About: I am the definition of an animal lover, which I attribute to having had animals around my entire life. I grew up with Australian shepherds, German shepherds, cats, hamsters, and even tarantulas! I am extremely comfortable walking dogs, giving them medication via food, and managing when to let them out to go to the bathroom. I’m also willing to give a big furry dog a good brush if they need it! I have lived primarily with big dogs, but have had close relationships with small dogs through friends and my husband’s family whom I have dog sat for in the past. In addition, I am a massive cat lover. I was given a kitten when I was 8 years old and had her for 19 years until she just recently passed. In her senior years, she had both hypothyroidism and asthma so I am well-versed in giving cats inhalers and medication in various forms (via dropper, ear application, in treats, and in food). I am a dependable dog and cat sitter/caretaker because I know how much your animal means to you. I’m an extremely organized person so you can count on me to be reliable with pick-up, drop-off, and everything in between. Taking care of your animal would not be a job to me because I am so happy to do it! I work twice a week so I could watch an animal full time during three weekdays in addition to weekends. I am still more than willing to watch animal for an entire week and either modify my work schedule to be with them more, or just make sure they are set up for the days I am in office. I have a non-smoking home with one cat and two people including myself. My home would be an extremely relaxing environment for a pet and due to my flexible schedule, I can dedicate nearly full-time care to an animal. Since I have a cat, I would only really be able to have dogs stay overnight for a couple-day stint since I'd prefer to keep them separate. In my client's home I would offer the same care in addition to respecting the environment. I'm naturally a very clean person and always pick up after myself.

“We were thrilled with our experience with Maureen's care. We recently left our two westies with Maureen for a week. Maureen is so pleasant and a true dog lover which is very apparent when meeting her. She has a fenced back yard with plenty of room to roam. Her own two 'boys' are very good natured golden retrievers who wanted to play. Maureen's house is well situated for dog care, with plenty of room, yet able to isolate areas' with gates if helpful. I think in our case, what made our experience especially positive was receiving a daily phone text/picture from Maureen showing our westies during their day and a little note about their day. About: In addition to my own dogs, I have also owned cats of my own in the past, giving me years of firsthand experience with feline care. This personal background fits perfectly with the routine care I provide for my sister’s animals whenever she goes on vacation four times a year. I take complete charge of her four dogs—three Miniature Pomeranians and a Goldendoodle—and have even cared for their puppies in my home on two separate occasions while she was out of town. My responsibilities for her also include looking after her cats, ensuring they are properly fed, and keeping their litter boxes clean. This extensive, hands-on experience with multi-pet households, puppies, and feline care has made me highly adept at maintaining safety, routines, and a nurturing environment for animals of all ages and types. I'm pretty open as I'm a special education teacher and off in the summer. I have free time and I'm flexible. I would love to make extra money doing what I love. I care for them as I would my own children. We are all in the same area as a family. Pets are free to roam the house and I have a fenced in yard.

About: My husband I both grew up with golden retrievers and have a soft spot for them. When I was first out on my own and bought my first home, I rescued a pit bull and she was with me until she passed. My husband, sons and I are all dog lovers and would love to welcome your dog into our home. My husband is home full time and I work from home and we are anxious to care for your pet! We have 2 sons - ages 6 and 10, so kid-friendly dogs are a must. We are available any day of the week at any time, unless we have something specific planned (which is not often). Please feel free to ask about specific dates and times and I will be sure to add you to my calendar! My husband is home full time and I work from home so we have ample amounts of time to care for your pet. My 2 sons LOVE dogs and love to play and take dogs on walks. Our yard is unfenced, per our HOA rules so your pet will always be on a leash for potty breaks and walks around the neighborhood. Pets are free to explore the entire home and will not be crated or gated, unless a crate is provided and requested.

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve had the joy of raising two dogs from puppies, giving me firsthand experience with everything from potty training and basic training to the high energy and patience that young dogs require. I have been dog sitting for friends & family in Michigan & Illinois for 3 years now. In my professional life, I’m an Occupational Therapist who works with older adults. I regularly help residents safely care for and enjoy time with their beloved pets, so I’m experienced in recognizing changes in behavior, adapting to individual needs, and providing calm, attentive care. I’m also comfortable with senior dogs who may need a slower pace. Because I’m young and active, I love getting outside for walks, playtime, and adventures that help energetic dogs stay happy and engaged. Whether your pup wants a long walk, a game of fetch, or just lots of cuddles and companionship, I’ll tailor my care to their personality and routine. My goal is to treat every dog as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re safe, loved, and having a great time while you’re away! I work a normal 9-5 Monday-Friday. Therefore I prefer to do Friday afternoon-Sunday evening stays! This way I am available 24/7 for the pet. I have a fenced in yard (that is also dig proof). I currently have one very friendly dog who would be eager to any pups companion. My dog is allowed on furniture/in beds. We have a lot of sidewalks & trails within our neighborhood for walks. I have multiple security cameras.
