About: I am obsessed with every animal under the sun, although the fluffy ones are my favorite. I have had a snake and hermit crabs as pets (in addition to the usual dogs and cats). I am notorious for remembering a pet's name while forgetting the name of their human. Nothing gives me more joy than meeting a new animal and learning all their quirks. I especially love working with pets who need a little extra care and attention. I spent five years living with a highly reactive dog, and have done reactivity training with my own dog for around 4 years. I have also served as a dog-walker for the local animal shelter, performing basic leash training with high-energy dogs. I really enjoy working animals on their terms - I am happy to sit quietly with a dog or cat until they feel comfortable enough to approach me. One of the reasons I like house-sitting and drop-ins are because pets tend to be much more confident and comfortable in their home, especially with a stranger. Whatever their needs, I will make sure to keep them comfy and happy. I have a flexible schedule and generally accommodate with enough notice. My transportation options are somewhat limited, so I prefer to work local to Vancouver. I am very respectful of my client's home and their established routine. I will work with you beforehand to make sure all your pet's needs are addressed.

About: I’ve had dogs, cats, and small animals my whole life. I’ve even fostered with rescues in the past. I recently lost my own dog and thought maybe I could cuddle someone else’s while they travel. I work from home and have a fully fenced yard which your pet would have access to at any time they like! I work from home for the Dept of Veterans Affairs and usually have the back door open for access to the fenced yard throughout the day. Outside of errands, I am typically home with them. I have a fenced yard with plenty of access for the pets. When they’re here, they’re family so if they want in the sofa: great! Sleep in bed: even better! Or if they prefer the safety of their crate, that’s good too. I want them to feel comfortable. Unless they’re from the same household, I prefer to keep one dog at a time to make sure they get undivided attention. But, if they’re social and like to play, I live super close to the dog park! If you just want drop-in visits or walks, just let me know how I can best accommodate and I’ll be happy to work something out to suit your needs.

About: I recently moved here from Birmingham, Alabama and pet sat for a decade and I want to continue to connect with new families and their little floofs here in the pnw! I have worked with all ages of cats and dogs. I’ve also taken care of fish, hamsters and even bees on occasions. In the past I have had the same eight families I have looked after and met other pet families through them over time too. I have a fully free schedule since I just moved here and searching for a part time job. In the past I have been in school, worked at restaurants, and consistently pet sat as a combined full time because looking after little ones is a part of my daily routine that I cherish and wish to continue. So I am excited and able to be with your little ones as much as needed. I want the pet(s) to be relaxed and comfortable in their own homes when looking after them in order to not disrupt their regular routine too much. I prefer to meet the family and little one(s) before caring for the animal(s) before overnight sitting or for just drops ins. This way I can be well aquatinted with everyone and bring sense of calm into everyone’s daily routines from the start. This way, I can also learn in person their exact routines, any medication’s if applicable, any quirky things the pets might request in their routines, ie I once had an elderly dog thatI looked after that wanted his dinner “ heated up” in the microwave. So I would make “beeping’ nosies and pretend that his food was fancy like a humans. The family and I found it as a cute and an easy way to make him feel happy and eager to eat. The quirky the better is what I have always looked forward to when bonding with the little ones. For a meet and greet, if the family and animal(s) are ok with more of a “come on in” policy where there’s not a meet and greet first, particularly for drop ins, I’m more than happy to use with this method as well. For dogs in particular, I want to make sure that I keep up with their exercise routines with any amount of walks requested. If the family and floof(s) are more adventurous, I would happily like to take them on hikes, if it is wished to be incorporated into their routines.

