Ariella was such a wonderful sitter! She was so patient and understanding of my very anxious dog. With a nervous dog, it can be stressful leaving her with someone new for the first time since you never know how it’s gonna go, but Ariella provided regular updates, which was much appreciated and put me so much more at ease. I would absolutely book another visit for my dog with Ariella next time the opportunity arises!

Sarah was absolutely amazing! We stayed in Philly for a couple days and she took great care of our pup while we were out exploring! She made us feel so comfortable knowing that our buddy was safe and happy. They went on lots of walks and had lots of snuggles and she was great about updating us every step of the way! She also sent some pretty fantastic pictures. We will absolutely book Sarah next time we’re in town and are so appreciative of her! Also, her doggy Harry Nilsson is such a sweetheart and was a great companion for our dog!

About: Hi! I’m new to Rover but definitely not new to caring for dogs. I grew up with dogs and now have a 3-year-old dachshund named Lincoln, who is incredibly friendly and loves meeting new pups. I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs of all sizes, including a 95-pound Golden Retriever. I recently started my MBA at Wharton after working in consulting, so I have a flexible schedule and can give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. My goal is to make your dog feel like they’re on their own vacation while you’re away! Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, snuggling on the couch, or just hanging out nearby, I’m happy to match their routine and energy level. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else—I feel exactly the same way about Lincoln. I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own and make sure you receive plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. As a full-time MBA student, my schedule is very flexible, and I spend much of my day studying from home. My fiancé also works from home, so there’s almost always someone around to keep your pup company. Lincoln and I already go on several walks each day, and I love walking around Fitler Square, Rittenhouse Square, and along the Schuylkill River Trail. If your dog enjoys adventures, I’d be happy to bring them along! We also love spending time at the park (if that’s something you’re comfortable with and your dog enjoys). Every dog’s routine is different, and I’m happy to tailor walks, playtime, and downtime to what they’re used to at home. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My fiancé and I live in a clean, dog-friendly apartment in Fitler Square, where visiting pups will be treated like members of the family. Lincoln is a gentle, social dachshund who loves having canine friends around. Before each stay, I’d love to learn about your dog’s personality, routine, and any preferences or quirks so I can make their experience as comfortable as possible. Whether they need medication, have favorite toys, prefer quiet walks, or have specific house rules, I’ll do my best to keep everything consistent with what they’re used to. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care, so I’ll keep you updated with frequent photos and messages throughout their stay. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your pup is safe, happy, and loved.

Riemke and Nathan took wonderful care of our pup while we were in town for the day. We were so grateful that they were able to help us out at the last minute. Lily was in wonderful hands and seemed to have a great day with lots of walks and fun. She was comfortable immediately, and they stayed in touch with us through out the day. I would definitely recommend them for your pet-sitting needs!

