“Joshua was incredible with our pup ! We had a very busy week & had to rely on Joshua to ensure our dog had some stability while we weren’t able to. We felt comfortable with Joshua entering the house with no one home & taking good care of our pup including feeding her after their walk. Thank you Joshua !”

“Peyton has been great with my dog who struggles with aggressive greetings towards people and other dogs. She is very responsive, understands dog behavior, and is always on time. I’m relieved to have someone I can rely on for when I need to travel.”
About: I have been a dedicated pet owner and animal lover my entire life, caring for both dogs and cats from childhood through adulthood. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of raising and caring for multiple pets, including those adopted, rescued, or entrusted to me by others. At one point, I lovingly managed a household of five pets, ensuring each received attentive, compassionate care. My experience also includes caring for a beloved dog left to me by a close friend, honoring his wish that I provide a safe and loving home. Today, I continue that same level of care by helping my son and his wife with their dogs whenever they travel—my “granddogs,” who I adore. With a lifetime of hands-on experience, I understand the importance of trust, consistency, and genuine affection when it comes to pet care. I am now excited to extend that care to others in my community, offering reliable, attentive support for pet owners who need assistance while traveling or during busy workdays. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your pets—they will be treated like family. I'm currently retired I retired from the federal government working for the NOAA Hurricane Hunters after 33 years of service. I've been enjoying travel and visiting with family and friends and when I'm home I thought I could do some things that I enjoy and help other people that may need or want to travel or just need help with their fur babies 🐕🐾🐈⬛️🐈 I currently do this for my son and his wife when they want to travel the world or have business trips with my granddogs 👑🐾😆🐕 For clients that need assistance with pet sitting, I usually love to have an outline of what you prefer so that I can honor the type care that you also provide your pets. I follow an outline when I care for my family's pets when they travel and they provide the list of the vitamins or any quarks or anything that I need to know a timeline and I just try to honor whoever needs care by how they would like the care handled while they are away. The main thing is that I don't want anybody to worry when I'm caring for their pets. You should be able to travel and handle business trips or vacations without worrying if you're not able to take your pet with you that they're safe and well cared for. I also like to make notes daily,if I'm giving vitamins or supplements or anything occurs I want to share. I like to keep track of it and leave that sheet for you when you return.
About: Hi there, I'm Lyndsay! Newer to Rover but highly experienced! I am a Top Sitter on other platforms with over 200 clients and 150+ five-star reviews. I am a 29, and I've been doing this for 8 years, so I am very understanding of what a dog needs, and will always keep their emotions, safety and energy level all into focus for them to have the best time possible that is beneficial to them! I am known to aimlessly walk around the streets of nyc, letting the city call towards different spots it wants me to see, a perfect quality for walking lovely dogs! Now that I have moved to Flordia, I have all of this pent up energy to be around all the amazing flordia dogs that need love and care! I have three family dogs, one older American Eskimo, and two Border Collies under the age of 4, meaning I am still equip and up to date with handling puppies. My baby sister turns 18 in May and is a type 1 diabetic. Through this experience, I want to help find her the perfect diabetic dog to aid in her growth! I used to have a senior dog who passed away from cancer (bless his soul) but in his final stages, we crafted such a lovely last year of his life through love, support and comfort. This meant, taking medications, being fragile and cautious, but above all, find the love in his heart. I can't wait to meet, play and love your furry friends :) I have a very relaxed schedule, so I am easily accommodating and eager to help out! This is a full time job for me, as I have had over 200 clients over the past 8 years, juggling both this Wag! and personal clients. I have a fenced yard and 3 other dogs inside of my own family home! If they want friendship, we can have playtime. If not, I can crate my own if needed for the safety of everyone involved!
“Aaron and Bethany were great. I naturally worried because I’ve never had to leave them before with someone I didn’t know but I worried for nothing. I would definitely choose them again.”

