About: I have had animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years, I've cared for pets of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels-from high energy pups who need lots of playtime to older pets who prefer a slower pace and extra TLC. I'm well versed in basic pet first aid and always pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe capable hands. I know how important peace of mind is when you're away, and i take that responsibility seriously. At home, I have a very full (and very spoiled) house-one dog, two cats, and a guinea pig- so I'm used to managing different routines personalities and needs. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I'll treat them like one of my own-with plenty of attention, care and extra belly rubs! This is currently my main focus so i have a completely open schedule to accommodate pet parents that may need me at all hours based on their needs I have access to several dog friendly parks and trails near my home as well as a crew cab truck so even the largest dogs can enjoy a ride. I also keep a dog seatbelt and pet friendly steps in the truck in case anyone needs a little extra hand getting in

Joshua was incredible with our pup ! We had a very busy week & had to rely on Joshua to ensure our dog had some stability while we weren’t able to. We felt comfortable with Joshua entering the house with no one home & taking good care of our pup including feeding her after their walk. Thank you Joshua !

About: When I was in high school I took 3 years of veterinary technician class and got my cva. I’ve worked at a vet clinic taking care boarding and hospital pets for 4 years. I’ve own my own dogs and even fostered some. I’m currently unemployed but I am a single mother so I have plenty time for any scheduling and time for your furry babies. At the moment I’m available for most times. I don’t have a fenced in yard and I have a roommate, who has a cat, and two young children so I won’t be providing any boarding services at my home.

Shayla has been absolutely amazing with my dog! I’ve had to make a few last-minute requests, and she has always been so accommodating and comes through for me every time. About: All my life I have enjoyed spending time with animals, learning their personalities, and helping with their care. I have volunteered at the Pet Resource Center in both the cat and dog play areas and cared for my own pets. I have taken care of cats for the last 8 years, having 4 and up to 5 cats in my care at any given time. I have also helped my friends and neighbors with their dogs including boarding at my house and daily visits while my friends were on vacation. I look forward to helping you with your furry friends and making them feel loved and special! I currently work from home and can be available in the mornings before 8am. I am also available after work 4:30pm and during lunch time I would keep your pet’s schedule as close as possible to their owners daily routine. Also, I would treat your home with respect and care if I am watching pets in your home and will leave the way I found it.

About: I have been a dedicated pet owner and animal lover my entire life, caring for both dogs and cats from childhood through adulthood. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of raising and caring for multiple pets, including those adopted, rescued, or entrusted to me by others. At one point, I lovingly managed a household of five pets, ensuring each received attentive, compassionate care. My experience also includes caring for a beloved dog left to me by a close friend, honoring his wish that I provide a safe and loving home. Today, I continue that same level of care by helping my son and his wife with their dogs whenever they travel—my “granddogs,” who I adore. With a lifetime of hands-on experience, I understand the importance of trust, consistency, and genuine affection when it comes to pet care. I am now excited to extend that care to others in my community, offering reliable, attentive support for pet owners who need assistance while traveling or during busy workdays. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your pets—they will be treated like family. I'm currently retired I retired from the federal government working for the NOAA Hurricane Hunters after 33 years of service. I've been enjoying travel and visiting with family and friends and when I'm home I thought I could do some things that I enjoy and help other people that may need or want to travel or just need help with their fur babies 🐕🐾🐈‍⬛️🐈 I currently do this for my son and his wife when they want to travel the world or have business trips with my granddogs 👑🐾😆🐕 For clients that need assistance with pet sitting, I usually love to have an outline of what you prefer so that I can honor the type care that you also provide your pets. I follow an outline when I care for my family's pets when they travel and they provide the list of the vitamins or any quarks or anything that I need to know a timeline and I just try to honor whoever needs care by how they would like the care handled while they are away. The main thing is that I don't want anybody to worry when I'm caring for their pets. You should be able to travel and handle business trips or vacations without worrying if you're not able to take your pet with you that they're safe and well cared for. I also like to make notes daily,if I'm giving vitamins or supplements or anything occurs I want to share. I like to keep track of it and leave that sheet for you when you return.

About: Hello all! I currently work from home and have all the time to pay close attention to the care of your beloved family member. I grew up in a show dog home and to this day I still help my family at dog shows around the state. I used to be a veterinary technician so I can care for pets who are on a strict routine. I play very close attention to routines, and give a bunch of pets and love. From puppies to seniors or docile to rambunctious. I can handle them all. Your beloved family member will be in good hands with me. I also know how to do a bit of grooming. Say if you needed bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning or all of the above. I would love to care for your lovely family member. Thank you so very much for your consideration. I work full time remote from the comfort of my own home. I am very thankful to be able to have as much time as I can with my own personal pets and those of others. Animals are my passion. I studied animal science/zoology in the university of Florida and was a veterinary technician for 5 years. I strive to give every animal the amount of love I give my own.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Keysville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Keysville.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Keysville. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
