Jeremy & katie are a genuine dream rover! Great communication, lots of pictures, kid and other dog-play, walks—a dog summee camp! They had our Rex for about a week and we picked him up safe & sound. We would definitely recommend them to future Rover users!

Words cannot express how much we love Brody! Brody has cared for our energetic pup a few times...most recently for 2 weeks. Brody kept us updated with photos and videos and reassured us when we were really missing our pup. He has been especially flexible with us & has helped us with last minute requests for dog sitting.

Hope and her family are animal lovers and it shows. They were flexible about drop off and pickup times and weren't offended when I asked for a meet and greet before leaving our dog.

Vicky is a true dog lover who nurtured my little guy while I was out of town. She kept him on his schedule and even though it was his first major boarding after a move to a new city, he seemed to have no anxiety and just enjoyed the stay. The extra walks were above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I have never felt better leaving my dog at someone’s home. Joe was so communicative and kind, and just truly loves animals. I have a young, energetic German Shepard puppy so he can definitely be a handful, but he had such an amazing time playing with the other dogs, and I could tell he was being well cared for! Thanks Joe & Andrea!

Terri and her husband were so SWEET to me and Ares. They have the best little farm for my dog to run around on. He had the best time staying with them and I would absolutely use her again. They are such kind people!

My baby was in very good hands with Jessica and John (Jack). Thanks for taking such good care of Zeus on his first away from home stay. I really enjoyed the pictures and videos and know you spoiled him a lot. He went around our house this morning sniffing everything, glad he was home. But I know he will be in very good hands if we ever have to leave him home again. Thanks again J and J. We appreciate you!

I highly recommend Caroline! From the moment we met, it was clear that she has a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of their needs. Caroline kept us updated throughout our time away, sending us regular photos and messages about our furbabies. This not only eased our minds but also showed us how much they were enjoying their time together. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like family, look no further than Caroline. We will definitely be using her services again in the future!

Kristin and Seth took excellent care of both of our pups. They sent us pictures to reassure us that they were settling in and adapting well and to ease any concerns. They were happy and healthy when we picked them up and it was obvious they enjoyed themselves while we were gone :) we will happily use them again in the future!

About: I have had dogs, cats, birds, and much more animals my entire life. I love taking care of animals and have done it for friends and family for years. I’m very active and love walks and runs! I have 3 animals of my own including 2 dogs and a cat. I have taken care of baby, Senior, adult, healthy, and sick animals. I’m an animal lover and love meeting new people and animals. I have a lot of knowledge with animals for the simple fact that I have been around 100’s my entire life, from saving strays to having pets. I live in Weaverville and would love to help out with taking care of your pet or pets! I work all day but could be flexible. Im a personal trainer, my hours are 4am-2/3pm. I am available with at least a week notice. I can help on M-F and weekends with drop ins and walks. I have a yard as well as 2 friendly playful dogs. I have crates as well as separated floors that are gated off in my home that always help.

About: Hello! My Name is Justin Gardner. I have resided on a large tract of pristine farm land located 20 miles north of Asheville, sitting perfectly between Weaverville and Marshall. For anyone looking to give their dog a true country getaway, this is a paradise. If your pup doesn't always get the chance to fully experience nature, our wide-open spaces to explore and a fully fenced-off yard offer the ultimate safe freedom. Dogs have been a central part of my life since early childhood, and that lifelong passion continues today with our own beloved resident dogs. We understand dog behavior, respect their individual routines, and treat every guest like a member of the family. Whether your dog loves to run wide-open spaces or just wants to sniff the mountain air and lounge on the porch, they will find their perfect rhythm here. Working primarily from home allows me to provide attentive, full-time care and regular outdoor exercise. I can host overnight (Short or Long term) boarding seamlessly as long as owners provide their dog's personal items and necessary accommodations, allowing your pup to enjoy a safe, country retreat with all the comforts of home. Safety and socialization go hand-in-hand here. My dog Rocco, a friendly Catahoula Leopard Hound, has six years of excellent experience interacting with other dogs and is always eager to welcome new playmates. Playtime in our fully fenced yard is entirely supervised, and I can easily crate your dog for meals or bedtime to ensure a structured, safe stay.

  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
