“Like many others, I am an anxious dog mom and can be a bit nervous trusting new people to take care of my girl, Jagger. She’s a sensitive soul, and I’ve had a few bad experiences in the past. However, I’m so happy to say that Dan exceeded expectations with my pup! I took her to his home for a day of daycare, and she had the best time. Dan has a nice home and spacious backyard, which is great for my dog since she’s a big girl and enjoys sniffing, running around and basking in sun like a lizard. He has two dogs of his own, which was a huge bonus for her since she loves making new friends. She loved Dan from the moment they met and loved him just as much (maybe even more!) when I picked her up. Seeing how she acts around caretakers is a huge indicator for me about how comfortable she is and how well she’s being taken care of while I’m away. Dan gets 10/10 stars for this. Even when I came to pick her up, she was still running over the Dan for pets and lovins! She was happy to see me and ready to go home but not in a “please get me out of here” way that I’ve experienced before with other daycares and caretakers. What’s more, whenever I reached out to check on how things were going, Dan responded to me in a timely manner. It was also extremely comforting to know that Dan has such an extensive background in animal care/welfare. It reassured me that he knows what to do if something is wrong with my pup. Overall, I’m really happy with Dan and how he cared for my sweet girl! I’m so excited to have found a good fit for my dog!”

Losing her was difficult, as she was with us through the most trying times- after my son's father passed away suddenly. We take dogs to walk in grassy parks when the pavement is too hot. We live in a townhouse that has a fenced back yard that we share with two other rentals; we're a triplex. There is only one other dog in the community that is dog/human/kid friendly - although my neighbor and I typically peek out before letting the dogs loose so they have the yard to themselves. My back yard faces an open field on the edge of town, providing an incredibly safe, tucked away, and quiet neighborhood. My son is a loving child who displays love and sympathy for dogs. He loves to help, play, feed, give treats, and help walk them when the dog & him are appropriately matched. We've been operating for 4 years now and have taken care of homes, bunnies, chickens, dogs, goats, cats, and are willing to help with other house sitting duties such as picking up packages, mail, and watering gardens & plants. About: I've been caring for animals for my whole life, I've always had pets, and have been a walker on apps for 6+ years. I'm always willing to sit, board or walk. I volunteer with a small nonprofit that provides service dogs to disabled veterans and hope I can positively impact you and your pets. I currently volunteer, and work part-time with flexibility, so I can frequently pick-up/drop-off or check-in on your pets. My home is pet friendly with two cats. I do currently serve in the Navy reserves, so I travel to Denver once a month for a couple days, but I always know my schedule ahead of time. I have two cats who are comfortable around dogs, live in a two bedroom apartment, with close access to a grassy area and some local parks.
