About: Aloha! I’m Amber, a pet sitter based in Grand Junction, Colorado, with 14 years of pet care experience. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors, as well as a wide variety of breeds and sizes, ranging from Yorkies to Great Danes. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and individual needs, and I tailor their care accordingly. - I currently offer boarding in my home for up to three dogs from the same household at a time, allowing me to provide each guest with plenty of individual attention and care. My goal is to provide a comfortable, home-like environment where your pets can feel safe, settled, and cared for while you’re away. - In addition to dogs, I have previous experience caring for cats, birds, reptiles, and other small animals. I’m not currently offering standalone boarding services for these pets; however, additional pets from the same household may be considered when boarding your dog. - At this time, I’m only offering boarding in my home and am not available for in-home pet sitting at other locations. Feel free to message me with any questions or to discuss your pet’s individual needs! I work from home, so I’ll be available throughout your pet’s stay to help maintain their normal routine and make sure they feel comfortable and secure. Home Environment: My home has a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time, play, and potty breaks. We also live just a short drive from a local trail and park. I have a 20 lb male Havanese who lives in the home. - Drop-Off & Introductions: I typically do a quick door hand-off at drop-off to help keep the transition calm and minimize distractions. Once your dog(s) come inside with me, they’re given time to explore the space at their own pace. We’ll unpack their things and give them some time to settle in and get comfortable before introducing them to my dog. Introductions are done one-on-one, gradually, and under my close supervision. - Exclusive Care & Multiple-Household Bookings: For safety and to help everyone adjust comfortably, I accept no more than three guest dogs at a time. For dogs who are reactive or have higher exercise and enrichment needs, including some high-energy and sporting breeds, I may limit this to two depending on my partner’s schedule so I can provide each dog with the attention they need. I’ve recently opened up my schedule to accept weekend daycare bookings from different households at the same time. At the time I respond to your initial request, I actively consider your dog(s) on my schedule while we’re ironing out the details. If another household is interested in the same dates, I’ll always let you know and discuss it with you first. I will not accept another household once your dog(s) are already in my care unless it has been discussed and approved by you prior to arrival. If you prefer exclusive care, please let me know! There is no additional charge for exclusive care, and once your booking is confirmed as exclusive, I will not accept another household for the same dates or overlapping drop-off/pick-up times. If there happens to be a same-day drop-off/pick-up conflict due to close timing windows, I’ll work with you to see if your dog(s) are comfortable riding in my car or truck and whether pickup or drop-off at your home would be a good option. Certain households will automatically receive exclusive care, including females in heat, intact males, puppies who are still completing their vaccination series, and senior dogs with modified vaccination schedules. For multiple-household bookings, I will confirm that all dogs are up to date on core vaccinations plus Bordetella. Safety comes first, and multiple-household bookings will always depend on each dog’s temperament, needs, and compatibility. - Supervision & Separation: Playtime is supervised, and separation from my own dog using a playpen or kennel is available as needed for individual enrichment, personal space, or throughout the stay if your dog(s) are more comfortable on their own. Dogs are also separated during mealtimes based on their individual needs, feeding habits, and comfort levels. - Routines & Training Tools: If your dog normally sleeps or eats in a crate, please bring it with them when possible so I can maintain their usual routine. Depending on the size of their crate or setup, I may not always be able to accommodate their typical arrangement, so please let me know in advance. Barking is completely expected, so please don’t worry if your dog tends to be vocal. I just appreciate a heads up! If your dog currently uses a clicker, e-collar, muzzle, or other training tool as part of their established routine, I’m happy to continue using it during their stay. Please let me know ahead of time and provide any instructions needed for proper use. - Last-Minute Bookings & Availability: For last-minute bookings, I may have prior commitments that require me to be out of the home for a short period. If so, I’ll let you know prior to confirming. My partner, Dalton, also works from home and would be here during that timeframe to watch over your dog(s). I also have two Furbo cameras set up in the home so I can check in while I’m away. - At this time, I only offer pet sitting in my home and am not available for in-home sitting at other locations.
“We have 2 dogs that have very different needs and personalities. They adjusted quickly to Robin and she did a great job taking care of them. I felt completely confident leaving them in her care. Plan on employing her again!”

