“Sharon was awesome! She made sure Opal was comfortable during the day and took her on plenty of walks. When I came to pick her up she told me how her day was and gave me some tips for working on training with her.”

“Julia is AMAZING!!! We have boarded our dogs with her, as well as dropped them off for doggy daycare. She has a clean, secure yard and we never worried about our dogs getting out. She communicates frequently and sends photos of the pups playing. Our dog Echo loves Julia's dog Abby and gets so excited to see her! I also appreciate that Julia does a meet and greet with any new animal to make sure everyone is comfortable! 10/10 would recommend!!!”

“Phebe was awesome! Very communicative and professional. She spoke our dog, Sage’s, love language- treats😊 and sent a bunch of photos which we love! She also helped Sage relax with lavender oil on her nose as she is an anxious dog. Such a sweet thing to do! Appreciate the love and care, thank you!”

“We were so happy to have Clover stay with Daniel last minute. He did a great job communicating and had an organized process for letting the dogs meet and get used to each other. I can tell she's had fun. We'll definitely call him next time we're in town.”

About: During my time as a K9 Military Police Officer in the Army I was responsible for 24 hour care for our canine partners. I use that professional training to provide expert care to family pets both in my home or in my spacious indoor kennel options. I aim to provide peace of mind for the owner and a vacation for the pet. I have experience with all ages of dogs/cats from newborns to senior requiring specific timely routines and cares. I ask that the owner provide the preferred food to prevent any stomach issues, but we of course clean any accidents without cost to the owner. Our property is completely fenced, and we offer both a traditional front yard as well as an open one acre pasture to fully run out their energy. We provide some basic toys and treats, but are happy to keep with your play routines if you bring on over your pet's preferred toys. If your companion prefers walking to free play we are happy to accommodate daily with no additional cost. We also take pictures and sometimes videos during your pet's stay so you can have the peace of mind knowing they're having a great time. I operate a dog boarding and training business from home full time so your companion will only be home alone (secured in a run, suite, or kennel) for short periods of time due to normal errand runs. We offer round the clock care including overnights should your companion need extra care at no additional cost. If you live within 30 miles of us we will pick up your companion at no additional cost. We ask owners provide enough time to properly convey their unique needs including routines, update requests, pet comforts, etc. We have secure separate spaces both within the home itself as well as the indoor kennel option and the two fenced yards.
“Eleshia was everything we could hope for and more! She took great care of our small dog, was flexible on timing, and offered up stellar recommendations for what to do in the area. 10 stars if I could give them!”

“Apollo had a great time with Lori and Tucker! Tucker was the perfect friend for Apollo. Lori was great at listening to Apollo’s needs and working with me to fit my schedule.”

About: I’ve always had a pet of my own until early 2026 when my senior dog had passed, however I do have a history of working at a veterinary hospital. I understand that every animal has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, so I take the time to learn what makes each pet feel safe and happy. I’m dependable, responsible, and attentive to details. My goal is not only to care for pets while their owners are away, but to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and treated like family. I’m currently working part-time and looking for the opportunity to still stay active and enjoy my free time. I have a very open schedule and I’m committed to following each owner’s instructions and making sure their pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while they are away. The safety and well-being of every pet in my care is my top priority. I believe trust is built through reliability, communication, and treating each pet with patience and respect. I provide a calm, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel secure and maintain their normal routines. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, pay attention to each pet’s individual needs, and keep owners updated so they can have peace of mind while they’re away.

“So far we've had 1 Daycare visit before we do 4 nights, and it went great! I was very impressed with the communication I received. My dog was so tired when she got home, so I know she had lots of fun! Looking forward to bringing her back!”

“Our first time using Rover….. and we loved Catherine! She was great with communication leading up to the visit and was prompt with picking up and delivering our Olive. She’s had some other small dogs that Olive played with throughout the day, and she was delivered back happy and exhausted. We are tent camping and she took her self to bed way before the night was over! We will definitely be using Catherine again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Suzanne and Dan are wonderful people. I had no hesitation in leaving Bella with them. They immediately made Bella and I feel comfortable in their home during our meet and greet and then when we returned for Bella's first stay. Bella was so relaxed and cuddly when I picked her up at the end of the day. I know she had been relaxed during her stay and well cared for. It's such a blessing to find someone I feel confident will take good care of my baby. I'm very grateful to have found Suzanne and Dan!”
“Ashley took a great care of Bolt while I was attending a concert in Grand Junction! He got along with the kids and their dog Molly pretty well, and they played a lot in the yard. Ashley made sure they're fed separately as I requested, and provided regular updates with photos. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.”

“Katie is AWESOME!! Her property is outside of town and off the beaten path - which makes it an ideal spot for dogs to spread out and explore. Katie is excellent at communication before, during and after your booking. She offers fantastic pics of your pet’s adventures during their stay and she truly cares for your dogs like they are her own. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“Paulette and Charlie were wonderful hosts and were very attentive. They have plenty of room for dogs to run in their very large backyard. Our Bode and their dog Molly hit it off instantly and played well together. Bode had a great time. We’re already planning our next trip(s) to the western slope. We’ll definitely be booking with Paulette and Charlie again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Orchard Mesa
What a great service, Ricky was a pleasure to have watch my pup. He was sending me pictures of where the dog will sleep and during the stay. I had a great piece of mind cause my dog has some separation anxiety, but Ricky was patient and helped ease Bobby with lots of walks to the dog parks in the area. Over all Ricky was a pleasure to work with and my dog had a paw-some time. Would definitely book again in the future!!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
