible schedule and can't wait to meet your dog. I'm self-employed and work from home, so I have lots of flexibility and time to walk and play with your pup. I am available for boarding 7 days a week. I have a 6-foot high fenced in yard. I don't currently have any pets in my house so your dog would get all the attention. I will never leave your dog alone. They are welcome to sleep wherever they are comfortable in my house. I live in a neighborhood that has no through street. It has two large loops and sidewalks and away from busy streets.
