“Lauren did an excellent job caring for our dogs while we were out of town! She communicated really well during the visits and we will definitely be reaching out to her in the future.”

“Patricia is an excellent communicator and very dependable. She was very kind and loving to our pups. She played frisbee with our very energetic Border Collies, took them for walks, and on a day when it was too hot for frisbee, she spent time playing with them indoors. The younger pup was having a difficult time with his first-ever overnight without his people. She gave him extra loving care. I would highly recommend Patricia.”

“We greatly appreciated Robin's attentive care of our two cats, one of which can be quite a handful. She made sure both of them got the love and attention they needed, for a first-time and fairly last minute booking. We could not be more grateful for her flexibility!”

“Annabelle has been great with our skittish cat, Ekko. She’s very patient and kind and makes sure to go at Ekko’s pace. Ekko has started coming out of her shell around Annabelle which is great and makes me feel comfortable leaving Ekko in her care.”

“Jordan was absolutely incredible with our babies and they loved her as well! She sent multiple photos and updates with every visit and we felt very safe leaving our home and them in her hands. She was wonderful and patient with our dog, who can be quite anxious, and even dedicated additional time before our trip to make sure that he was comfortable with her. We would absolutely recommend her and thank you again for everything!”

About: I've been caring for animals for my whole life, I've always had pets, and have been a walker on apps for 6+ years. I'm always willing to sit, board or walk. I volunteer with a small nonprofit that provides service dogs to disabled veterans and hope I can positively impact you and your pets. I currently volunteer, and work part-time with flexibility, so I can frequently pick-up/drop-off or check-in on your pets. My home is pet friendly with two cats. I do currently serve in the Navy reserves, so I travel to Denver once a month for a couple days, but I always know my schedule ahead of time. I have two cats who are comfortable around dogs, live in a two bedroom apartment, with close access to a grassy area and some local parks.

“Catherine was excellent! We love her and so does Kitty. We told Catherine she'd likely never see Kitty when she did her drop in visits for feeding, but Kitty greeted her every day, a sign that Kitty really liked her! Thanks again for everything.”

“Shelby took great care of our cat who needs some extra attention, including daily medication and has a bit of separation anxiety. We appreciated the photos she sent and comments about how he was doing while we were away. We highly recommend Shelby and look forward to booking her again in the future.”

“Cecily did great with Binx! It was the longest I’ve ever been away from the little guy, and she sat and played with him to keep him company while I was away. Highly recommended her to watch your fur babies!”

“Thank you so much! Debra did a lovely job watching my boy while I was on a work trip. I know that he was happy to have her there and I was glad to have peace of mind while gone”

“Kasse is always on time with giving all the love to my furry alligator. She is very professional, while still having fun with a job that should be fun. Second time using her services and will be returning”

About: As an animal lover, I've grown up with cats, dogs, fish, and reptiles. I'm quiet and gentle with every pet I meet, and have an eye for detail and commitment to routine. I currently teach part-time at CMU on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-6, and am available most mornings and evenings outside of that for any pet needs. I'm usually up around 6:30am for a walk, so early morning routines and dog walking are welcome. My 2 cats are spoiled but healthy and well behaved. They've got several bowls of water, and are fed 3 times a day, and have plenty of space to lounge, perch, and play - including a cat wheel for zoomies. I've got a crested gecko and 3 frogs as well, in bioactive terrariums with automated lights and misting systems for reliable humidity. In terms of treatment, I'm very gentle and want the best for every pet - a calm demeanor helps when trimming nails or giving meds, and playing with toys instead of hands builds safe habits. While I might be new to you and your pet's life, I'm great about maintaining routine and comfort so that I cause as minimal stress as possible.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Whitewater
Lauren has been an excellent cat sitter. Super responsive via rover chat and very attentive to my written list of cat needs. She even offered to split a 1 hour visit into two 30-min visits when she sensed my nervousness about leaving my cats for so long. She has been great about keeping me updated and sending pics. I feel very comfortable with my pets in her care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitewater. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
