“Lauren was quick to respond to my request for pet sitting over Thanksgiving weekend. She accepted the job and followed through on her promise after several others backed out on us. She took good care of our two cats and kept us informed. Highly recommend her to care for your pets.”

“Patricia is an excellent communicator and very dependable. She was very kind and loving to our pups. She played frisbee with our very energetic Border Collies, took them for walks, and on a day when it was too hot for frisbee, she spent time playing with them indoors. The younger pup was having a difficult time with his first-ever overnight without his people. She gave him extra loving care. I would highly recommend Patricia.”

“Jordan did a wonderful job with our two cats and was very attentive to each of their individual needs. We appreciated the photos and updates each day we were gone. She was very communicative and professional. We highly recommend Jordan for your sitting needs!”

“Annabelle has been great with our skittish cat, Ekko. She’s very patient and kind and makes sure to go at Ekko’s pace. Ekko has started coming out of her shell around Annabelle which is great and makes me feel comfortable leaving Ekko in her care.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover all my life. I’ve been providing personal pet care for the past two years. I get along with dogs of all ages and breeds. I will follow and maintain daily medication and feeding schedules of any complexity. I will follow all instructions given to ensure your furry friend gets the care they need. I just need to know what they can and can’t do and will make sure they are on their best behavior while I care for them.
“We greatly appreciated Robin's attentive care of our two cats, one of which can be quite a handful. She made sure both of them got the love and attention they needed, for a first-time and fairly last minute booking. We could not be more grateful for her flexibility!”

“Cecily did great with Binx! It was the longest I’ve ever been away from the little guy, and she sat and played with him to keep him company while I was away. Highly recommended her to watch your fur babies!”

About: I've been caring for animals for my whole life, I've always had pets, and have been a walker on apps for 6+ years. I'm always willing to sit, board or walk. I volunteer with a small nonprofit that provides service dogs to disabled veterans and hope I can positively impact you and your pets. I currently volunteer, and work part-time with flexibility, so I can frequently pick-up/drop-off or check-in on your pets. My home is pet friendly with two cats. I do currently serve in the Navy reserves, so I travel to Denver once a month for a couple days, but I always know my schedule ahead of time. I have two cats who are comfortable around dogs, live in a two bedroom apartment, with close access to a grassy area and some local parks.
About: I have experience working with dogs big and small. I walk, feed, and bathe my dog. I enjoy all animals though. As long as you give me all the instructions I’ll follow them. I’ll also give them affection and attention so they aren’t so lonely while you’re gone. I currently have a part time job but I’m looking for something to do that’s going to give me a little extra joy. I usually only work a couple hours a day. I’m interested in helping keep your animal happy and healthy taking them to potty or just for a walk so that they aren’t stuck in the house all day whatever is needed.
About: What sets me apart is a lifetime of caring for animals of every kind. I love dogs and cats, and all animals . Your pet will receive patient, dependable, loving care and personalized attention while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I have reliable transportation, a flexible schedule, and plenty of time to provide dependable, attentive care for your pets whenever you need it. I care for every pet as if they were my own. I’m dependable, have a strong work ethic, and believe every animal deserves kindness, respect, and attentive care. I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean environment, exercise, playtime, affection, and any medications or special care they need. I believe animals know when they are loved, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“Kasse is always on time with giving all the love to my furry alligator. She is very professional, while still having fun with a job that should be fun. Second time using her services and will be returning”

About: I grew up with pets and my mom had a petsitting business we operated out of our home. I helped with that and also worked at a doggy daycare. I'm currently self-employed part-time and can't think of a better way to spend my time than with your fur family while you're away. Available every day of the week and can stay in your home or just stop by a couple times per day! When house/pet sitting, I make sure your pets are played with, snuggled, and fed according to your pet's routine. The important thing I want is to make sure they are safe and comfortable in their familiar surroundings. And I will clean up after myself before the client returns home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Whitewater
Lauren has been an excellent cat sitter. Super responsive via rover chat and very attentive to my written list of cat needs. She even offered to split a 1 hour visit into two 30-min visits when she sensed my nervousness about leaving my cats for so long. She has been great about keeping me updated and sending pics. I feel very comfortable with my pets in her care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
