“Working with Shant'a was a tremendously positive experience. This was our first time leaving our pup Leo with a babysitter, and she helped patiently guide us through the process, worked with us coming from our of state, and created such a welcoming environment that Leo eagerly zipped right into her home without a second glance at us. (OK, that part was a little disheartening, but clearly he was happy about it.) Six hours later we came by to collect him, expecting the eager welcome we get when coming home from work, but he seemed more like a kid being told "playtime is over, time to go home". Clearly he was in no rush to leave. Shant'a sent us some nice pics during his stay, and held to the routines we requested. No complaints! She's a delight and we hope to work with her again.”

About: I have had dogs since I was little, helped my parents walk, feed, bathe, clean up after them. I had my own dog for 12 years. My children also love dogs and love to help with them. I work evenings but while I'm at work my husband is home with our children so someone is always home to take care of your dog. We have a little yard but can offer unlimited potty breaks, clean environment, an area for naps and bedtime. Lots of love from my children to keep them entertained!

About: Hi there! We accept small to medium-sized dogs (20 pounds max or less) and typically care for no more than 4 dogs at a time. Under our careful supervision, your pup can interact and play freely, enjoying both the house and our spacious, clean, secure and fenced-in backyard. They are not confined to kennels or cages, and can sleep wherever they feel comfortable, whether in the open or in their own crate. We have many nooks and crannies for the pups to relax in and many soft, clean blankets and pillows. They will have ample time outdoors for fresh air, exercise and fun (weather permitting), and the rest of course spent indoors, having fun, resting, playing games (we have many many puzzles and snuffle mats) and occasionally having a yummy, owner approved treat (we don't want upset tummies). They are regularly let out for potty breaks and fresh air every 1 to 2 hours, and never left unattended. WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW: We understand each dog has their own personality, likes, dislikes, and temperament. ****A meet-n-greet is required prior to the start of any service.**** -Unless arranged by special request during the week, they are usually on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment. -Please allow enough time prior to your reservation to arrange for the meet-n-greet. LAST MINUTE REQUESTS: We will do our best to accommodate those in tight spots, but generally we only reserve this option for established clients only. VACCINATIONS: Please ensure your pup is up-to-date with vaccinations before boarding to protect them and our little ones from illnesses. PHOTOS: We know how important peace of mind is, so we send consistent, informative photos/updates/videos of your little one so that you know what they are up to and so that you can rest assured that they are doing well! LOCATION: We are located right outside of Ann Arbor - perfect spot near highways and shops! MEDICATION: Yes, we do provide, however, we do not provide service to pets that are sick/ill/recovering/ or need medical attention during their stay. We do provide service to pets that are in good health but require maintenance medications, with vets' approval. FIRST AID/CPR: As of November 2024, we are actively working on finding a reputable organization to refresh our human and pet first aid and CPR certification! ABOUT OUR LITTLE ONES: Archie and Roxy are our two adorable, little terriers who love to have fun - they would be co-hosting with me. My husband works from home, so there is generally always someone home. Either my husband, who works from home, or I will be on hand to supervise the dogs at all times. Ensuring your dogs' safety is my highest priority. A LITTLE ABOUT US: My husband and I are super responsible, incredibly loving dog parents. I was raised with dogs, and other animals, as was my husband (who grew up on a farm here in Michigan). Combined, we have closer to 20 plus years of experience in taking care of our own furbabies, those of our neighbors, and various other kinds of pets. We've been there, worried and stressed out over having to find someone trustworthy who will treat and love our little ones with the same level of care and concern that we do! Being super loving, very protective, and knowledgeable pet parents ourselves, we know full well how stressful it can be to rely on someone else. We are great communicators and continuously strive to educate ourselves and learn about the best new dog products, services, treats, etc. Please rest assured that we will do our best to answer your questions and concerns. It's always a joy to connect with fellow pet parents who are just as devoted and loving to their family members as we are to ours! My schedule tends to be flexible. My husband works from home as well- it’s a joy to have little ones running around! There is always someone at home with a watchful eye - your pup will never be left alone. The importance of temperament cannot be overstated; if there are particular household rules to increase the comfort of your furbaby, I will follow them to the letter. I would like to know if he/she has any medical issues, special needs, etc. A veterinarian's contact information and instructions would be required if medication is needed - this of course also applies if they have special dietary needs, allergies, etc.

