I treat every dog in my care the same way I’d want someone to treat my own with patience, attention, affection, and respect for their individual routine and personality. I’ve cared for dogs for more than 10 years, from energetic younger dogs who need plenty of exercise and playtime to older dogs who need a little more patience and a slower pace. I’m already used to planning my day around my own dog, Leo, so walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention are part of my normal routine. I’m available throughout the week and can often accommodate different schedules with advance notice. I know how particular I am about who I trust with my own dog, so I take that responsibility seriously when someone trusts me with theirs. I follow each pet’s normal routine and their owner’s instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications, and any house rules. I pay attention to the little things too like behavior, energy, appetite, and anything that seems out of the ordinary and I’ll always communicate with you. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, my goal is simple: keep them safe, comfortable, loved, and as close to their normal routine as possible.

“Pat was very patient with both Sammy and myself, especially in trying to find his apartment! I had a very stressful day and kept getting confused. Sammy was a rescue with a horrible background and Pat was very careful handling him. Pat took him out for walks several times and Sammy loved being out on his patio! About: I grew up on a farm so I’ve been caring for animals, big and small, my entire life. I currently have two small (nearly identical) dogs, Frannie and Banana. I work from home so it’s easy for me to give them plenty of walks, pets and love. I have a small backyard and live steps from Norris Square park. I’m the go-to auntie to all of my friends pets :) I am a freelancer who works from home. I have two small dogs who I walk 2-3 times a day plus outside time in our backyard. My schedule is flexible and I live steps from Norris Square park. I have a fenced in backyard with a potty area. Two small dogs who are friendly. I typically have them meet new dogs outside of the home before having them come in to avoid any territorial behavior. My dogs eat 3 small meals a day and we keep treats to a minimum due to Frannie’s sensitive stomach. There are plenty of toys and the dogs are never out of sight.

About: I’ve had a pet in the family since I was about 10. First an iguana, then a canary, a cat, a dog, another dog, and for the first time I don’t have a pet in the house. I love to walk, give pets, I’ve trained two dogs (patiently), and taken care of medical needs for senior dogs. I currently volunteer as a walker at Doggy Style Pets for dogs up for adoption. Currently work from home so plenty of time to play and walk. My day is pretty flexible as well so more than willing to work with busy dog parents. I have a fenced in yard and live near Kelly drive so plenty of places to walk or be outside. As far as sitting at a clients house, as long as I have a place to sit and WiFi I can work from, I can be available to sit in home while respecting your space.

About: I (Hadley) first starting walking the dogs in my neighborhood when I was 8 years old. I've since had two family dogs (both cavaliers), rescued an adult street dog and her nine puppies, and adopted our own street dog who now lives in Roxborough, Philly with us. I have lots of experience walking, caring for, and administering medications of all kind to puppies, healthy dogs, older dogs, and dogs with a traumatic/abusive past, anxiety and more. I promise, no request will seem crazy to me. I've had to deal with a number of serious health scares that have required emergency visits to the vet and can handle both the process of deciding when a pup needs to see a vet, getting them there, and handling treatment steps afterwards. I'm extremely organized and will happily keep you as updated on your pup as you would like to be! We both work from home and have tons of flexibility in our schedule. Jomi goes on a run most morning and is happy to take your pup with! My partner, Johan (Jomi), and I work from home so we're both at home all day. Jomi runs most mornings and is happy to take your dog with! He's also happy to do dog runs instead of walks, if you're looking for a dog walker for a more high energy dog. Our dog takes a medication that means he needs to go out for pee breaks often so we typically go out 5 times a day with a longer walk around 11 am and 3 pm. We are happy to shift our schedule to meet the needs of your pup! We have a small fenced yard that your pup can sunbath in or go out in for bathroom breaks. We live right next to Wissahickon Valley Park, which we typically do one longer walk/day in.

About: I am a former dog dads who will love and care for your dog as if your pup was my own. Because there are two of us (my husband and I), your fur baby will receive plenty of individual attention and will rarely be left alone. We provide long and frequent walks, lots of play time, and affection. My husband says I speak dog...I am really good at reading their needs. I've had a dog in the family ever since I was a kid (first a Miniature Collie and then a Rottweiler), and recently lost our own beloved Beagle-Vizla a few years ago. Ever since, I've been a regular dog sitter for a small terrier-Chihuahua mix who suffers from high anxiety. I love every dog and appreciate your consideration in taking care of yours! I work from home and make my own schedule, and I'd be more than happy to spend that time taking care of your pup. With access to many parks and wide, quiet streets, that means plenty of lovely walks for your doggy. I love sitting with your dog either in my lap or by my side. There are numerous parks a few blocks away. We also have a small patio backyard pergola and soil, so there's always a comfortable place for your baby to go to the bathroom and soak in the sun.
