“We hesitated writing a review because, honestly, we’re selfish and don’t want his popularity to skyrocket, making it harder to book him! But he truly deserves it more than anyone on Rover. He’s amazing! Quick to respond, always on time, no matter the weather—whether it’s raining or ridiculously hot. We trust him 100%. He even has the code to our front door, comes in, gets the dogs, makes them happy, and brings them back exhausted (which is no easy feat with our two energetic GSPs). So, long story short—book him! You won’t regret it.”

“Karla has been a Godsend! One of my dogs is very difficult and she has him so well behaved. I don't knows what we would've done if we hadn't found her. It would've required renting a car and taking the doggies with us. Karla the best thing that's happened for us. 5 out of 5 for sure!”

“Ruth is always quick to respond to my messages and is very reliable. She makes sure to keep my updated on my girl’s status when she walks her and always sends me pictures. She’s flexible and understanding as well. I’m very happy and lucky to have found her since I moved to a new area.”

“Bethany and Aaron did a great job. Our dogs love them both. They communicate regularly and even send pictures. This is the second time we have used them and we are sure our pups are well taken care of. Would definitely recommend.”

About: I’m a 23-year-old registered pediatric nurse with a lifelong love for animals! Becoming a veterinarian was actually my second career choice because of how much I’ve always enjoyed caring for animals. I grew up with dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds and sizes. My family had Boxers and Pit Bulls throughout my childhood, and we also rescued several different breeds as I got older. I’ve cared for my own childhood dogs, as well as family and friends’ dogs, since I was a teenager. I also have experience caring for senior dogs. We recently lost our beloved 15-year-old Shih Tzu-Bichon mix, who was a very special part of our family. Caring for him throughout his senior years taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, gentle care, and understanding that older dogs may have different routines and needs. My husband and I currently have a one-year-old Pit Bull whom we rescued from the SPCA when he was just two months old. Caring for him has given me even more experience with puppies, high energy dogs, training, patience, and understanding each dog’s individual personality and needs. As a pediatric nurse, I’m naturally patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable following detailed care instructions. I understand how important it is to treat every pet as an individual and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, an energetic adult, or a senior who needs a little extra patience and care, I would love the opportunity to treat them like family while you’re away. I work three days a week, including every Saturday and Sunday, with my third workday varying. My schedule gives me plenty of time on my days off to dedicate to caring for pets. I’ll consistently update my Rover calendar so my availability is accurate. I am married so my household consists of my husband and I and our 1 year old pit bull. However, I will be handling all of the care involving your pet when you book with me ! My priority is making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’ll keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, follow their care instructions, and make sure they receive plenty of attention. For stays in my home, I’ll also make sure your pet and my dog are a good fit and are introduced safely.
“Kylee took excellent care of our dog Lady and cat Scamp. She sent us pics of Lady doing her happy dance post walk and let us know each time she was arriving and departing. I would book Kylee's services again in a heartbeat.”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up with a dog and two cats and honestly, I can’t remember a time when there wasn’t a furry friend by my side. I’ve always been surrounded by animals, from family pets to farm animals, and over the years I’ve become the go-to pet sitter for friends and neighbors. Now that I’m a college student, I really miss having animals around, so I’m excited to share my love and care with your pets! Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets like my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and I’ll always make sure they’re safe, happy, and loved! I am currently in a social work graduate program, so I am in an internship during the weekdays 9am-4pm. I can usually work around those times, and I try to be as flexible as I can, so please reach out even if my calendar says I’m not available! I live in a pet-friendly apartment with two friendly cats (who can easily be separated if needed), a screened-in patio perfect for lounging, and access to a dog park and safe walking trail nearby. It’s a cozy, welcoming space where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I’m comfortable following any specific care routines or instructions you provide, and I’m also very intuitive when it comes to understanding an animal’s needs and emotions. Whether your pet needs extra playtime, quiet companionship, or just someone to make them feel secure while you’re away, I’m happy to provide that love and attention.
“Elizabeth was great with my dog! Kept me updated on how my girl was and very patient with her as my dog was a little nervous at first when she got there for her walk. I received a picture of my girl and even an update on my cat! I will definitely rebook for her to come see my dog for a walk!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and can’t imagine a home without them. Caring for dogs—whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship—comes naturally to me. I’ve worked with both energetic puppies and senior dogs who need extra patience and care. My background as a mental health therapist has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and ability to read nonverbal cues—helping me understand a dog’s body language and needs. I’m reliable, safety-focused, and affectionate, and I always keep pet parents updated with check-ins and photos daily. Your dog’s happiness and well-being are my top priority. I work from home, so pets are never alone while I’m caring for them. I can provide feedings, extra attention, and cuddles throughout the day. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
