“Lauren and Kevin & their lil nephew were loving to Lola. I glad she was comfortable in their home with their own pets. I always worry about that because Lola is use to being the only dog in the house. Upon pick up Kevin said they really loved having her and said she was really good so I was so relieved to hear that when you are leaving your pet with new people for 7 days. Thank you again for all the love and care you provided Lola while we were away!”

“Nea’s time with Mary went so well! We will definitely book with Mary in the future. She sent pictures videos of Nea while we were away and also sent us texts everyday letting us know how she was doing. Nea came home tired from getting to play with Mary’s sweet dogs. We are grateful she had a great time. Thank you!”

“Rio stay was great he seems to be very happy with his stay. Amanda sent us photos and communicated with us the entire stay. I will be booking Rio for another stay in the near future.”

“I want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such great care of Donatello! When we adopted him we had already had a family trip planned. We were nervous to find care for him but Anthony took it on with ease! We got so many pictures and videos we felt like we knew where he was at all times and we could see he was enjoying his puppy buddy. Would highly recommend Anthony!!!”

“So kind and accommodating! Piper had a great time with Deb and Malcomb! Thank you for taking care of piper while we traveled to a family reunion out of state. Knowing that piper was in a home environment with dog lovers made us feel at ease. Deb was very good at sharing pictures and keeping us updated daily on our Miss Piper. A+ experience. Will highly recommend and will use in future. This was our very first Rover.com experience and it was good! Thank you!!”

“Andrew is amazing with my five month old puppy! He gently teaches him and provides excellent care. Jasper gets lots of play time and cuddle time. I highly recommend Andrew!”

“Cooper loved his stay with the family. He was excited to see us when we picked him up. He was relaxed and calm when we got home. Kim and family were great with Cooper and they took care of him. They Sen pictures and kept us informed. We will definitely be back. Thank you!”

About: For over 25 years, our home has never been without a dog. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Blue, this past year, and we deeply miss the daily joy and warmth a pet brings to a household. Right now, our family is in a transition period as our daughter heads off to college to play softball. Before we commit to a new pet of our own, we want to see how her game and travel schedule unfolds so we can ensure we have the proper time and dedication a permanent dog deserves. Caring for your pet gives us the wonderful opportunity to welcome that familiar canine joy back into our lives, while giving your dog a warm, experienced, and incredibly attentive "home away from home" where they will be treated like family. Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. Daily Routine & Preferences Once the workday wraps up, it’s all about the dogs—longer neighborhood walks and dedicated playtime are always on the horizon! I am incredibly comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic young pups to gentle seniors, provided they are fully house-trained.
“Bobbie is a fantastic dog sitter and we can not recommend her enough! She is kind and considerate and treats our puppy Eva as her own. Eva means the world to us and to have someone to watch her while we are away that we know she will be cared for is invaluable. We are so appreciative to Bobbie and her family for welcoming Eva into their home!”

“I love her. First time leaving my Stormi but i was comfortable that she was in good hands. Always want someone that my pup would relax with. She was really calm when I picked her up. I will book with Jalyn again.”

“Ginsberg had a great time while we were gone. Teresa made her a part of the family letting her warm up at her own pace. She loved hanging out in the huge backyard with friends and lounging on the couch watching household activities and sleeping. Highly recommend Teresa. She’s sent lots of pictures and updates so I could see Ginsberg was happy and relaxed.”

“I appreciated Dawn’s flexibility and compassionate care for my little Chico. She kept me informed of his activities and also updated me with pictures. Definitely will be rebooking with her if I need a sitter.”

“Wonderful people! I couldn’t be happier that I found them. My dog is a rescuer and doesn’t like everyone. He immediately loved them and I trust them completely. They give the love and attention pet resorts do not give. I have no interest in even trying another sitter. They are perfect.”

About: Hi! I’m Nicole. I’m a retired professional petsitter/dog walker of 10+ years and have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages. I’m comfortable giving oral medications, insulin shots, and catering to special dietary needs. I’ve been working from home recently and would love to have some dog friends to keep me company. I own my home and have a HUGE fenced in yard that is great for fetch, and dog friends are welcome on the furniture. Dogs that love to go for walks are a plus because honestly, I feel weird going for walks without one lol. Dogs must be cat friendly! I’m a homebody by nature and rarely am away from home for more than a couple of hours, if I do go out I typically will separate my cats and my dog friends as an additional safety precaution. I don’t crate dogs unless it’s a typical part of their routine. I’m unable to accommodate dogs from multiple households.
“Andrew and his partner were great! They arranged a meet and greet and asked good questions to help them best care for my pup while we were away. I got daily pictures and he looked comfortable/relaxed and happy in all of them!”

“Rachel is great with pets, she is caring, attentive and understanding. She takes them on walks and there is space to play in a big enclosed yard. We absolutely recommend her.”
About: I've had dogs all my life. We just just put our dog down after 12 years from being raised as a puppy. Our family isn't ready for a new dog yet, but we love the company! As a teacher, my summer is dedicated to being home and active! I am looking forward to a summer filled with backyard play and plenty of attention for our guest pups. Since we’ll be home the vast majority of the time, your dog will have constant companionship. While we might head out for the occasional short day trip or camp drop-off, our schedule is primarily centered around being home, making us very flexible for drop-offs, pick-ups, and mid-day belly rubs! Your pup’s safety is our top priority! We have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under constant supervision. Our home is a family environment with three kids who are taught to be gentle and respectful with animals, so we do require that any guest dogs be kid-friendly. Inside, we have stairs, so please let us know if your pup has any mobility issues or needs assistance. We are also happy to crate your dog for meals or naps if that is what they are used to at home. Since we currently have no other pets, your dog will receive 100% of our attention and love during their stay
“Ms. Beverly was awesome with everything, from when I first sent her a request about keeping my dogs ,the meet and greet, keeping me updated with videos and pictures, everything ran just so smooth with her and I didn't worry about my dogs at all and was able to enjoy my trip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
