About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Now that I am retired, I have the time to share my lifelong love of dogs with both you and your furry family members. My experience goes far beyond pet ownership. While serving in the military, I had the privilege of working with dogs, which remains one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. I was responsible for their daily care, training, exercise, and well-being, and my canine partner was by my side throughout the workday. After leaving the military, I continued working with dogs by teaching group obedience classes at PetSmart. I also worked at a board-and-train facility, where I trained dogs and then coached their owners on how to maintain and build upon that training at home. In addition, I provided private obedience lessons, helping dogs learn essential skills while teaching their humans how to communicate effectively and build strong, lasting relationships with their pets. My experience working with military dogs and training companion dogs has given me the confidence and skills to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior dogs, including those that may be shy, strong-willed, or require extra patience and understanding. Whether your dog needs a walk, companionship, exercise, or attentive care while you're away, you can trust that they will be treated with patience, kindness, and the same level of care I would give my own dog. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Now that I am retired, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the dogs in my care. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so walks, playtime, and exercise are something I genuinely look forward to each day. Because I am not balancing a full-time job, I can provide consistent attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, medication, playtime, or simply some extra love and attention while you're away, I have the time and flexibility to make sure their needs are met. I understand that pets thrive on routine, and I do my best to maintain the schedule and care your pet is accustomed to so they feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. Because I provide dog walking and care in my clients' homes, I focus on maintaining your pet's normal routine and environment to help reduce stress and keep them comfortable. During walks, I use secure leashing practices, remain aware of our surroundings, and tailor the walk to your dog's age, energy level, and individual needs. In your home, I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise requirements, and any special preferences or routines. I understand that trust is essential when caring for a family member, and I treat every pet and home with the same respect and attention I would expect for my own. I believe in clear communication and am happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away.

About: My name is Nicole. I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to know what animals were. Between catching potato bugs, feeding the spiders in my windowsills, and moving worms off of sidewalks, I’ve always had a particular connection with the animals that most people don’t understand. As soon as I was old enough, I marched off to the Sonoma County Animal Services to volunteer. From there, it was love at first bark. When I turned 18, I immediately went to animal care as my first real job and was lucky enough to work at Rohnert Park Animal Services for several years. I opened my home to many different rescue critters including snakes, tortoises, rats, lizards, and birds. I rescued my first dog and she is still my best friend to this day 10 years later! Over the years, I was blessed to foster many different exotic animals and worked with the Sacramento SPCA through the pandemic. Shortly after, I made a huge cross-country move and ended up in Louisiana working with all kinds of critters at Northshore Humane Society. From there, I ended up back in my hometown of Sonoma County. Throughout all of these changes, the one variable that never changed was my love for animals and passion for making sure they were safe. Through my 8+ years of shelter experience I have worked with the most feral of feral cats, wildlife brought in shoeboxes, all sizes and shapes of dogs, and so much more. I have met and befriended many pets that were reluctant to be befriended and worked with virtually every breed of cat and dog on the planet. I am fear-free certified and have extensive experience with medication management, basic first-aid, canine CPR, and basic training for both dogs and cats. I am experienced with walking large breeds including reactive dogs and can handle heavy pullers (I have TWO huskies!). I have also volunteered with the Bird Rescue Center of Sonoma County and have a special skillset with exotic animals. My two personal rescue dogs are half husky and bully breed which are two of the most misunderstood dog breeds, so there will be no breed discrimination from me. My favorite furry friends are often shy, tricky to befriend, or nervous. Making a scared baby comfortable means the world to me and I love the challenge. As stated above, I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets including rats, mice, birds, snakes, tortoises, turtles, fish, lizards, invertebrates, and spiders. I am perfectly comfortable with your exotic pet’s diet and am familiar with feeding snakes and other reptiles frozen-thawed rodents. The only animals I won’t consider petsitting for are species that are illegal to own or venomous. If I had to summarize my truest passion, it would be making sure that every single animal feels safe and comfortable. Even if they’re not perfect, they all deserve kindness and patience. We don’t expect perfection from humans, but we so frequently expect it of animals. So if your pet is a little bit quirky or one of those types that gets dismissed as “scary” or “mean”, you’ve found a person that will give them exactly what they need to feel loved and cherished. Because no pet is perfect, but they are perfect for you. My promise to you is that I will do my best to be your baby’s new BFF. No pet sitter will truly replace you, but I will make sure that I’m the second-best thing. I work from home as an administrative assistant for my husband's guitar studio, so I have a flexible schedule to meet your specific needs. I have access to a reliable car and am happy to do multiple drop-ins so your buddy is comfortable all day long. My motto is that ALL animals deserve humane, kind, and compassionate care. My 16 years in animal shelters has gifted me with experience handling virtually every type of pet of all different shapes, sizes, personalities, and needs. I am certified in fear-free training and utilize positive reinforcement only. I'm passionate about cooperative care and ethical handling no matter the circumstances. I understand that every pet is different and will learn how to make your best bud feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I’m the perfect person to hang out with and cuddle your furry friend while you’re away. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I am home for most of the day and am typically not gone from the home for more than a couple hours at a time. Love having the pets sleep with me and venture out to hiking spots or day trips if that is something that suits them.

