“Whitney was awesome. We are SUPER hesitant and picky with the concept of boarding and things could not have gone better. She consistently communicated multiple times each day, with photos and videos to ease our minds and show how much fun he was having! We will ALWAYS turn to Whitney for our dog needs in the future.”

About: I have two spoiled Senior dogs and one indoor/outdoor unbothered kitty. One of our dog loves to play if yours is up for it. I work from home, your pup will have plenty of company, lots of love, and full access to our fully fenced backyard complete with doggy doors to be in and out of the house throughout the day. At night, your dog will have their own cozy kennel to sleep in, and I encourage bringing a favorite blanket or toy to help them feel comfortable at night. Your dog will also get regular walks and plenty of pat pats. Works from home, your pup will have plenty of company, lots of love, and free access to our fenced backyard and the house throughout the day. My husband and I have two spoiled senior dogs and know how important it is to find someone you trust. At night, each dog has their own cozy kennel to sleep in, and I encourage bringing a favorite blanket or toy to help them feel at home. Also, if your dog doesn’t exactly get along with other dogs, that’s okay, my dogs will go to their aunties house. I want whats best and safe.
“Asylan was a lifesaver! My plans for boarding Irvin during a vacation over New Years fell through, and she immediately got back to me. She continued to stay in communication throughout his stay, which made me feel reassured as I was many miles away. She was extremely accommodating and even came to pick Irvin up. I am very pleased with this experience, and will definitely reach out to Asylan again for Irvin's care.”

“Brooke was a great match for our dogs. She was very sweet and happy to welcome them into her family. She gave us regular updates and kept our minds at ease. She agreed to drop the dogs off at our home since we wouldn't be home until after midnight on our last night and when our door wouldn't unlock for her she took them back and watched them the rest of the night for us until we could come pick them up. She was super flexible and extra accommodating. We would definitely take our dogs back to her and recommend her to anyone, especially small dog owners.”

“James is kind and considerate. His space is designed for dogs and you can tell he has a gift with animals. We are repeat customers and will continue to be! Highly recommend James.”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for pets throughout my life, including cats growing up and currently two dogs of my own. I’m very familiar with daily care routines such as feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and behavior monitoring. I enjoy being active with dogs through walks and play, whether that’s structured walks, backyard play, or just giving them attention and enrichment so they stay happy and stimulated. I understand that every pet has different energy levels and needs, and I adjust care accordingly. I’m also comfortable with basic pet care needs, including administering oral medications and supporting pets with special routines or recovery needs, as long as it falls within standard, non-veterinary care guidelines. I’m very detail-oriented and always follow instructions closely to make sure pets stay safe, comfortable, and on schedule. Overall, I’m confident with both dogs and cats of all temperaments and prioritize calm, consistent, and reliable care so pets feel secure while their owners are away. I already care for my doggos at home regularly so it is a natural part of my daily routine. I work mon- Thursday so I'm free friday- Sunday afternoon o care for your animals Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is always keeping them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine as much as possible. In my home, pets will have a calm, clean environment with supervision and plenty of attention. I maintain a structured routine with feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I also have two friendly dogs, so visiting pets will be in a real home setting with normal household activity, and I always make sure introductions and space are managed safely. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions exactly as provided, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, litter box care, and any special routines. I’m respectful of the home, keep things tidy, and make sure pets feel secure and not disrupted while their owners are away. In both settings, I pay close attention to behavior and health changes and communicate updates so owners always know how their pets are doing.
“Daniel was friendly, helpful, flexible, and communicated with us promptly & sent lots of pics. Our dog had a great stay & must have felt safe, happy, and loved because he ate well. (Our pup will go off his feed when feeling out of sorts). Plenty of room for fun play inside the house and in the fenced backyard. We will definitely use Daniel for our Rover next time we are in the area.”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10, I have watched all sorts of dogs, from family to friends to coworkers, and neighbors even:) I’m currently working for a second job but I always make sure that my animal care come first, I try to reason with my clients if change happens. I always try to make sure my dogs and cats stay occupied with toys and treats and walks making sure that they are always fed 2 time a day
“Angela was absolutely amazing with Miss Harley! She did a wonderful job in communicating with me while I was out of town, she sent great photos of my dog enjoying her space and the other pups. Highly recommend!”

