About: I’ve owned and cared for animals my entire life. I currently have a 3 year old dog named Rosco and prior to him had a 13.5 year old lab. My entire immediate family has dogs in which I spend a lot of time with including having them with us while on vacations, ect. Your dog will be treated like another family member in our home and will have plenty of play time with our pooch and kids!! I work monday-friday dayshift, home by 4pm with all weekends and holidays off. My husband works 12 hour days and has several days off during the week. Someone is currently always home with my 3 year old son so it would be seldom that your pooch would be without someone. I live on 2 acres so there is plenty of space to play outdoors. I am with the dogs while they’re outside or watching since it is not a fenced in yard. I have a very friendly playful pooch at home. I also have 2 children that are used to having dogs and pets so they are good with animals and love having them stay with us. Dogs are free to roam the home, lounge on furniture or beds.
“Kasey was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend her. She definitely loves taking care of fur babies and it shows. I can’t even Thank her enough. Will definitely have her care for my babies again. Thank you so much Kasey❤️”

About: As a family of animal lovers, we provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for your pets. My 11-year-old and 15-year-old children absolutely love animals and enjoy helping give them attention, playtime, and plenty of affection. We have a large yard where dogs can safely run and play, and we make sure they get regular walks and exercise. Have had experience with animals, including a senior dog all my life. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. I work from home and have a flexible schedule (adjust as needed), which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I do not have a fence but will go out with your dog and take it for a walk. My kids look for dogs to pet and play with everywhere. Exercise is something I am trying to do in the summer, let me watch your dog and take them for a walk.
“Our puppy had a great time with Kristin! We trusted her in our home, she replies quickly, is reliable, and she updated us with pictures of our fur baby while we were away.”

“Amazing service! Kasie is professional, friendly and flexible. I felt very comfortable leaving my kitty in her care. She always sent pictures and updates which I appreciated. I even had to switch the schedule a little bit throughout my trip, and she took it in stride.”

“Thank you so much for taking such good care of our doggies! Cindy was right on time every day and spent a lot of time with them. She kept me updated on all the "details". I would highly recommend Cindy to anyone! Thank you again!”

About: I have been working with dogs since I was a child and I also have several years experience volunteering at animal shelters in both South Eastern Michigan and Southern California since 2010. I work 9-5 M-F from home so I'm available after all weekdays and all weekends to ensure you're stress free while away from your pup! I have a 2 year old 40 pound Catahoula who is very friendly and loves other dogs so your dog is guaranteed to stay occupied!

“Claire was amazing. My cat was very happy well fed and taken care of. She always kept me updated with plenty of pictures. I was perfectly happy with her service. Great job. I tipped her in cash. Would use her again.”

About: I’ve worked with dogs as a kennel attendant at dog daycares/boarding facility for a total of 4 years. Alongside of that I have spent multiple years dog sitting, from a King Charles Caviler Spaniel to a Cane Corso. I own 3 cats, 2 tabby cats and a tuxedo, and I have a corgi named Daphne! In the past I’ve owned various rodents. Animals are something I’ve loved all my life. I’m currently not working anywhere so my availability is pretty much completely free any day of the week! I’d love to spend my days with your fur baby. Due to my dog at home being reactive with other dogs, I only offer services in my clients home and walks outside! I will play with your furry friends, feed them, let them outside, sit with them, walk them, or whatever other thing they may need!
“Abby did a great job taking care of our two dogs, Milo and Lila, on the day of our wedding. We needed someone to drop in on them to let them outside and feed them, and she provided us with text updates for each of her visits which took the weight of worrying about them off our shoulders. We would 100% have Abby come watch our babies again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. As a kid, we always had at least 3 dogs! As an adult, I adopted my own dog, a miniature daschund, who lived to be 16.5 years old, and I also had a cocker spaniel, who lived to be 12 years old. So I have plenty of experience with elderly dogs. I now have a 9 month old Labrador retriever. He has so much energy, loves to walk and play in the yard, and would LOVE to meet your furry friend. I work 4 days, and then I have 4 days off, so I’ll be available to help you and your pet out with whatever you need! I work 4 12 hour shifts, and then I’m off for 4 days. I will be available most of the days that I’m off. I may be busy on weekends though. I do daily walks with my own dog and work on training with him whenever I can. And we love to play fetch! I have a fenced yard for the dogs to run and play. I have a baby pool for the hot days, my dog loves water! I also have plenty of toys to play with.
About: I’ve been a shelter volunteer for 5 years, working closely with the dogs most people struggle with the reactive ones, the jumpy ones, the bitey ones, the over-stimulated ones, and the dogs that need real structure and patience to thrive I’m used to reading body language fast and staying calm no matter what’s in front of me. Whether it’s leash pulling, overexcitement, reactivity, or lack of focus. Maybe your dog just needs more work on learning commands and learning obedience I can do that to! let me know what I can do to best help you and your dog I would love to help Pet care is already a major part of my daily and weekly routine. I have 8 birds at home and On top of that, I volunteer at an animal shelter 2–4 days a week, where I work hands on with a wide range of dogs especially high energy dogs and dogs that need extra structure and patience. That experience keeps me consistently involved in reading behavior, handling different temperaments, and staying calm in all situations. When I’m not at the shelter, I plan my schedule around Rover bookings like walks, drop-ins, and training. I make sure each visit has enough time and attention When I care for pets in a client’s home, I follow your routine that you provide so the pet stays comfortable and consistent in their environment
About: I grew up with dogs and they meant alot to me, I cared about them very much. I will treat your pet the same way I did mine. I'm a school bus driver and I'm off for the summer, so I can be available most days that you need me to take care of your pet. You can trust me to take good care of your pet. You can trust me to respect you, your pet and your home. I will make sure your pet is taken care of and safe.
“Phoebe was an amazing help for my puppy! She is dependable and sends lots of pictures. I love that she brought some new toys for our puppy to play with - just like my daughter used to do when babysitting! Phoebe was great at communicating and a really delightful person. She will be my first choice for future needs!”

About: I am mom, wife and dog mom. I have taken care of animals all my life. I understand the care they need. Right now we only have one dog (our 14 year old Boston terrier passed away), so this is a great time for us to start dogsitting. Your furry family member will get alot of attention, care and time with our family. We are homebodies except for running the kids around to their activies. I have a fenced in yard and live in a low traffic court. I also have a very sweet dog. My children are great with dogs and we would love to assist with watching your pets. I know how hard it is to find good care for them. We also have a park and walking path in our subdivision.
“Lauri is a very kind and compassion for animals is obvious. She made us feel secure in trusting her with our baby girl and our home. We look forward to continuing our services with her.”

Our corgis love when she visits, and are way happier after seeing Payton midday. She communicates with us quickly, and sends us cute photos when she’s visiting. Can’t wait to continue using her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