About: Hi! I'm Sarah. I love all animals and like to give them the care and love they deserve! I’ve had pets all my life. I'm kind, positive, gentle, and calm. My patience and calm demeanor allow animals to feel very comfortable around me. I have experience giving cats subcutaneous fluids 3x/wk for 7 months, oral meds (liquid and pill form for 1.5 years), facials, baths, and showers. and I'm sensitive & observant to animals' needs. I do my best to understand animal behavior and what they're communicating. When I adopted my cats, Sparkles & Zorro, they truly adopted me as their mom. They were a few months old & I was 10. I was their person, and the only one Sparkles completely trusted. They passed in 2019 & 2024. My dad and I found and revived a young robin from a flood after a tornado. When I come across wildlife or strays in need, I will go to the ends of the earth to help. In college I had a zoology emphasis & interned at an exotic wildlife rehabilitation center. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter washing dogs, cleaning kennels, & socializing with cats & dogs. I also volunteered at a farm animal sanctuary. We began rescuing cats since the LA wildfires and I fostered one. With a positive attitude and a readiness to learn, I'd complete the tasks assigned, giving attention to the animals as I go along. After finishing my work on the sanctuary, I'd thoroughly socialize with the animals, spending time in different barns/rooms each week so that all, from pigs to cats, receive equal attention. My skills allow me to notice a creature in need of help and be an advocate until the animal is safe and/or in the right hands. In addition to being an animal-lover, I am a people-person who enjoys the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. About: Ever since I remember, I was always surrounded by multiple pets, as my mom rescued many different animals. When I got old enough, I helped her caring for all the pets, and she taught me, how to be responsible while caring for animals. When I was 14, I started to pet sit for other people, and they were all very satisfied with the care their pet received. I am comfortable and confident around dogs of every size and breed, and cats. I have plenty of experience with dogs who require special care, including senior dogs, high energy dogs and anxious dogs. I am comfortable administering medication to cats and dogs. Caring for animals always brings me so much joy, and I hope to meet your furry child soon! :) I am a college student, who is currently on summer break and works part-time. If your pet needs company all the time, I can typically work around it! :) I am a responsible pet sitter, and have plenty of experience caring for animals in my house and also in the owners’ home. I have a fenced yard, and I go on multiple walks every day with my dog, Baldur. He is friendly with dogs and cats, but due to his age, he is not very playful anymore. However if your dog wants to play with other dogs, I often have other dogs I am pet sitting in my house, so it is likely, that your pet can meet new friends during their stay. There is also a dog park near to our house, where I am willing to take your dog if they require playtime with other dogs. If your dog is shy or more reserved, my house is big enough to provide a separated room to hang out! In our home, dogs are allowed on the furniture and bed, and most of the dogs I sit before slept with me on the bed! :) If I pet sit an animal in the client’s home, I always ensure to follow all the instructions the owner gives me about their home, and I always make sure that when I leave, the pet stays safe in their environment. I am familiar with pet CPR and First Aid, and my partner, who lives with me is pet CPR certified. When I go for longer walks with dogs, I always have water and a transportable bowl with me, so I can make sure, that your dog has always access to water, even during walks. We have air conditioning in the house, so if it is too hot outside, I can just chill with the dogs inside the house and make sure that they do not overheat.