“I am so grateful and pleased with the care my pups received from Katelyn!!! I had a last minute hunting trip that my dogs could not be a part of, and Katelyn answered me quickly, arranged boarding and my 2 dogs quickly became part of her little dog pack! Katelyn’s property is perfect for watching dogs, off the road, large grass flats in front and around her home, with a large fence in the back, all surrounded by grasslands and farms! A pup parent’s paradise! Katelyn sent me pics throughout the stay and her dogs meshed super well with my dogs! We are already discussing our next trip and will definitely be booking Katelyn again!”

“Taylor was such a perfect fit for our 13 year old Labrador Ruby. Ruby's needs for one on one attention were clearly met and probably exceeded as she was so happy and content in Taylor's home. I will definitely hire Taylor next time we need a special someone to take care of our sweet old girl.”

“Emily, met with Tala and I the first time, and I could tell right away that she would be a good fit with Tala. Emily asked great questions about Tala and heard what I was saying about Tala's likes and dislikes, what i fed her, what Tala was apprehensive about. While i was gone Emily was great about photos and keeping me posted on how Tala was doing. I was missing my puppy but I knew she was in good hands while i was gone.”
“Kate has been great with our pup. We’ve used her multiple times and always receive our pictures and good communication. Definitely recommend using her for your pup services.”

About: I am a stay at home mom with the time to care for your pup as well as mine. Our kids and dog love to play with other dogs. We often take walks in the neighborhood and play fetch in the backyard. I'd be happy to have your dog join us! There is a good amount of lounging on the couch as well! My schedule is flexible and I can accommodate your pups needs. My kids are in middle and high school so we work around the school district schedule. I have a fenced yard in a great neighborhood. My pup will keep your pup entertained. I can crate your dog if needed during the day or at night.
About: I have taken care of dogs every day since I was born. I currently have two dogs of my own, a pug and a lab. I also have experience taking care of fish, amphibians, and reptiles. Previously, I have been trusted by neighbors, friends, and family to dog-sit over night or during the day. I have no allergies and am experienced with taking care of pets with medical problems. I am currently a DII student athlete. Not only do I have to undergo a surgery this summer making me unable to work a regular 9-5 job, I also have a large amount of training I need to complete. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine as I am flexible with my training. Caring for pets in my clients home will be exactly like caring for my own pets in my own home. Every pet deserves love, attention, and a safe environment. On top of this, every homeowner deserves respect regarding their animals and their home. Although I may be a guest, I will treat each aspect of my stay with respect and make every pet as happy as can be! I am currently in one summer school class while training for my commercial pilots license. As a result, I travel to the airport 3-4 times a week for 3 hours at a time. When I am not flying I have plenty of time to take care of your fur babies! I will always care for pets like they are my own family. Every pet will receive my full attention. I will also follow every owner instruction carefully!
“I truly felt so safe leaving my little dog in Summer’s care! Her home is dog proofed, the doggos have access to a clean and grassy backyard 24/7, and her dog Ollie is a sweetheart who my dog got along with! She was able to give him his medications and sent me updates daily. In other words, she took incredible care of my baby and I’d recommend her again and again!”

“Ashley was very good with our 5-month-old rescue puppy on his first pet boarding experience. She sent text updates and videos of him interacting with other dogs and was attentive to his anxiety on the first day. He ended up playing with another puppy and slept through the night both days. Ashley has a great set up for taking care of dogs. I would definitely use her again!”

“How many characters do I have?? Surely not enough. Without my list of super-duper, over-the-top, excellent adjectives handy, I will settle for quoting Tina Turner and say that Katie “is simply the best! Better than all the rest!…”. Katie and her husband and her dogs took such incredibly excellent care of Mesquite that I can’t say enough good things about them. I would go out of my way every time to have Katie care for my dog. She cares about my dog as much as I care about her! Katie sent me daily updates and pictures, sometimes more than daily. It was so clear that Katie made my rescue dog with issues feel safe and comfortable. I did not worry about my dog one bit while she was in Katie’s care. Yes, Katie is something like 9 or 10 miles outside Grand Junction, a beautiful drive by the way, but the drive is so very worth the excellent care available at the end of it!! I will always take my dog to Katie and do not hesitate to recommend her to anyone reading this. She gets a ten-star review out of a possible five star max from me!! Simply the best. You have found the care you need for your dog and can enjoy your time away like I did. Thank you so much Katie!!!!!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