About: I am an avid animal lover with 13 years of experience under my belt! I’ve take care of dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and rabbits and loved every second of it and I would love to take care of your pets too. I make sure to treat every single animal like my own and as if they were a human baby which essentially they are! I have taken care of animals for family and friends as well as my own and I wish to become a sitter on rover to continue this while helping others out in this crazy world! As it’s summer I am available Monday-Wednesday for the entire day! I do work the rest of the week but I can fit sitting/walks in when needed/requested. I care for pets like they are my own and they are beautiful animals with emotions just like us and I treat them as such. With care, compassion, love, respect and I make sure to engage with them so they get their daily mental stimulation either through playing or puzzles!
“Ariel took this job at literally the last second for us and she did an amazing job with our fur babies. She was very communicative, kept our pup active, and took time to reassure us that the cat wouldn't get out! I will go to her first if I need someone to take care of our kiddos again. Thank you Ariel!”

About: Hello! I have owned animals my entire life, and I absolutely adore them! I love animals, and spend as much time with them as possible! About this sitter: I have watched pets for coworkers and friends for as long as I can remember. I am reliable, experienced, and passionate. I will love your animals as if they were my own! I have owned dogs, birds, fish, horses, and more! Why I love dog sitting I've been around dogs my entire life, and I adore them! Big, small, they are all adorable. Animals are extremely therapeutic, and they are such good friends. My experience administering medication Not comfortable I work full time so I can care for pets outside of my regular work schedule. I work varying shifts during the week, as well as a second job occasionally on the weekends. I care for pets with the love and kindness they deserve. I will always respect your space and your belongings. I have a calm demeanor that animals respond well to.
About: I have had pets of all sorts my entire life. My earliest memories are of helping my parents care for and train each litter of our Siberian husky puppies before they go to they're forever homes. I am currently a stay at home mom to my 3yr old son and 1yr old daughter. We just bought a 1200sqft house in OM with a privacy fenced yard and doggy door. You're pet will have the freedom to go in and out as they please . If I go anywhere between 8 am- 5pm Mon-Fri I have to take my kids with otherwise I'm free. You can also find pictures and videos on my Facebook page Victoria's Bark-tastic Doggy Daycare! I have a roughly 12 year old miniature schnauzer that wasn't the most sociable guy when I met him about 7 years ago. Since then I have been taking him out to new places and to meet other dogs. He has two Great Dane friends he plays with well. Mostly him bouncing off of them and having them chase him. He also likes to lay flat in the grass and wait for them to get close then pounce at them to get them to chase him. He couldn't care less about toys but loves a good quality treat. I can bring him along upon request! My kids absolutely love dogs and are always gentle and respectful. My son loves to throw toys for them and give them treats. He even makes our dog sit before giving him a treat. He also gets to play with the Danes! He loves going around and finding a good stick to give them to chew on. My daughter absolutely loves to give nice pets ( with supervision) and loves to watch them play. I have to bring them with me before 4pm. So if you're looking to provide your dog with some new social situations I'm your gal! I do have to ask that you request care atleast a few days before drop off that way we can do a meet and greet to make sure there will be no issues during your pets stay. I also live down a shared driveway please park somewhere on the street and i will meet you down there. I am up every day between 6-7 am to start the days chores before the sun gets to high. We've got a lawn, two flower beds and a veggies garden to care for. Afterwards I get the kiddos ready for school. Once they've been dropped off my senior dog and I go on our morning nieborhood walk through the park and back. We would love for your pup to join us! As a SAHM i have free time all the way up until 3:30 for school pick up. Each pup is an individual with thier own quirks. Therefore care is modified per each pets needs. For example I would take a 3 year old hound on a much longer sniffy walk than I would a 10 year old lab. Being in Colorado i also account for weather and can modify the days activities if outside is not an option.

Emily was fantastic with Olive! I booked her last minute, and she was communicative throughout the whole process. While I was away, she provided updates on Olive with photos and suggestions (like leaving the TV on) to make my pup more comfortable while alone. I felt confident that Olive was in great hands while I was away. I would 100% have Emily watch Olive again in the future!

Great job! Very responsible, kept in touch beautifully, photos of the animals and comments given about their care and attention. I’ve come home and everything looks good. The animals are happy, the litters clean. All instructions re cat tins and litter followed. Thank you Brooke!

I can’t express enough how great Annabelle is! I work 12 hr night shifts and she graciously accepted to let my pup out at a late time to help me out. She is punctual and goes above and beyond for my dog! She treats her as if she is her own. I didn’t even ask her but when my grass was wet she wiped her paws before coming in. I highly recommend Annabelle to anyone looking for a dog sitter/walker!

Melanie is amazing!! She is so caring and attentive. All my girls loved her including my very shy kitty. I can't recommend her enough! Looking forward to using her services again. If you're needing a sitter, look no further because you have found one of the best!! Thank you, Melanie. You are so appreciated!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
