About: I started dog walking and doing cat play dates out of high school 11 years ago and loved it! I grew up with two large dogs and two cats in Portland, Oregon. Calm or animated, tall and long, short and stout, I take care of dogs & cats with all types of personalities, needs, and routines. I know dog & cat first aid through the American Red Cross and will go above and beyond to be a steward of your space. I study critical theory around the subjects of visual culture and land use at Portland State University online, so my schedule is open and adaptable to yours. My availability is completely open. I'm currently a student online, so I can adapt my schedule around whichever days and times you need help. I'm a patient, soft-spoken caretaker that allows a new fur friend to get to know me first. I'll walk the greenest routes in the area and cross the streets at the safest points. I walk at a steady pace and can check in with you and your pet during the walk or pet sit. We can play games or lounge around if that's more their style. I'll tend to your pet's grooming, diet, activity, and behavior specificities as well as any household tasks that accompany the visit.

About: I’ve always had pets of my own and have been caring for animals for family, friends, and neighbors for as long as I can remember. I’m experienced with kittens, adult pets, and senior or medically complex animals, including providing around-the-clock hospice care for my own beloved cat after his ataxia diagnosis. I currently share my home with Leon, my one-year-old cat, and Chicken, my 26+ year-old African Grey parrot—both rescues (Chicken was found abandoned and taken in) and very loved. I love caring for pets—cats, dogs, and birds of all types and sizes—and I’m happy to welcome other small animals too, just let me know! I treat every pet with patience, attention, and affection, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. I work from home and my schedule is flexible. My goal is always to schedule any services based on the needs of you and your pet(s). I will always follow any instructions on how you prefer your pet to be cared for. Otherwise, I will always care for them in the safest and healthiest way available. The same way I care for my own pets. Leon is an indoor kitty with unlimited access to fresh air and sunshine from his lounging cots attached to our large windows. He loves his wet food, and his meals are on a “flexible” schedule, and no all day grazing. He receives lots of playtime with his humans and more independently. Of course, he gets brushed, not always with a happy purr, but he gets as much as he will tolerate.

I am currently a stay at home mom so my days are flexible. ***Note regarding SITTING Services: I am typically unable to stay overnight in your home. However, this does not prevent me from providing high quality, attentive care. I guarantee that I will return promptly first thing the following morning to tend to your pet’s needs. I have experience administering medication, both oral and injections. My last dog had severe health issues and food allergies that required daily shots, pills, and home cooked meals with numerous supplements. I have experience with puppies as young as six weeks old (and kittens as young as two) as well as seniors. I’m comfortable taking care of special needs animals as well. I am communicative prior and throughout service, including updates, recaps and photos. I am incredibly patient with animals and their behaviors and pride myself in making them comfortable with me. When on walks your dog’s safety is my number one priority. I always carry a doggie water bottle in case they get thirsty or it’s hot. I'm currently the pet parent of a high energy Australian Cattle Dog/Husky mix and a well-meaning Siamese mix. COVID vaccinated. I have flexible availability Sunday-Saturday for one-time and recurring services. I am available for last minute walks, drop-ins and sitting. I am excited to meet your pets! For sitting clients, I will work with you to find a schedule that works for you and your pets. I can come over as early, stay late, and spend lots of time with your pets. I pay attention to details and aim to follow all the instructions to the letter and I pride myself in being very communicate. I have experience meeting both gregarious and shy dogs. I have patience to let your pets come to me so that they feel comfortable with me in their home. Safety on walks is number one priority. This starts with secure leash/harness and includes awareness of triggers, and being conscious about the heat/cold.