About: Animals have been a joyful part of my life for over 30 years. I’ve cared for many kinds of pets, but most importantly dogs and cats. Over the years I’ve also pet sat for friends and family, volunteered with animal rescues, and worked for a local veterinarian for a couple of years which I loved! I truly believe animals give us unconditional love, and caring for them brings me great happiness. I am dependable, trustworthy, and prompt, and I will take great pride in caring for your pets with the same attention, patience, and kindness that I give my own. When you’re away, you can feel confident knowing your pets are safe, loved, and treated like family. Pet care, for me, is part of my daily life at home! I will look forward to taking care of your fur family members with great care when you’re away. I currently have two awesome dogs named Rue and Liz and 1 turtle named Pearl. Animals are a part of who I am! I care for my pets as if they were my children. My dogs are inside most of the time with plenty of backyard fun including, playing fetch, frisbee, bath time, which they love, and walks around the neighborhood. My cat Spencer passed away at 21yrs old recently; he was the heart of our fur family and he knew it! Towards his later days he required daily medication and with extra love and care he spent his final days peacefully at home. He was dearly loved and yours will be also. You can trust that when I’m at your home your feline or pup will be cared for as if they were my own!
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life in which I’ve been apart of their care giving and love. I adore animals more than anything and would love to help out other’s pets! I’ve had my Bella since 2020 and that’s when I really became a big part of animal care. I’m an upcoming college student who loves animals more than anything, I have a flexible schedule and will do everything in my power to meet you and your dog’s needs! I will meet any needs your dog requires and I frequently check food, water, bathroom breaks, etc. to make your dog as comfortable and loved for as possible.

Only times I will not be available as if I have important things that have come to my attention. Such as medical visits and other various important appointments I keep all animals well fed.Make sure they have plenty of time to play.Go on walks and rest with plenty of peting and I make sure any special needs are met for the animals
About: I've owned and cared for all types of dogs. I've walked and cared for large and small. I've experenced easy, well trained to the most challenging. I love them all. I'm retired, so I can easily work in walks, drop-ins, and sittings during my days. Most days I'm available after 10 A.M., but I'm flexible. I only do care at the pet parent's house, and I follow the guidelines the pet-parent sets because routines are important for consistency. I will always respect your home.
“Rosemary has been an incredibly dependable and caring dog walker for my senior dog, Lola. She shows up on time, communicates clearly, and handles Lola’s aging needs with such patience and compassion. Her gentle bedside manner gives me real peace of mind, knowing Lola is in thoughtful and capable hands. I’m truly grateful for the care she provides and highly recommend her to anyone with an older or special-needs pup.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs on and off since I was 12 years old. From Rottweilers to Malteses, I have experience with many different breeds in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I enjoy feeding, socializing, and exercising dogs, even minor grooming such as brushing and nail clipping. I’ve traveled to North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania to care for dogs long term in their residences. I truly care for dogs as they’re such loving, loyal companions who deserve the same love and loyalty reciprocated. I also have 5 years experience of bird care! I currently have a pretty flexible schedule that allows me to have plenty of time to care for your pets! I’m more than happy to discuss your needs. Caring for your pet in your home allows them comfort and a sense of peace that they wouldn’t have in a new environment. I respect your home as I respect your pet! I will always follow your rules and conduct myself in a professional manner. Your pet’s care is my #1 priority!
About: I have always had an admiration for animals no matter the type. But for some reason the love that you get in return from a dog is just indescribable. I know that it is always a weary feeling to leave your babies in the care of someone else. But it definitely helps to know that the person caring for your pet shares the same passion that you do. I never thought that I would own small dogs but I am actually glad that I do have two Chihuahuas now because I can take them almost anywhere! There has been an occasional weekend trip where I haven't been able to bring the pups along and it just didn't feel the same having to leave them behind. So if you have to leave them, leave them with someone who will care for them just as well as their own! I definitely prioritize my pets before any plans are made! No matter the time of day, week or year. They are my fur babies and anyone that knows me will agree! Depending on the environment or location, I would definitely say to use a leash first and foremost. I would also like to know if you know about the other animals in the area, just to provide as much safety as possible.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for over five years now. My family and friends rely on me when they go out of town or call me when they need advice on how to care for their pets :) I work fives days a week Monday-Friday 5a-1:30p and I’m off on the weekends so that leaves plenty of time to spend relaxing around the house or running around the yard or whatever else they may fancy I live in a large house with a huge fenced in yard that all the doggies love! So there’s plenty of space for the furry friends to frolic and just be happy and play
“Ashley has been wonderful. She walked Junior in the mornings while staying with my in-laws which was very helpful since they can’t walk him. She would keep us updated, sent us wonderful pictures, and Junior seems excited every time he left and arrived with her, according to my in-laws. I’m so glad we booked her, she took very good care of him and gave him great company while we were out! Will use again if he ever stays with his grandparents again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
