“Emily has been nothing but perfect to Behr. She always sends great pictures. Responds in a timely manner. Great with dogs! I would definitely recommend her!! Great prices too. Always respectful and polite.”

About: Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. In fact I am currently working towards a career as a zookeeper. Grew up taking care of both indoor family pets and outdoor barn dogs. I wish to give my own dog, Freya, the best life and therefore have done much research on the care of dogs and their needs. When it comes to animals I prefer to be cautious and examine their behavior to make sure each animal is happy and healthy. My current job has flexible hours and allows me to work from home so I have open availability and I will be able to watch your pets. I have a fenced in backyard which my dog takes plenty advantage of. I understand dog behaviors and monitor them for signs of distress or aggression. If need be I am able to isolate dogs in either a crate or separate areas of the house.
“Working with Shant'a was a tremendously positive experience. This was our first time leaving our pup Leo with a babysitter, and she helped patiently guide us through the process, worked with us coming from our of state, and created such a welcoming environment that Leo eagerly zipped right into her home without a second glance at us. (OK, that part was a little disheartening, but clearly he was happy about it.) Six hours later we came by to collect him, expecting the eager welcome we get when coming home from work, but he seemed more like a kid being told "playtime is over, time to go home". Clearly he was in no rush to leave. Shant'a sent us some nice pics during his stay, and held to the routines we requested. No complaints! She's a delight and we hope to work with her again.”

“This was my first time using Rover and Kimberly was great at explaining everything and making me and my dog feel comfortable. We did day care to see how my dog would do before boarding and it went well. Plus she sent many pictures & videos. Oakley is excited to come back again!”

“Michele and her husband are such caring people and loved our little one so well. Our little one isn’t the easiest and they were very patient with her and took good care of her. I highly recommend using Michele to care for your pet.”
“Erin has become my go-to whenever I need a dog sitter. She cares for Graham as if he were her own, and it truly shows - he is always over the moon excited to see her. She provides updates far beyond anything I could have expected: thoughtful, thorough, and full of care. I genuinely look forward to her recaps and photos every time and usually share them with whoever happens to be around me because they’re just that good! I cannot recommend Erin highly enough. Thank you so much, Erin!”

I do delivery services and some selling so I have a very flexible schedule. There is always time to spend with our furry friends. I have time to do regular feeding and trips outside. “With my first puppy I quickly became worried i'd never be able to take a vacation. George eased my own separation anxiety and I was comfortable taking my first day trip away from my 8 month old puppy knowing she was safe and cared for.”

“Lauren and Kevin were great. Theo did a meet and greet and it went well with day care visit following. Communication was great. Will definitely be bringing him back.”

About: I’m a former teacher and love all sorts of animals. I grew up with dogs and we used to have an awesome yellow Labrador named Zoie. When she passed, my heart needed time to heal and we got busy with raising our son and his activities that we didn’t have time to dedicate to training a puppy. Our neighbor recently got a puppy and my son and I have been helping them out with potty breaks while they are unable to get home to let him out, and she mentioned needing to fine someone on Rover when we couldn't help out. So the idea was born, we thought it would help us get our puppy/dog fix and allow us to love on other people’s pets. We could have it all! My husband has a flexible schedule to work with welcoming dogs and ensuring they are able to use get potty breaks while I work outside the home. We don’t have a fenced yard but will gladly take your dog out on a leash to use the bathroom, so they must be able to go while on a leash.
About: I am mom, wife and dog mom. I have taken care of animals all my life. I understand the care they need. Right now we only have one dog (our 14 year old Boston terrier passed away), so this is a great time for us to start dogsitting. Your furry family member will get alot of attention, care and time with our family. We are homebodies except for running the kids around to their activies. I have a fenced in yard and live in a low traffic court. I also have a very sweet dog. My children are great with dogs and we would love to assist with watching your pets. I know how hard it is to find good care for them. We also have a park and walking path in our subdivision.
“Diane and Duncan are a lovely couple and took great care of our sweet Bella. They have a beautiful home and spacious fenced yard for pets to run and roam in. My husband and I felt very comfortable with them and knew they were pet loving people. We would definitely use them again for future dog sitting needs.”

Brownstown Township dog parents share their Rover experiences
Chelsea was a delight and I am very happy to have chosen her to watch over my little Jazzy (my Pom) while I was away from home attending onsite meetings for work. She was very attentive from the start and he took to her immediately. She actively engages with the pets and she sent multiple pics throughout the day. I am definitely going to reach out to Chelsea the next time I need daycare assistance for my Jazzy!
