“We just picked up our pup from a weeklong stay with Katie and Jeremy, and judging by her level of exhaustion, she had a great time. 😊 This was her second stay with them and we now have an even greater level of comfort knowing she is well cared for in this home. Frequent photos and text messages from Katie and Jeremy were greatly appreciated. And we loved that toward the end of her stay , she had a companion dog to chase in the backyard. They clearly both had a great time. Thank you, Katie and Jeremy for your excellent care for Maggie. We have another trip planned in spring of next year and will be in touch to schedule boarding for that one too. We highly recommend this home for short or extended stays. A++ pet sitters!!”

“Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.”

“Joe and Andrea are the best! It gives me so much peace of mind to have a loving home for our baby when we travel or just need to drop him for a few hours. Thanks guys!”

“This is the second time Lilly has stayed with Caroline. She did a great job with communicating & sending pictures so we knew Lilly was comfortable & doing well. Would definitely have her sit Lilly again!”

“Kali was so wonderful. My mollie enjoyed her time with her and her pups! She kept me posted on mollies needs and I am grateful she worked with me on my hectic schedule.”

“Connie and Ron are gifted dog lovers. Our 1.5 yrs maltipoo, who is highly attached to us, stayed comfortable and she was pampered for 2 days. They send us updates and pictures of our Lola and that was such a relief loving us to enjoy a family wedding. I whole heartedly recommend them to take care of your most precious puppy cargo We are so so appreciative and lucky we found Connie and Ron.”

“Miranda was such a great sitter for my two golden retrievers. I got multiple updates daily of them playing in her yard, sometimes with some of her daycare pup friends. My dogs were happy and well cared for when I picked them up after my 5 day work trip. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Mary is the best sitter we’ve found in Asheville. She is quick to communicate, sends plenty of thoughtful pictures and has a large space for the dogs to play outside. She gave my dogs ample walks and they got along well with her two sweet dogs. 11/10”

About: I have been surrounded by pets my whole life. Growing up, we always had dogs, cats, and birds. When I moved to the U.S, I lived in the country side with many dogs and thousand of birds (literally). Now, I have a little Chihuahua mix; he is like my baby. I also help my friends sitting their dogs when they are out of town. I love animals; I like to play with them and give them a lot of attention. I have experience administering medication to pets either orally or injectable . I am educated and trustful person who will respect your home and your pets. I am able to pass a background check if it is required. I have a cellphone and my own car. My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will never be left alone. Our jobs are very flexible, which means we can take your dog for walks during the day. I have a very friendly old Chihuahua. My house is big, comfy and very clean. It's at the end of a cul-de-sac, so there's no traffic.

About: I've been around dogs since I was little and I've watched a few dogs in Asheville and taken them on walks and we always have a great time. I'm a musician, so I'm home full time and i have a flexible schedule and plenty of space to play with and walk a dog. My home is a very calm environment, and we have a nice outdoor space. The neighbors have dogs so there could be opportunities to play with other dogs if that's something they're into. If I was at your house it would be pretty much the same, I would of course be attentive and careful and I would treat your things like they were mine.
About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was a small child. I have owned two dogs of my own and trained each of them. I have a flexible schedule to meet any needs you may have for your furry friend. I’ve been a registered nurse for 25+ and am taking a hiatus from nursing to heal from a traumatic assault. I have found pet care to be the most healing. Waking in the outdoors with pets has helped me a great deal. I do have a dachshund puppy that would need to accompany me if house sitting. He does not have to come for drop in visits or walking services. I am currently available with an open schedule and can accommodate most any needs. I live alone and can devote all of my attention to your pet. If your pet is in my home, they will be just like family, typically sitting with me. I have a dog park near by for off leash adventures and lots of room for leash walking. When in your home, I’d mirror a similar routine with your pet that you have for day to day.
“KaLynn took great care of our Lou. She was very easy to communicate with before and during Lou’s stay. She took Lou on a long walk and sent frequent updates and photos throughout the day. We will definitely reach out again for future needs.”

“I was so happy to have Jacqueline watch Magnus. This was the first time he’s stayed with someone he didn’t really know and he did great. I got updates throughout the day and she took him on so many walks. I could tell that Magnus was relaxed and having a good time. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Laura was AMAZING. She watched my girl overnight while I was out of town. Great communication, sent me lots of pics and updates and my dog had a great time! Her dog was a good play mate and her fenced in yard must have been a blast. Would definitely board with her again.”

“I am so thankful that I have found Molly!! Our dog Esther absolutely loves going to stay with Molly. When we first got Esther I wanted to find somewhere that Esther felt at home and loved. And we sure did with Molly. As soon as we pull up to Mollys house she is so excited, she does not care at all that I am leaving. Esther has spent several nights over at Mollys and I can’t say enough amazing things about Molly. I trust that Esther is well taken care of and loved and Molly always keeps me up to date with pictures!”

Our boys had the absolute best time!! Joseph and Andrea took care of them like they were truly a part of the family. We received daily updates and our boys were treated like the little princes they are 😂 at one point our 14 year old dog Wilfred had a messy accident and Joseph let us know all about it and made sure to send adorable photos of him getting pampered in the bath post poop-magedon. We’ll 100% be booking again next time we travel!

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
