“Shanta was very loving and caring towards my puppy. She took wonderful care of her and kept me informed- even sending me pictures and videos during the day. She is very knowledgeable, answering any questions I had about general puppy care. I will absolutely use her again!”

About: Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. In fact I am currently working towards a career as a zookeeper. Grew up taking care of both indoor family pets and outdoor barn dogs. I wish to give my own dog, Freya, the best life and therefore have done much research on the care of dogs and their needs. When it comes to animals I prefer to be cautious and examine their behavior to make sure each animal is happy and healthy. My current job has flexible hours and allows me to work from home so I have open availability and I will be able to watch your pets. I have a fenced in backyard which my dog takes plenty advantage of. I understand dog behaviors and monitor them for signs of distress or aggression. If need be I am able to isolate dogs in either a crate or separate areas of the house.
About: With over 14 years of experience caring for animals, pets have always been a big part of my life. I currently have three friendly dogs and a cat, and every one of them is treated like a beloved family member. Our entire household is full of animal lovers, and we pride ourselves on creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for every pet that stays with us. We welcome pets into our home where they’ll enjoy plenty of attention, playtime, and comfort. We have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor fun, and our own pets are very social and gentle with others. I’ll make sure your pet feels right at home—and I love sending lots of photo updates so you can see how much fun they’re having while you’re away! Operating as Guardian Paws Boarding (Tracy & Sons, LLC). Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s my full-time passion and profession. I’m home all day, every day, which means your pet will get constant attention, love, and care. Since this is my only job, your cat (or dog) will be my top priority, and their needs will never be rushed or overlooked. From playtime and feedings to snuggles and quiet companionship, I’m fully available to follow your pet’s routine and make them feel right at home. You can relax knowing they’re being cared for by someone who’s always around and truly dedicated to their happiness and well-being. When your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like one of the family. I provide a safe, loving home environment with plenty of attention, play, and comfort. We have a fully fenced-in yard where dogs can run, explore, and get their energy out safely. If your dog is crate-trained or needs to be crated at certain times, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. I have three friendly, well-socialized dogs who love meeting new furry friends, and two wonderful kids (ages 8 and 15) who are great with animals and love to play and cuddle with them. Whether it’s fetch in the yard, a cozy nap inside, or just being around a loving family, your pet will get the care and companionship they deserve while you’re away.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. As a kid, we always had at least 3 dogs! As an adult, I adopted my own dog, a miniature daschund, who lived to be 16.5 years old, and I also had a cocker spaniel, who lived to be 12 years old. So I have plenty of experience with elderly dogs. I now have a 9 month old Labrador retriever. He has so much energy, loves to walk and play in the yard, and would LOVE to meet your furry friend. I work 4 days, and then I have 4 days off, so I’ll be available to help you and your pet out with whatever you need! I work 4 12 hour shifts, and then I’m off for 4 days. I will be available most of the days that I’m off. I may be busy on weekends though. I do daily walks with my own dog and work on training with him whenever I can. And we love to play fetch! I have a fenced yard for the dogs to run and play. I have a baby pool for the hot days, my dog loves water! I also have plenty of toys to play with.
About: I am mom, wife and dog mom. I have taken care of animals all my life. I understand the care they need. Right now we only have one dog (our 14 year old Boston terrier passed away), so this is a great time for us to start dogsitting. Your furry family member will get alot of attention, care and time with our family. We are homebodies except for running the kids around to their activies. I have a fenced in yard and live in a low traffic court. I also have a very sweet dog. My children are great with dogs and we would love to assist with watching your pets. I know how hard it is to find good care for them. We also have a park and walking path in our subdivision.
“With my first puppy I quickly became worried i'd never be able to take a vacation. George eased my own separation anxiety and I was comfortable taking my first day trip away from my 8 month old puppy knowing she was safe and cared for.”

“Bobbie is amazing! She watched our pup Ace a couple of times when we needed a sitter during the day. It always makes us a little nervous leaving our pup with someone new, but Bobbie took such great care of him, sending plenty of detailed updates. She also played with him a ton and even took him swimming, which he loves! Ace was exhausted when he got home and I could tell he was so well loved and cared for. Would recommend Bobbie one hundred times over, will definitely book with her again! Thanks Bobbie :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 966 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Flat Rock. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Flat Rock commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 966 sitters in Flat Rock, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
