“Paulette and Charlie were wonderful hosts and were very attentive. They have plenty of room for dogs to run in their very large backyard. Our Bode and their dog Molly hit it off instantly and played well together. Bode had a great time. We’re already planning our next trip(s) to the western slope. We’ll definitely be booking with Paulette and Charlie again!”

“Jennifer was wonderful with our dog. She was knowledgeable about dogs and knew what to do to keep our dog exercised and relaxed. Smokey had a great time, and we had no worries leaving our dog with her!”

About: I only take one or two clients at a time which gives me the ability to take them hiking and on walks in public spaces. Your dogs are a part of our family and home. I provide air tags for their time here so you can track them. Photos and videos provided daily. I am recently retired and available to give your dog(s) a lot of love and attention. I walk and hike daily and can exercise your pet to your liking. I have a 6 ft fence for the back yard. I also have an indoor/outdoor dog run and crates depending on your needs. I have two senior “host” dogs of our own. I put AirTags on guest dogs for additional security. I also share the AirTags with clients so they can enjoy tracking their dogs.
About: Hello! My name is Hanna and I was raised here in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I grew up with two wonderful dogs, who I would spend most of my free time hiking, swimming, and mountain bike riding with. I lived in NYC for 8 years which is where I went to college and met my husband. Last year we made the move back home to Paonia where we now have a wonderful house and live with our 6 year old yellow lab named Blue. As a family we love to be outside, whether it's hiking, being at home in the garden, walking the river, or riding bikes. Blue is a very mellow dog who gets along with every dog he meets. He loves playing fetch and swimming so you can often find us out at the river or at the park. Both my husband and I work from home with flexible schedules so will be around and present for your pet. Overall I'm a naturally energetic person who would love to bring my energy and excitement to your pet's life! I work from home and set my own schedule so it's flexible throughout the day allowing me to take walks and be outside whenever I like. Every day I take two, hour long walks - one in the late morning and one the early evening with my dog. Throughout the day we're also outside in the yard where there's grass. I own the home I live in which is right in downtown Paonia. There's a fenced yard with grass and room to play. We're walking distance to 2 parks, as well as the walking path along the river.
About: I’ve been taking care of my dogs for over 20 years and now in addition to the family cat and snakes. We are ready to host your dog for a fun visit. As a stay-at-home dad I’m around the majority of the day to keep a good eye on your loved ones. They will be well catered for and loved until you come back to get them! I have a big fenced backyard for them run around and play in. We have a friendly dog (& cat) to keep them extra company during their stay.
“Haley took care of my 1yr old German Shorthaired Pointer so we could enjoy some time at the hot springs in Ouray. Anyone who knows the temperament of this breed knows it takes patience and energy to care for them. She was great I felt very comfortable leaving her with Haley and her family they gave our dog great care and a fun stay. Highly recommend!”

“Laura was great! She was easy going and had a chill energy meeting our doggos and sent frequent updates throughout their stay. Our dogs were happy and tuckered after the day ❤️ 🐶”

About: I am as loving and loyal as your best friend. Please consider me for your walking, drop-in, and house-sitting needs! What sets me apart from other sitters? 1. Experience as a Pet Owner I've been around pets my entire life, so I'm well versed in all of the good, the bad, and the smelly parts of animal care. Apart from caring for our family pets growing up, I am overjoyed to have spent the last 10 years loving & caring for my adorable Border Collie mix, Cedar (Rest in Peace 2/14/25 <3). 2. Personalized Attention and Care for Special Needs Animals As someone who previously owned an animal with special needs, I know how difficult it can be to trust a caretaker with things such as medication administration. I can cater to animals of any age and lifestyle. This includes those that require special attention and routines, such as dietary restrictions, exercise requirements, and reactive-dog friendly activities. I can also accommodate animals of all shapes and sizes! This includes XL dog breeds, whom I have a very special place in my heart for. Life is a lot quieter recently without a pet companion in my life, so I'm here to not only assist you, but also get back to what I doing enjoy the most: spending time with animals! I'm a stay-at-home partner, which means that I have a ton of flexibility! I'm available for pet services every day of the week, including weekends. I will follow the same protocols, needs, and routines that you have for your home and animals while walking, dropping in, and housesitting. This includes any pre-determined feeding, walking, and playtime schedules that you may have.
About: I am a dog lover with two dogs of my own. I work from home and have flexibility in my schedule to be able to visit during the day, or can have your dog at my house if they love to socialize! I have experience with high energy and dogs that require a lot of affection/attention. We have 52 acres and will take them on adventures if they like that, otherwise have a 1 story home that is comfortable and welcoming to dogs of all ages! I work full time but work from home, so have some flexibility in my schedule to do home visits during the day, and can do up to 4 visits a day if needed. I also am able to have your dog at my house, where they will have 50 acres for play time and walks! I live in a pretty secluded spot with two fur babies to keep your dog company. We have 50 acres where your dog will always be supervised, but can run and play and get all the exercise he/she needs. There is hardly any traffic at all on our private road. Our house is one level for any senior or disabled dogs who can’t handle stairs well.
About: I worked at a local shelter so I have knowledge in caring for fur babies. I have had animals my whole life. Lots of Love I work in the morning so my afternoons are free for a walk, some love & care, brushing them as well. I love to hike with them. I have a fenced yard & 18 acres to hike with them. Specific meal times & supplements if necessary. They get brushed everyday, clean eyes.
