About: As a career animal welfare professional, I'm ready to bring my decades of experience in animal care, veterinary care and animal handling to you and your home to ensure you have total peace of mind and your pets are cared for and safe while you're away. My entire professional career has been in the animal welfare field. I've worked as a cruelty investigator in both major metropolitan as well as rural agricultural regions. I've worked on farm animal sanctuaries as well as in city shelters. I'm still very involved in animal rescue through disaster response as well as large scale animal cruelty case deployments. Currently, I work for/co-founded an organization which provides low-cost veterinary care services to underserved areas in the region. As someone who utilizes Rover heavily for pet sitting services while traveling for work, I know just how important it is to have a service like this available as well as what a trusting, reliable sitter can do for peace of mind while out of town and away from you pets. I currently work from home (when not traveling for work) which allows me to devote full days to pet care while sitting nearby in my home office. I have a large, fully fenced yard. Your dogs will be able to spend as much, or as little, time outside as they desire. I have two resident dogs who are very welcoming of all four-legged (and two-legged) visitors and will be more than happy to share all their favorite toys and most comfortable spots on the couch.
About: I’m on a massive mission over the coming months! I’m working every extra hour I can to fund a dream trip to explore the UK. To get there, I’m bringing my 20+ years of pet care experience to your front door.I’ve spent my life caring for cats and dogs, including high-energy breeds like Huskies and Labrador Retrievers. I know that while I’m planning my upcoming travels, your absolute priority is your pet’s safety and routine. I specialize in keeping pets calm, exercised, and consistent while you’re away. By booking with me, you aren't just getting a sitter with decades of hands-on experience—you’re helping me reach a lifelong travel goal! Because I work gig-based security and freelance jobs, I have a unique kind of flexibility that most 9-to-5ers don't! I meticulously plan my schedule in advance, which means when I commit to your pet, they have my undivided attention. I’m not rushing off to an office; I’m there because I want to be. I’m organized, reliable, and dedicated to keeping your pet’s routine consistent—all while I hustle toward my goal of seeing the Sugababes in Wales this July! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. I follow feeding instructions carefully, make sure water is always fresh, and handle litter box or potty breaks consistently. I also spend time giving attention and comfort based on each pet’s personality—whether that’s playtime, walks, or simply being nearby so they feel safe. I always respect the client’s home and keep things clean and organized.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. For the last 15 years, I’ve owned very high energy hunting dogs, and love being able to take them on long walks, hiking in the mountains, or just play ball in the back yard. I’ll help with any kind of training/socialization a puppy or dog might need, you just have to let me know if there are behaviors you need help working on. I’m happy to drop in to check on dogs and cats of any size. If I can help out by taking a pup for a wash or anything extra like that, just ask. Willing to help transport, can come feed and medicate, as well as hang out and play for a while. I do have my own pups, and so I cannot do overnight stays at this time. Weekdays, I am only available after 6pm! I just moved back to the Grand Junction area and am working at settling into life back in the valley. I’d love to help you out with your animals! My pups are my family, they go every where with me (unless it’s to someone else’s house, of course). They get daily off leash runs in the north desert or at the family farm in Fruita. I’m not offering boarding at this time because of my own pups and lack of space.
About: Dogs are an infinite source of unconditional love - I treat them with the kindness and respect they deserve. Rest assured your animals will be my top priority. I've currently got an open schedule, so feel free to reach out in a pinch and be confident your animals will be my top priority. A home becomes your personal castle - I'll take care to treat it as if it were my own. This applies to your pets as well!
“Angels was great with Coco, our dog and Reese’s and Dancer, our cats. Coco is anxious with new people, and Angela won her over. It was great using Rover and now we know that we can plan trips without worrying about who will watch our pets. Thank you Angela and River!”
“We are very happy to have found Christine. Our cat is super shy with strangers and usually hides from them but he actually showed up and said hi to her within the first meeting. He was as affectionate with her as he is to us. She maintained our cat’s health and emotions. She perfectly excuted things we asked for and kept us updated with photos and videos of our cat every day. She even helped us with other things like watering plants and picking up mail. I can say she is special and a cat whisperer. Maybe Jackson Galaxy level of mastermind. I’m sure she is good with dogs as well. She will be our regular cat sitter. Highly recommended.”
About: I have help out my friends and family for many years with their pets. I have taken care of many puppies and kittens including my own. I am a college student at Colorado Mesa University. I am free to do drop-ins and walks aro my class schedule. During the summer I am free during the day time. I love playing with animals, my dogs like to play hide and seek so it really makes them work their brain as to where I am. I like to follow the route the owners have with the pet so it doesn't stress the animal out if possible.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets for a while now, and am more than happy to play, snuggle, run, and care for yours as well. I work part time only on weekdays so I am available to play with your animals most of the time. I can’t wait to spend time with them. I get up early in the morning to let pets outside while I fill up their bowls for food and water. I cuddle and play with them all day. I love to make them feel loved.
Orchard Mesa dog parents share their Rover experiences
Abby took the most excellent care of our 2 dogs! We had to go out of town on short notice, and we'd never left our dogs before. She made us feel so comfortable knowing they would get all the love and attention they thrive on. She had awesome input to make them as comfortable as possible. 100% recommended!
Emma is AMAZING! She seriously took the best care of our pups while we were away and made sure to keep us updated. Her flexibility and adaptability to changing plans was the best as sometimes things can change around last minute for us. She also is just a sweetheart. Could not recommend her enough!
