“We greatly appreciated Robin's attentive care of our two cats, one of which can be quite a handful. She made sure both of them got the love and attention they needed, for a first-time and fairly last minute booking. We could not be more grateful for her flexibility!”

“My dogs took to Tyler immediately and he’s great with them. You can tell he’s a dog person. Great communication - we get a Rover card after every visit and he’s always quick to answer a question or concern.”
“Deborah did an awesome job checking in on my cat, Willow, over the weekend. She communicated very well throughout the weekend and was very patient and kind with my cat due to her being a little shy. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again in the future!”

“Lauren did an excellent job caring for our dogs while we were out of town! She communicated really well during the visits and we will definitely be reaching out to her in the future.”

“Ariel took this job at literally the last second for us and she did an amazing job with our fur babies. She was very communicative, kept our pup active, and took time to reassure us that the cat wouldn't get out! I will go to her first if I need someone to take care of our kiddos again. Thank you Ariel!”

“Eleshia did a great job watching over my cat for the weekend! Good communication throughout and even brought in some packages for me! We’ll definitely use her again”

“Annabelle has been great with our skittish cat, Ekko. She’s very patient and kind and makes sure to go at Ekko’s pace. Ekko has started coming out of her shell around Annabelle which is great and makes me feel comfortable leaving Ekko in her care.”

“Brooke did a really great group of visits with Lacy while I was away. She was here on time and did a great job getting Lacy out. I'll be sure to look for her again on my next time away. Thanks Brooke.”

About: I have been housesitting since I was a teenager. I am in my late twenties now and have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 reptiles at my own house! I am a high school teacher and have a lot of free time in the summer. I have experience caring for both senior dogs, puppies, and cats and am comfortable administering medications. I have given insulation shots to animals and have assisted with elderly dog routines. I am a teacher; so I am available very frequently in the summer and on the weekends, but have less time during the school year. I can care for your pet in their own space where they are already comfortable. I am happy to continue the routine you already have going with your animal. If you have them sleep in your bed, I am happy to do that. If you let them out to potty at 3 am, I’m there. Your pets are my pets while you are away! I also am very communicative and will let you know if there are any concerns and love to send photo updates of your animals!
“Jordan did a wonderful job with our two cats and was very attentive to each of their individual needs. We appreciated the photos and updates each day we were gone. She was very communicative and professional. We highly recommend Jordan for your sitting needs!”

About: I am a lifetime animal lover with experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I have pet-sit for friends and family for 15 years and have always been known to be someone they can trust to take care of their animals. I currently have a senior dog so I know the extra care that goes into taking care of older dogs, but he was high energy for most of his life so I am accustomed to keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated as needed to keep them happy. Rover is my full time job so my full attention will be taking care of your pup. Whatever their needs, I can meet them! I will typically schedule visits, walks, and playtime between the hours of 7am and 5pm but can adjust based on the needs of your pet. If they need to be let out right before bed, need medication at specific hours, or anything else, we can make it work! I will care for your pup just like they're my own, completely tailoring my visit to whatever makes them happiest; whether you have a high energy dog who loves endless belly rubs and playtime or they’re shy and just want a quiet buddy to sit with them. I also treat your home with total respect, keeping their exact feeding, walking, and house routines on track so they stay stress-free while you're away. If wanted, I will make sure to send regular pictures and updates so you can rest assured that your dog is being well cared for.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Clifton
Again Kaelyn went above and beyond the call of duty. I knew I would be away on "trash day" but didn't want to burden her with it. Today I discovered my trash toter was empty, so she took the initiative on her own to haul it out in the morning and back in the evening. She's great and my cat, Rudy, loves her visits.
I have used Kaelyn several times for drop in visits with my cat. She always does an excellent job and keeps me informed. This last time she informed me of a medical issue and offered to take him to a vet. I declined her offer but scheduled an appointment for him the day I returned. Very attentive sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clifton. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
