Gabrielle was a great. She came on time and walked both of my dogs for 30 minutes. I loved that she sent photos and distance details. My dogs seemed happy and tired after their walk. I will definitely be using her on a weekly basis.

About: I have over twenty years dog experience caring for 4 different dogs in my life personally, plus countless other friends and family members dogs who all love me. I work remote, so I can take my laptop anywhere and work from everywhere. Plus my job is full of fellow pet lovers who all understands whenever I had to take my own dogs to the vet for instance. I recently had to put my little buddy down :-( and would love to get to help others take care of their own doggies. In my home I have a fenced in yard. I also love to take dogs on walks and meet other doggies, assuming they’re friendly. As far as meals are concerned, all of my dogs had specialized diets, so food was kept separate and prepared accordingly.

Anna did a great job walking our dog while we were away on vacation. Despite the snow and freezing temperatures, she walked her for the full 30 minutes twice a day every day. She was very flexible when I asked her to pick the dog up at a different location and communicated a bunch of times to update me on how things were going. I highly recommend using Anna.

Lisa was great! She was very focused on learning every detail she could about Malcolm ahead of the walk, and even came to meet us before we confirmed. It was a nasty, cold rainy day and Lisa showed up on time, with a smile and ready to roll! We will definitely be seeing her again!

About: -Understands basic incentivizing principles for dogs -Good frame for lifting heavy dogs/objects if need be -Knows the petting sweet spot -Notre Dame Student with 3.9 GPA This summer, I am dedicating my time to service at the Mary Brennan INN soup kitchen, with flexible hours on the weekdays. I usually go to the gym in the morning around 8-9am, and would love to get extra steps in whenever possible (ie walking dogs)! I perform thorough inspection to ensure my client’s home is free of pet droppings and/or potential messes. I ensure the pet has eaten their appropriately measured food, and check for any potential signs of distress or illness. One of my goldendoodles passed in 2024, but was able to stay with us a little longer because I noticed her lethargy early.

About: My main service is cat boarding! I have everything for every type of cat! I have wall perches and beds for cats who like to climb, I have tons of cat safe places for a shy cat to hide, and I have probably 10 different cat trees and scratch towers, and of course an endless amount of toys! My house is also always 100% dog free! My home is basically a kitty wonderland 🐈‍⬛ ⭐️ I NEVER board or sit dogs in my own home. My house is 100% dog free 365 days of the year! I know this is very important to some cat parents! ⭐️ I’m currently not available for any dog sitting or drop in services! I mainly specialize in cat care at this current moment! I don’t have dogs in my home, so if you’re looking for a cat sitter without dogs, I’m a good pick! I have cared for dozens of cats between sitting, boarding, and fostering. I have experience with cats with all different temperaments. If your cat prefers to hide for days at a time, or bounces off the walls at 3 am, I’ve seen it all!

About: We have had many dogs throughout our life. Right now we currently have 2 small Havanese dogs - Daisy and Luna. We have two children, 15 and 13, and both dogs get along with all children and other dogs as well. We will take care of your dogs as though they are one of our own! We do take on more than one dog at a time. We have a fully fenced in yard where they love to run around and play. We live in a great neighborhood where we can go on long walks. We have two size crates should your dog require one. We look forward to spending time with your pet/s! I currently work full time as a teacher but am home by 2:30 and am able to come home during lunch breaks to let dogs out and walk them. And my husband works from home - so they always have company! My two dogs love other dogs so they will always have someone to play with. About: I’ve had numerous cats, dogs, birds and a rabbit! I love animals and the unconditional love they give in return. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your babies while you are gone and give you the piece of mind you are looking for. I’m retired and have plenty of time to play and check on your fur baby! I adore animals and will love yours as much as I love my own! Currently I am offering services in your home only as I have a high energy puppy in mine. If your dog also is high energy and wants/craves stimulation with a like minded pup, I’d be more than happy to see how they get along! My home has a fenced in yard as well as a doggie door, and my dogs go on numerous walks per day.

  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
