“Elizabeth was great communicating and letting us know the status of our dog Chico. We were very please with her care and services. Looking forward to booking her again!”

“What a great experience for all! Beretta loved her stay, we went away with out worry, and Andria's family loved the interaction with our dog for a few days!! From the moment of meeting Andria's family, I could tell that this was a perfect setting and a good match to fill our needs for skipping towns for a few days. Half the battle sometimes, as a pet owner, is setting up boarding for your fur baby, and then being able to relax while your away that your dog's needs are being met! Not one time did I worry, or even consider that Beretta would have a terrible adjustment for the few days we were out of town. It was great to get the pictures daily, and the updates on how the status was on our pooch! Beretta looked like she was right at home ....only she wasn't....she was in Andria's and interacting so well with her family! If you need to be rest assured that your dog is well taking care of, having personal attention and affection giving through out the days, and being cared for with proper dietary needs and bathroom breaks, then I highly recommend Andria! Beretta, is kind of a "high" maintenance pup...(she requires a coat and shoes when going out in snowy weather....and it was snowy the whole time of her stay....) and not one squabble from Andria about accommodating getting her shoes on, or her jacket when taking her outside. Andria, thank you. Thank you for your attention to detail, the meeting up prior to the actual stay, the daily messages and updates with photos, and your gentle nature and calmness. You were the real MVP of our mini getaway, and we appreciate you taking care of Beretta immensely!”

“Alisa was great with sending photos and videos. Basil seemed happy and active while he was there. Her house is a "Happy Place" for pets with lots of dedicated space for them. We will return!”

“Paula is great. She provides a clean house, has expertise to keep order over the dogs, and has a great fenced yard. This was my first occasion boarding my beloved Bo, and was glad to be able to leave him in a place where he would get to hang with other good-natured dogs and have a yard to play for a change. Paula attended to our needs and my concerns. I wish she were closer for general "play dates", but if you are going to/from DTW, it's a very easy drop off and pick up.”

“Beverly took wonderful care of my Frenchie. She was quick to make Cookie feel right at home. Sent a lot of pictures and videos. There is always some anxiety when having someone care for your pet, but I knew within an hour my Cookie was in the right place. I would recommend Beverly to anyone who needs pet care and sitting services. So much better than a kennel. Your dog will be loved and will gets lots and lots of attention and love all day and all night.”

“As usual Mina always takes care of pur pups in the best way. Their family is always protective of our dogs and it reflects. I even think his son gets mad everytime when we pick up our dogs, which is so adorable.”

“Sydney was amazing!!! Poor Charlie got sick with 2 parasites right before his visit. He was feeling much better after a few days on medication so Sydney still was willing to take him in. She continued the rest of his treatment which consisted of multiple medications at carousing times throughout the day. She continued to provide us updates through out his stay and reassured us that he was definitely on the up and up the whole time. Her location is ideal for airport travel as she is only about 10 minutes from DTW. We will absolutely use Sydney in the future!! Thank you again!”

“Megan was the best! We received multiple daily updates of Max while away on our trip. Max had the best time, going for walks, eating doggy ice cream and even getting a bath. I definitely recommend leaving your babies with Megan!”

About: Hi! I’m Nicole. I’m a retired professional petsitter/dog walker of 10+ years and have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and ages. I’m comfortable giving oral medications, insulin shots, and catering to special dietary needs. I’ve been working from home recently and would love to have some dog friends to keep me company. I own my home and have a HUGE fenced in yard that is great for fetch, and dog friends are welcome on the furniture. Dogs that love to go for walks are a plus because honestly, I feel weird going for walks without one lol. Dogs must be cat friendly! I’m a homebody by nature and rarely am away from home for more than a couple of hours, if I do go out I typically will separate my cats and my dog friends as an additional safety precaution. I don’t crate dogs unless it’s a typical part of their routine. I’m unable to accommodate dogs from multiple households.
“We read great reviews about Nicolle and they were not wrong our mocha baby loved her and she made us feel at peace that Mocha was in good hands. Thank you to Nicole and her family”

“I am so grateful to have found Amanda. She is such a sweet person and her care of my dog was exceptional, administering meds and food at specific times. She sent photos and messages to keep me updated. I felt very confident that Carly was being cared for with the same love and concern I have for her. I will use her services again and highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for the best dog sitter in the area.”

“Catalina did an excellent job taking care of my cat. She sent us pictures and updates daily. Her communication is really impressive. She had a separate room arrangement for our cat until she was ready to meet the host’s 2 cats which I really appreciated. I would definitely book her again if I need pet sitting.”

“Irma & Daniel took great care of our dog Leo. They gave him his medication and sent us pictures and updates daily. We are so happy with their service. Thank you so much!”

“Ginsberg loves her time with Teresa’s. She enjoys spending time in the large backyard with her friends and relaxing in the house when it gets too hot outside. Teresa is our first choice sitter whenever we are out of town.”

About: For over 25 years, our home has never been without a dog. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Blue, this past year, and we deeply miss the daily joy and warmth a pet brings to a household. Right now, our family is in a transition period as our daughter heads off to college to play softball. Before we commit to a new pet of our own, we want to see how her game and travel schedule unfolds so we can ensure we have the proper time and dedication a permanent dog deserves. Caring for your pet gives us the wonderful opportunity to welcome that familiar canine joy back into our lives, while giving your dog a warm, experienced, and incredibly attentive "home away from home" where they will be treated like family. Since I work from home full-time, your pup will have constant companionship throughout the day. I am easily able to step away for regular, timely bathroom breaks, and I love using my work breaks to check in on them, stretch our legs, and truly enjoy their company. We have a fully fenced-in backyard, but please note that one portion of the fence in the back is a bit lower. Because of this, we want to ensure your pup isn't an active "fence-jumper." However, safety is my top priority! My work-from-home setup gives me full visibility of the entire backyard while I work. If there is ever any concern, I am more than happy to accompany your dog outside every time they need to do their business. Daily Routine & Preferences Once the workday wraps up, it’s all about the dogs—longer neighborhood walks and dedicated playtime are always on the horizon! I am incredibly comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic young pups to gentle seniors, provided they are fully house-trained.
“I can’t begin to express the love my Romeo and I have for Jailyn! My pup had to do an extended stay since we’re moving and she took care of my baby as if he was her own!! Always keeping me updated with texts and photos! She will always be his sitter!”

About: I've been caring for animals all my life and have grown up with them always in the home. I work hard to make sure they feel welcomed and love while in my care since I know it can be hard for them being away from family. I have fostered and volunteered with rescues and local shelters for 10 years. I have also been a wildlife rehabber for 6 years and greatly enjoy helping all animals in need. I do currently have one dog that is back end paralyzed and loves everyone and everything. Im currently working part time from home so I will always be here with the furry friends I am caring for. I have a daily routine of getting up early, letting the doggy's outside, feeding them breakfast, going for walks when the weather allows, lots of toys to play with, feed them dinner and have a good time together. We also work on basic training and enjoying lots of love and cuddles. I have a fenced in yard, wonderful neighbors and a welcoming environment for even nervous dogs. I have baby gates set up as well to keep everyone safe.
About: I started dog sitting when I was a young teenager, but I didn’t have my own dog until 2019. Since then I’ve been able to watch friends and family members dogs. I used Rover services for my own dog and realized it would be fun to care for others’ pets and provide play dates for my dog at the same time. I work from home Monday-Friday and we’re typically home on weekends. My dog is friendly and happy to play with others or relax all day. We have a fenced in yard and are very focused on safety. We have plenty of sidewalks to take walks on. I allow dogs on furniture and have plenty of dog beds and toys.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
