“Allison was great! She is so kind and was very patient with my Trigger and his anxiety and sent updates with photos throughout the time he was with her. I would definitely recommend her!”

“A wonderful pet sitter! Very communicative and warm. She was able to accommodate our last minute request, sent us updates and photos of our doggy while we were away, which was very reassuring, and she was flexible and understanding when our ferry delayed our pickup time by almost an hour. We would recommend her and be happy to have her care for our pup again in the future.”

“Bridget and Lou were so wonderful boarding my dog. They sent pictures and updates so we knew he was in good hands. He is normally glued to me, but when we went to pick him up he was lingering with them and ran back for one more round of pets before jumping in the car. Great people and obvious dog lovers!”

“I'm pretty sure that Kayla takes better care of my dog than I do. He blends right into whatever pack she has at her house every time he goes there. She has a control over the dogs that amazes me every time I'm in her home. Highly recommend.”

“Teri was perfect! Sienna was well-cared for, kept busy with toys and walks and came home so happy from all of the snuggling. The daily pictures and updates were fantastic. We would totally have Teri watch our dog again!”

“John is one of the best sitters you could find in this area. And he’s extremely responsible and caring for Darmeen. He followed all the instructions and made her feel at home. Would definitely choose him again!”

“Another great stay with Monica! Great communication, lots of fun photos. Reassuring to know our dog is having a fun and safe time while we are away! Thanks again Monica!”

“We have an anxious 9yo Boston with Cushings who can be handful. Linda was amazing! Before his first sleepover, Linda met us at a location so both Mugsy & I felt reassured & safe. The anxious owner (myself) was very appreciative of her updates - texts & photos during Mugsy's first visit. When I picked him up the next day, Mugsy was calm & didn't show any stress or need to leave right away. Linda, thank you for making this process so easy & relaxing!”
“I was so nervous at first to leave our dogs with someone we didn’t know but, we LOVED Lynne!! She took such good care of our dogs. Treated them like her own. We got pics and updates everyday! Lynne is the best!!!!”

“My dog stayed with Tyler for eight days while I was on vacation. Tyler was very communicative and responded promptly to my messages. I received daily updates and pictures of my dog being walked and fed. My dog seemed content while staying with Tyler and returned home happy and well taken care of. I’d book with Tyler again in the future.”

“Nala had an excellent stay with Art. He’s a considerate host who took time to make sure she was comfortable in his home before accepting our booking. We got lots of photos and updates during her stay. Thanks again.”

“Wally had an amazing time with Shizuko! He looked so loved and relaxed! Shizuko sent great daily updates that made us feel that Wally was well taken care of! I will definitely ask Shizuko to dog sit again and I highly recommend her services!”

“Mary took great care of Izzy while we were gone. We got lots of photos and videos of our very happy dog running, playing and then relaxing and getting pats. We will definitely book again!”

“I am so thankful we met Wan and her family. Wasabi stayed a few days said he was very happy with walks and treats. He made new friends 🧡 I trust Wan and hope we get to visit again soon. All the pups she watches seem very happy. I love she sen daily pics of Sabi and friends. It helped us be at ease during vacation. Sabi can be picky eater he loves snacks but not so much his kibble Hope she will have him as a guest again He thoroughly enjoyed his vacation!”

“Juan was excellent! He sent pictures and videos throughout the week and even went out of his way to take Pepper to her own neighborhood trail. Our flight home arrived later than expected and he accommodated our late arrival graciously. We will be booking again with Juan!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Sisco Heights
You know you have a good sitter when you ask your dog "do you want to go see Rebecca?" and they go sprinting to the door! Kiwi was so excited to see her, which is always the best sign. I always know Kiwi is going to be safe and taken care of (and have a ton of fun!) when she's with Rebecca. (I am a Rover employee).

Kimberley was absolutely amazing with Bishop! From the start, she was very communicative, flexible, and accommodating — especially when I needed to adjust my drop-off timing last minute. She kept me updated throughout the stay and made sure Bishop was comfortable, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention, walks, and interaction with other dogs. I really appreciated how attentive she was, even keeping an eye on his stomach when he had a little issue and checking in with me. It gave me peace of mind while I was away knowing he was in great hands. Bishop came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. I would definitely book with Kimberley again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

When I planned a week-long vacation, I knew I’d have to find a pet sitter for my puppy. For most pet parents, leaving your pet with a stranger can be daunting and anxiety inducing. Thankfully, I left my 6 month old puppy with Adena and her lovely family. Adena might have been a stranger when I dropped Cashew off, but after a day or two it felt like I’d left my sweet puppy with family. She was extremely communicative and answered any and all questions I had. Every day I got updates, photos, and videos of my puppy having the best week ever. Adena’s golden retriever, Glacier, was the sweetest, most patient playmate to my rambunctious puppy. Cashew even bonded with Adena’s daughter, following her around the house like a little shadow. Adena and her family will treat your pets with the same love, care, and compassion that they show their own pets. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that Cashew was safe, loved, and having a great vacation of her own! Adena will be the first person I reach out to the next time I need a dog sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sisco Heights home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sisco Heights.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sisco Heights sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
