“This is our second time boarding our out with Jenna! She is great! Our one pup is blind and diabetic. Jenna faithfully administers his insulin twice a day! She takes care of all of Gus’s health care needs with confidence! We never have to worry. Kennels will not administer injectable meds for dogs! So we are very grateful Jenna was recommended to us by our friends! Jenna sends us updates and pictures! She has the greatest yard and our pups are so happy! Trust me Jenna is the best at caring for your pets!!!!”

“Kelsey was fantastic. She watched our 2 year old border collie mix, Mila, for 4 days and took great care of her. She sent daily pics and videos and was super communicative so we knew Mila was well cared for. Mila enjoyed socializing and playing with Kelsey's dogs, two of whom are also border collies. Kelsey does agility training with her own dogs and has a nice fenced in yard for the dogs to play in. We will definitely use Kelsey for any future dog boarding needs!”

“Barbara is excellent! She sent pics and updates daily and she spoiled my dog with several walks throughout the day! She treated him as if he was her own. She is a great communicator and very responsive. I couldn't have asked for a better first stay experience and I happily recommend Barbara!”

“Nicole and her family were amazing with our dog, Maverick. He has some separation anxiety and he did so well in their care. They will be our go-to dog sitters from this point forward.”

“This was our first time using the Rover app and it was wonderful during our crunch time of finding a sitter. Dawn was absolutely wonderful! She understands what dogs of many breeds need as I watched her care for so many. She was also very accommodating as our flight was delayed two days! She kept our wonderful dog with graciousness and made us feel at ease. No need to search for another sitter. Dawn wins!”

About: I have provided care and enrichment for a variety of animals throughout my life, from hamsters all the way up to farm animals. I have had multiple jobs in animal care, acquired a bachelor’s degree that required multiple animal-related care internships, and have personally cared for many family pets in their own homes. I'M OFFICIALLY FULL-TIME IN PERSONAL PET CARE ☺️ If a pet parent is flexible with their schedule I can fit it around my other clients! Especially for walks or drop ins. I'm going full-time on pet care for a little while I am content to go for long walks or trips to a dog park, or just lounge around the house with the occasional trip outside all depending on what your pet prefers. I will follow all instructions on their meals and any meds they may have.
“I would definitely use Caitlin again as a place to board my dog Millie! Millie took to Caitlin at our first meet and greet, and acted like she belonged there. Caitlin sent multiple pictures and updates, and was very prompt answering any question I had. Millie came home a happy and healthy dog!”

“Amber and her husband took great care of my little girl. Amber sent a picture of her and informed me of the positive interaction with her dogs. I will definitely utilize her services again in the future. Thanks so much Amber.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
