“John is the absolute best. He and his equally hospitable Boston Terrier, Parker, took care of our Wheaten Dolly for two weeks. We were nervous having never left her with anyone for that long, but he provided us with regular (and often very funny) updates about how Dolly was doing. He took the time to understand Dolly and worked with her on some of her issues. She only sleeps on her back when she feels safe and secure, and many of the photos John sent showed her snoozing away on her back, paws in the air. She came back clean, brushed, and although she was excited to see me I think she was a little sad to say goodbye to John and Parker. We will absolutely be relying on John in the future and are so grateful to the kindness he showed us and Dolly.”

About: I’ve taken care of lots of different kinds of animals since I was a teenager. I worked at a zoo in England for a summer when I was a bit younger and from then, I grew a genuine passion for animals. I am currently working from home, so I will be able to provide lots of attention to your dog. I also walk routinely in the morning, evening, and anytime in between. I do not have any pets that live with me so it will just be myself and your dog. I will usually only have 1 dog at a time unless the dogs already know each other or live together.

About: Grew up with dogs my entire life and was required to train and care for them. As an adult, I have trained multiple dogs to AKC standards - my own dogs as well as training for family and friends. My exercise is my dogs exercise- think walks and runs around the neighborhood. During the day they will have the company of my pups to keep them entertained. Then I am home and available to give belly scratches while we watch TV. Have a large rooftop to soak up the sun with high walls for security. When your pup is here, it will be treated like my own - no problem with them being on couches or beds. I have crates available if that is preferred.

About: Hi, I’m Cynthia! I am experienced pet parent and have had my dog, a super friendly couch potato Bassett Lab mix named Tucker, for over a decade now. I grew up with cats and frequently pet sit for friends and neighbors by doing drop in visits and walks. I have experience with both small and large dogs, and love to get my steps in with walks! We take our dog out for a 30 minute walk every morning, as well as shorter walks and play throughout the day as my husband and I both have flexible hours and work from home. About: I’ve been around animals basically my entire life. I just moved here from Key West, where I was the Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Florida Keys SPCA. During that time I got deeply involved in fostering and rehabilitating animals to get them adoption-ready, so there isn’t much I haven’t seen. I occasionally have weekend plans, but your pet will always be my top priority and I plan around them, not the other way around. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible. I follow feeding schedules, medication times, and any specific instructions exactly as the owner lays them out. I’m attentive to body language and behavior, so if something seems off with appetite, energy, bathroom habits- etc, I’ll notice it early and communicate right away. For safety, I always double-check doors, gates, and windows, keep harnesses and leashes secure on walks, and stay aware of any household hazards (cords, plants, foods, open balconies).