About: I'm currently a grad student with a flexible schedule, and honestly, time outdoors with a dog is my favorite way to recharge and get away from the screen. A good walk or an afternoon of play doesn't feel like a chore to me — it's the part of my day I look forward to. That means your dog gets someone with the energy and genuine enthusiasm to keep up with them, not just clock in and out. I grew up with a golden retriever and was the one taking care of him solo whenever my parents traveled for work, so I've been the trusted "person in charge" since I was a kid. I offer dog walking, doggy day care, and drop-in visits & house sitting, and I'm comfortable with everyone from high-energy pups to laid-back loungers. Whether your dog needs a good walk, some company, or a full day of play, I'll treat them like my own. Can't wait to meet you both! As a grad student with a flexible, largely home-based schedule, I can give your pet real attention and keep to their routine. Through the summer I'm generally free all day, every day, except Sunday mornings. Because I'm home and around for most of the day, I can stick to your pet's normal routine — feedings, walks, meds, and play at the times they're used to — and send you updates and photos so you always know how they're doing. If you have a specific schedule you'd like me to follow, just let me know and I'll build my day around it. Doggy day care: I'm in a comfortable 750 sq ft one-bedroom apartment with easy access to Rittenhouse Square, so your dog gets a cozy home base plus plenty of nearby green space for walks, play, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. They'll have my attention, a steady routine, and regular trips outside rather than being left to lounge alone. Dog drop-in visits: I like to be thorough so your dog's day feels exactly like it does when you're home. Before your first visit, I'll ask where to find the spare leash, poop bags, water, and treats, and I'll want to know your usual walking route and routine. The more detail you can share, the better — I'd genuinely rather have too many instructions than too few, so your pup gets the same care and rhythm they're used to. Cat drop-in visits: For cats, I pay close attention to the details that keep them comfortable while you're away. I'll ask where the litter box is, whether it needs refilling, and exactly how you'd like it cleaned, plus where to find food, water, and treats. I also like to know their favorite toy and how they usually like to play or spend their day, so I can match their normal routine rather than disrupt it. Clear instructions are always welcome — I'd rather follow your way of doing things to the letter.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years and have always had a deep love and respect for pets. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s an energetic puppy, an adult dog, or a senior pet that needs extra patience and gentle care, I provide dependable, attentive care as if they were my own. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind, knowing their furry family member is in caring and trustworthy hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day, whether they need walks, playtime, feeding, medication, potty breaks, or simply companionship. I’m able to adjust to each pet’s routine and provide attentive, reliable care whenever they need it, giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions before providing care. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I’ll make sure they have fresh water, are fed on schedule, get plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection, and are always supervised in a safe environment. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I've been a dog mom for over 13 years! My girl came home with me at just 4 months old, and she's still my whole heart today at 13. She's also taught me more about attentive, compassionate pet care than I ever expected. She's always been reactive, which means I've spent years learning how to read dog behavior, manage stress responses, and create a calm, secure environment. And as she's gotten older, she's developed a number of health issues that have made me comfortable with medications, vet routines, and the kind of patient, watchful care that older or special-needs dogs require. I know from experience how hard it is to leave your dog with someone. The anxiety is real! That's exactly why I take every booking personally. Updates, photos, check-ins, whatever helps you feel at ease, I'm happy to do. I’m available full-time, which means I’m not offering a bare-minimum "place for your dog to sleep." I’m providing in-home, attentive care: - this is my primary job so the dog isn't left alone for 8–10 hours - About 4 potty breaks per day - Feeding your pet meals on their schedule - Playtime - Cuddles and companionship - Medication administration when needed - A relatively consistent routine My schedule has a bit of a unique rhythm: I share custody of my dog, so every other month she's with me, and every other month I have full flexibility at home. On the months she's away, I open up for boarding and daycare in my apartment, in addition to my regular dog walking and drop-in visits. On the months she's with me, I keep walks and drop-ins going so I can still be there for your pup, just in a way that works best for everyone. I am always taking on new clients for dog walking as I am available all the time for that. Especially looking to have more repeat clients who need a routine walking schedule! My apartment is dog-friendly and calm. No chaos, no strangers cycling in and out. When your dog is here, it's just us, and they get my full attention. I'm attentive by nature, and with a reactive dog of my own, I've become someone who genuinely notices and responds to how an animal is feeling. I believe trust is built through communication, consistency, and honesty. I'll always be upfront with you, respond quickly to messages, and send updates so you know exactly how your pup is doing. I don't take on more dogs than I can genuinely care for. I believe that quality over quantity is always better.

Ronon came home happy and relaxed from daycare at Sean's place, so I know he had a good time. (He has separation anxiety and big feelings, so if he's been stressed or unhappy when we're apart, it's pretty obvious.) Sean has a great, chill vibe and was very attentive to everything I told him about Ronon before his first visit. I will definitely book daycare with Sean again!

I can’t thank Tim enough for being such a lifesaver and amazing sitter! I had a very last minute need for a sitter over the July 4th weekend while I was working and he stepped up in the biggest way. He walked Coco multiple times a day and gave the most adorable summaries of their day together. Coco sprinted to him immediately after only one day and it was obvious she had a great time despite the terrible 100 degree weather that weekend. I can’t thank him enough and can’t wait for him to sit coco again!

About: I bring high energy and genuine enthusiasm to every dog I care for—I love playing and keeping dogs active and engaged. While I haven't owned my own pet, I have hands-on experience caring for my sister's dog, which has taught me responsibility, attentiveness to a dog's needs, and how to maintain their routine and comfort when their owner is away. I'm reliable, observant, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe and happy. I'm eager to expand my experience and would love the opportunity to care for your furry family member with the same dedication I've shown with my sister's dog. As a student living close to campus, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. Having a dog to care for is actually a therapeutic outlet for me—it helps me balance the stress of studying and provides wonderful companionship during my study sessions. I love the routine and responsibility that comes with pet care, and it motivates me to take breaks, stay active, and enjoy time outdoors. Since my apartment is just a short distance from school, I can easily be home between classes to check in, take dogs for walks, or simply spend time together. Pet care naturally fits into my daily rhythm and genuinely enhances my student life. I offer care in both my home and my client's home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. My apartment is cozy and perfect for smaller dogs, with plenty of space for them to feel comfortable and relaxed. One of the best perks of my location is that I'm right near Franklin Square Park, so dogs in my care get regular outdoor time, exercise, and socialization opportunities. For clients who prefer care in their own home, I'm happy to maintain your pet's familiar routine and environment so they feel secure while you're away. Whether at my place or yours, I prioritize keeping pets active, comfortable, and well-cared for.

Very responsive, flexible, and watched our dog Piper on a last minute request. After struggling to find someone for daycare with just a few days notice, Janelle responded quickly and was available immediately for a meet and greet followed by a long day with Piper. Additionally, Piper had a fantastic time and seemed to quickly warm up to Janelle despite struggling with separation anxiety, which was something we were initially worried about. Both Janelle’s enthusiasm for helping us out and her excitement for taking care of Piper made the experience fantastic; not just for our dog, but for us as well!
