“If I could give this a 100 star review I would! Lynn was wonderful with Dixie. We got the best updates daily and quickly if I asked for more. She is a keeper! We will definitely be calling her again.”
“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Thank you for the great and attentive care for my 3 fur babies. Great pictures and the dogs were so well cared for. Another perk is she's only 10-15 minutes from.Detroit Metro if you're flying in and out.”

“Cody, his family, and pup Freya took great care of Moxie. She was skittish being her first time away overnight, but they were patient with her and gave daily updates and pics. She loved playing with Freya& fetching balls. Their home and yard is safe and secure. We will definitely book Cody again when we are visiting out-of-state family near him.”

“Had a great experience with Katey taking care of our dog. She kept us updated on the dog and sent pictures daily. She has a lovely home, great big yard, and nice family. I'm surprised that the dog wanted to go home.”

“Leslie was AMAZING. She sent frequent pictures of our baby's walks and adventures. It's very clear she loves dogs and treated our Pickle like he was her own. We have complete comfort knowing Pickle was in great care, getting all the TLC he needed while on our honeymoon.”

“Catalina was amazing. She gave daily updates, was great at communicating and also sent pictures (whenever my cat would allow it. lol). My trip took an unexpected turn so I needed an extra day to get back home and she couldn't have been more understanding about it. I highly recommend her!”

“This was my very first time leaving my dog because I was going on a vacation. I was very nervous because of course that’s my baby. But she took really good care of him and sent me updates very frequently so that helped calmed my nerves. I really would be using her services again. Thank you so much ❤️”

“We just moved to Detroit and we needed a dog sitter ASAP so we turned to Rover. We used the service in our prior city and found a good reliable sitter. We lucked out again with Theresa & Adrian. They took good care of our goldendoodle. If they are available, we will definitely use their services again.”

“Jessica was super easy to work with, accommodating and her energy is 10/10. We have a big rescue puppy who did so well with Jessica, and we think was sad to leave her. Will definitely use again in the future.”

“Kerri is such a rockstar Dog Mom! We truly appreciate all her care for our boys. We feel so comfortable with her daily updates and adorable photos/videos. Thank you!”

“I can’t begin to express the love my Romeo and I have for Jailyn! My pup had to do an extended stay since we’re moving and she took care of my baby as if he was her own!! Always keeping me updated with texts and photos! She will always be his sitter!”

“Dawn was wonderful with my puppy George. I was little nervous leaving him for the first time but she put my nerves at ease. I could tell when I came to pick hime up he was well cared for and happy. I will for sure be using her again in the future.”

“I highly recommend Manu for any dog boarding. She was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated with photos. Our shepherd/husky cross is a pretty big and energetic girl, but Manu kept her busy and happy. Manu made everything simple and clearly takes great care of our dog.”

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and had dogs in my own home for 10+ years. I have had experience ranging from raising and training puppies to caring for senior dogs with special needs such as blindness and diabetes. I work remotely from my home and will make sure your pet has all the attention that they need. While I have your pet I will ensure they are only left alone briefly for necessary errands. I have a fenced backyard and one well mannered if energetic pup. Your dog will receive as much love and care as my own. From snuggles on the couch to long walks around the neighborhood and games of fetch in the back yard.
“Mojo and Flash seemed to thrive with George! They came home happy and healthy. George sent us daily updates with pictures, which we really appreciated. Thank you for taking good care of our boys!”

About: I've taken care of dogs for family members, friends, and neighbors since I was 16. They have relied on me to walk, bathe, and feed their pets. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. I am currently working from home right now, and I am in school online, so I will have plenty of time to love and take care of your babies. Trips to the dog park will always be on our to-do list to have some fun! I also have a pup loving boyfriend who would also be happy to keep your baby company.

Fantastic! From initial meeting and communication to the final pick-up, Jake operated with a tremendous level of quality and care. He asked detailed intelligent questions before drop-off to make sure everything went smoothly, sent daily pictures and updates, walked every day, and had a great time. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
