“Vaishali has helped Sunka learn to walk with her harness and NOT pull! She loves being with their family. Vaishali has been very flexible with our planning and timing. Today we had unplanned traffic problems that made our trip later than we head home.”

“Kimberley does a great job watching our dog Louie. She gives photo updates and it’s obvious she loves animals. We feel lucky to have found Kimberley for dog sitting!”

“Jeremy was wonderful. He took great care of Maisie. He went above and beyond to make her comfortable in his home with his family and other pets. Excellent communication and lots of pictures.”

“Lana was great! She took great care of Scooby and always made sure to send us updates with the pictures. Can’t thank you enough for taking such great care of Scooby.”

“Michelle was great! I have been so hesitant to travel without our dog for so long, but finally went for it after finding Michelle on Rover. She made us feel so comfortable about leaving Dazie with her, it was such a relief. She watched our dog for 5 nights, sending us updates and pictures everyday. It was so nice to see Dazie having fun and still getting snuggles while we were away. I will definitely be using her again! Thank you Michelle.”

“She was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, she made me feel comfortable and reassured about leaving my fur baby, Midnight, in her care. I was initially hesitant about having him stay with someone else, but she took the time to answer my questions, address my concerns, and give me the peace of mind I needed. Her kindness, patience, and genuine love for dogs really stood out. She made me feel confident that Midnight would be safe, happy, and well cared for. I truly appreciate her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“I am so very happy with Kayla and her Iris. They took such good care of Hotrod. I even get to come inside and in fenced backyard to see them play. Hotrod thinks its his second home now. He is so happy there. He has started acting like a puppy here again and we cant be happier. He starts crying a block away--he KNOWS where we are going!!! He runs right to the dog so happy. He runs in the house and is so excited. I try to come when kids are asleep on sleep overs because he is SOOOO happy and LOUD. HAHAHAHA”

“Buffalo has been back to stay with Monica multiple times now and she’s already booked to go again this year. My dog is medically complex and was showing some symptoms, Monica did not hesitate to get her seen and communicate with me. Peace of mind that my dog is safe and having fun is worth every penny.”

“This was our first boarding experience with DeeAnna, and it exceeded our expectations, just as we anticipated given how incredible she is with doggy day care. She provided multiple daily updates with photos and exceptional care throughout their stay. Our pups love going to Deanna and did so great—enjoying daily outings, hikes, and walks, along with plenty of extra cuddles, love, and snuggles, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away.”

“Very happy with our in home boarding stay. She was very friendly and quick to respond to anything I asked. Our dog has come home happy and tired from all the fun he was having. She provided pictures and videos showing how he spent his day. I highly recommend.”

“Shalini has watched our dog Walnut a couple of times and took such good care of him!! I’m so glad to have found Shalini and her family :-) love that she only watches one dog at a time as our dog gets very overstimulated around other dogs so he was able to have a relaxed vacay while we were on our trips.”
“Thank you very much Jean for taking good care of my fur baby.. Highly recommend Jean if you want your pet well taken cared and loved.. You are amazing! Until next time! Cheers!”

“Elena was very responsive and genuinely nice. We got regular photo updates and messages to let us know Queenie was doing well. It is obvious she loves dogs and the fact they are free to roam around the house with them is a big plus for pampered furry family members like ours.”

“Stephanie is a wonderful lady and I am so glad to have found her. Stephanie & her husband took good care of our German Shepherd Dog for over a week and provided excellent care, clear communication, multiple daily pictures, asked questions, and went above and beyond to take good care of our Sweet Max. We look forward to booking with her again as she has been the best dog sitter we have found!”
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Getchell
You know you have a good sitter when you ask your dog "do you want to go see Rebecca?" and they go sprinting to the door! Kiwi was so excited to see her, which is always the best sign. I always know Kiwi is going to be safe and taken care of (and have a ton of fun!) when she's with Rebecca. (I am a Rover employee).

I was hesitant to write a good review because I don’t want to share her with anyone else!! As long as I have used Rover I have never felt so calm leaving my puppy with someone. From the moment I dropped her off, Veleska invited me in to talk and get to know Hunny. To the second I picked her up and we once again just talked about how the stay was. She made Hunny feel so loved and just like she was at home. Hunny is a pretty anxious dog especially with new people and from the second we walk inside she started snooping around and playing, I knew I was going to feel good leaving her here. I got the absolute sweetest texts and the cutest pictures of my puppy just loving her time. There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful woman she is!! By far my favorite babysitter I have ever left Hunny with!! (and Hunnys favorite too)

Kimberley was absolutely amazing with Bishop! From the start, she was very communicative, flexible, and accommodating — especially when I needed to adjust my drop-off timing last minute. She kept me updated throughout the stay and made sure Bishop was comfortable, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention, walks, and interaction with other dogs. I really appreciated how attentive she was, even keeping an eye on his stomach when he had a little issue and checking in with me. It gave me peace of mind while I was away knowing he was in great hands. Bishop came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I would definitely book with Kimberley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Getchell home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Getchell.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Getchell sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
