“Dan was able to accommodate a daycare session last minute when we had a medical emergency. He cared for our pup like his own, sent a bunch of pictures spread throughout the day and even a video. This really helped us to know that our pup was having a fun time and being well cared for. We are grateful for Dan and his pups for the wonderful day they gave our pup while we were dealing with serious health issues. If you’ve come across Dan while looking for someone to care for your dog, look no further. If he has space on your schedule, just press request.”

“Paulette and Charlie were wonderful hosts and were very attentive. They have plenty of room for dogs to run in their very large backyard. Our Bode and their dog Molly hit it off instantly and played well together. Bode had a great time. We’re already planning our next trip(s) to the western slope. We’ll definitely be booking with Paulette and Charlie again!”

“Julia was able to help me with a last minute request for daycare while I was at work. She was so good to my Finley and very professional and accommodating. I would absolutely use Julia again for dog sitting.”

“Marci was very accommodating to my schedule and very communicative. She also didn't allow the size of my dog to intimidate her. Her dogs were very friendly I recommend her for any dog!”

“Amazing experience. Great person and sitter. Immediately felt comfortable leaving our dog, and our dog gave no hesitation to walk in, stay, and be left. We have a nervous dog, so new places and people can make her hesitant. She immediately took to the sitter and the house. We received pics of her activities through the day and she seemed so happy and confident. If she is uncomfortable it becomes obvious quickly, once we received a pic of her napping and comfortable we knew we made the right decision. I am so glad we took our dog here, and she came home tired and stress free. Wonderful experience. Next time we come to the area this is the person we want to watch our dog.”

“Suzanne is simply awesome! I had been quite apprehensive because this was Pixie’s first stay away from home and she gets nervous around strangers. I need not have worried. Both Suzanne and her husband Dan knew exactly how to approach Pixie and make her comfortable. Suzanne kept me updated and sent me plenty of pictures. She contacted me when Pixie initially refused to eat and figured out ways to entice Pixie out of her shell. Suzanne and Dan took Pixie out for walks ; had her sleep on their bed and thoroughly spoilt her !They genuinely understand and care for dogs. If you think your dog deserves the absolute best, then look no further.”

“Katie is AWESOME!! Her property is outside of town and off the beaten path - which makes it an ideal spot for dogs to spread out and explore. Katie is excellent at communication before, during and after your booking. She offers fantastic pics of your pet’s adventures during their stay and she truly cares for your dogs like they are her own. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Linda and Javi are amazing Rover hosts. Very friendly and easy to work with. Their place is clean and has plenty of space for the dogs to play. They treated mine like one of their own. Highly recommend!”

“Our first time using Rover….. and we loved Catherine! She was great with communication leading up to the visit and was prompt with picking up and delivering our Olive. She’s had some other small dogs that Olive played with throughout the day, and she was delivered back happy and exhausted. We are tent camping and she took her self to bed way before the night was over! We will definitely be using Catherine again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Eleshia was everything we could hope for and more! She took great care of our small dog, was flexible on timing, and offered up stellar recommendations for what to do in the area. 10 stars if I could give them!”

About: I am a stay at home mom with the time to care for your pup as well as mine. Our kids and dog love to play with other dogs. We often take walks in the neighborhood and play fetch in the backyard. I'd be happy to have your dog join us! There is a good amount of lounging on the couch as well! My schedule is flexible and I can accommodate your pups needs. My kids are in middle and high school so we work around the school district schedule. I have a fenced yard in a great neighborhood. My pup will keep your pup entertained. I can crate your dog if needed during the day or at night.

About: I’ve had pets all my life including dogs and cats, I love animals, and I enjoy spending time with them. I grew up in a farm, and I’ve watched many family friends pets I’m currently working part time, but I’m able to maneuver my schedule very easily. I typically work Monday and Tuesday from 12 to 9 I have lots of room for pets to roam both inside and outside, lots of toys to play with and get all that energy out

“So far we've had 1 Daycare visit before we do 4 nights, and it went great! I was very impressed with the communication I received. My dog was so tired when she got home, so I know she had lots of fun! Looking forward to bringing her back!”

About: I was raised on a ranch in Southern Colorado and have been caring for animals on a daily basis for most of my life! I have turned my passion for animals into my profession and I currently work at a pet store caring for animals day in and day out. I am currently in the process of obtaining my dog training CDPT-KA certification and have a ton of experience with puppies and dogs that need some work! I am trained in safe use of training tools such as e-collars and prong collars, and always use positive reinforcement in addition to any tools. I have experience with everything from farm animals to exotic fish, and everything in between. I will happily care for reptiles (including snakes!), birds, fish and livestock and of course I adore cats and dogs! I am trained in medication administration and have experience in identifying conditions that potentially need to be seen by a vet. Everything I do is for the good of the animals and I will always treat each and every one as if it was my own. I work part-time in the mornings and am available every day after 12pm, and available all day on my days off! I will always do my best to fit appropriate visits into my schedule. While I don't care for animals in my home, I will always treat your home as if it were my own. I am respectable and will always clean up after myself and the animals in my care - even the grossest of animal messes are not an obstacle for me. I am comfortable crating dogs, or making sure there are no potential dangers for a free roam dog to get into trouble with. Fresh water and food will always be provided during my drop-in visits (in alignment with feeding schedules, of course) and I will always make sure they potty on walks and during drop-ins, even if I have to stay a little extra to make sure 😊

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10, I have watched all sorts of dogs, from family to friends to coworkers, and neighbors even:) I’m currently working for a second job but I always make sure that my animal care come first, I try to reason with my clients if change happens. I always try to make sure my dogs and cats stay occupied with toys and treats and walks making sure that they are always fed 2 time a day
“Apollo had a great time with Lori and Tucker! Tucker was the perfect friend for Apollo. Lori was great at listening to Apollo’s needs and working with me to fit my schedule.”

“Ashley was very flexible when my schedule changed. This was a last minute booking and she included Kohana without hesitation! My baby had a wonderful day with Ashley and loved all the attention!”

“Ashley was amazing and very accommodating. She woke up very early for drop off which I appreciated. Her dogs were very friendly and welcoming with my pup. Highly recommend”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