About: I have taken care of many animals since I was about 11 and have always loved being around them! I have worked for a rescue for cats and dogs found in Detroit finding the dogs homes and catch and release for the feral cats. I’ve fostered many animals until they have found homes. I have recently fostered a dog who has puppies and has since been adopted♡ ◡̈ I can do boarding on the weekends or overnight throughout the week I have a fenced in yard so I have plenty of room for your fur baby to run and play. I just want your fur baby can be as comfortable as possible:) I’m gonna stay at home mom so I can be with them all day! Me and the kids will give them alol attention they need! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs your fur baby can play with! I can also crate them if you or them prefer that. I just want your fur baby as happy as possible !

Our puppy is almost 6 months old and hadn’t been around many people or dogs, but Samantha and her family gave her outstanding care and great socialization. Maru came back to us happy and loved. I highly recommend Samantha to anyone who wants their dog to be safe, happy, and well-socialized while they’re away.”

I took a break from in-home boarding for a few years but I'm ready to hop back into it. I've relocated and now live in the country. I have a fully fenced 6ft fence to keep the pups safe and secure. HelIo fellow pet parents, I'm Nikki. I worked at a PetsHotel where I provided care to the pets for almost 3 years (walking, feeding, and medicating). I also am a pet owner of three dogs! I am comfortable providing care to pets with special needs. My dog is deaf so we use sign language with her. I'm a regular volunteer at DACC. I foster dogs through local rescues and currently have a medical recuse dog. Lastly, I also have the supplies to bathe (and velocity dry) and clip/grind nails. Baths are only offered to dogs with a short coat (not breeds that have long or thick hair that could get matted-ex: huskies). I work longer days during the week but have weekend availability. I'm willing to make accommodations for boarding pets. Message me for additional questions you may have. I will follow any rules and routines that you have created in regards to caring for your pet. As for my home, I have a fenced in yard.

About: Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. In fact I am currently working towards a career as a zookeeper. Grew up taking care of both indoor family pets and outdoor barn dogs. I wish to give my own dog, Freya, the best life and therefore have done much research on the care of dogs and their needs. When it comes to animals I prefer to be cautious and examine their behavior to make sure each animal is happy and healthy. My current job has flexible hours and allows me to work from home so I have open availability and I will be able to watch your pets. I have a fenced in backyard which my dog takes plenty advantage of. I understand dog behaviors and monitor them for signs of distress or aggression. If need be I am able to isolate dogs in either a crate or separate areas of the house.

About: I’m all about animals and have a genuine love for them. I would love to spend time and care for them! I have two dogs of my own, I had two cats but they both recently passed three months apart, 15 and 17 years old..❤️ I am happy they lived a long good life though :) I’ve been around animals my whole life and they are my everything. One day I hope to have my own dog/cat farm :) I will actually take the time to sit down and cuddle with pets, not just give them a bone and leave them outside etc. I’ll take the time to play with them and make sure they well taken care of along with being attentive to them! I have a consistent daily routine that allows me to give pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’m available before and after work, as well as weekends, and I’m flexible when needed. I don’t just stop in and leave—I make sure each visit includes quality time, attention, and interaction so pets feel cared for, not just checked on. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, medications, and routines. Beyond that, I make sure pets feel safe emotionally too—offering affection, reassurance, and attention so they’re not just alone waiting for their owner to return. I always keep a close eye on pets and avoid any unsafe situations.