About: I have experience caring for dogs through family friends, along with hands-on experience raising multiple dogs, cats, and even lizards of my own. I also volunteer full-time at a dog shelter in my college town, where I work closely with dogs on training and building positive behaviors. In addition, I’m comfortable administering medication if your dog needs any extra care. I am currently at home for summer break giving me plenty of time to care for your furry friends! I am a University student, so my availability will only be from May-July as I will need to go back to North Carolina for school. I am extremely flexible and am so excited to get to know your pets! I have a fenced in back yard with 1 friendly dog. She plays better with larger dogs, but can adapt to everyone! I will prefer to pet sit/dog walk from your home over boarding, just because my home can be hectic from time to time, I want to ensure your pup has the best time possible with me! I love to go on long walks, hikes, drives, and all of the above with dogs, so activity will not be a problem for me :)

About: I’ve always loved animals and enjoy caring for them. I currently care for seven chickens, which has taught me responsibility, consistency, feeding, and paying close attention to their needs. I’ve also cared for my mom’s dog while she was away and helped care for my sister’s puppy. I have a flexible schedule right now and would love the opportunity to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care. While I’m not quite ready to have a pet of my own, pet sitting feels like the perfect way for me to spend time with animals and provide them with the love and attention they deserve. I’m currently taking two classes on Monday and Wednesday mornings, each for about two hours. I also enjoy going to the gym and have a flexible schedule around my seven-year-old son’s school schedule. I’m usually up around 7 AM and have plenty of availability throughout the week. I’m happy to communicate with each pet parent and work together to find a schedule that works well for everyone. I’m very attentive to detail and always make your pet’s safety and comfort a priority. I understand that some owners prefer minimal communication while they’re away, so I try to respect that while still keeping them updated when needed. If I’m ever unsure about something, I’ll always ask rather than make assumptions. My home has plenty of space for pets to relax and play, along with a fully fenced backyard where they can safely go potty and enjoy some outdoor time. We have a calm, quiet home with few people coming and going, which helps pets feel comfortable. There is usually someone home, so pets are rarely left alone. If they do need to be alone, it would typically be no longer than 2–3 hours.

About: I have always had animals in my life; from cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, ferrets, the list goes on. My love for animals is immeasurable and I love spending my time helping others in need and getting to spend time with their fur babies. I’ve been watching friends’, family, and even co-workers’ animals for over 10 years. I am currently traveling with my husband while he works so I have plenty of free time in our new apartment in Camas, WA. We stay in a safe location and have ample space for nice, long walks as well as plenty of toys to keep your pup entertained! Just outside of our two bedroom apartment, I have a grassed area where my dogs love playing and enjoying the outdoors. My dogs love having friends over to run around and play with.

About: I have cared for all sorts animals my whole life, from as small as a gerbil to as large as a llama. I have previous experience working in a boarding kennel and veterinary office. I have experience working with special needs animals and administrating medications. I work full time, 6-8 hour shifts 5-6 days a week. I am almost always done with work between 1 and 2 pm at the latest. I don't have consistent days off but can be flexible with availability. For pets who need extra care throughout the day (potty breaks every 4 hours, 3+ meals, etc.), I can typically work accommodations into my schedule for those in the 98664/98683/98684 area. I am well-versed in behavioral signs of animals and will make them feel safe and trusted while I am in their homes. My main goal is always to support your pets in whatever way they need.

About: I have lots of time outside of work and enjoy going to parks for walks. Would love to take some dogs with me for walks. Outside of my 6-230 job I am free to take care of animals. I am up early and can walk dogs morning, after work and in the evening. I live in a townhouse with a fenced backyard. I would walk dogs multiple times a day and play with them. Happy to spend time with animals in a client's home if that is preferred.

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my entire life and have experience caring for chickens as well. I previously volunteered with the Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW), where I worked primarily with large dogs. Through my volunteer work, I completed dog safety training and learned how to recognize and de-escalate potentially stressful situations to help keep both animals and people safe. I am also an Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout service project, I designed and built an outdoor shelter structure for HSSW that provides volunteers and staff with protection from the weather while supervising dogs in the play yard. Working closely with the shelter further strengthened my commitment to animal welfare and my passion for caring for pets. I am generally available after 3:00 PM on weekdays. I have classes during the mornings and early afternoons on some weekdays, but I do my best to keep my schedule flexible for pet care. Animals are always my top priority, and I am committed to making sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes through my volunteer work at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, where I regularly walked and worked with large dogs. I'm comfortable handling strong or energetic dogs and use proper leash-handling techniques to ensure walks are safe and enjoyable. Through both my volunteer experience and completing my Eagle Scout service project at the animal shelter, I have spent significant time working in environments with dogs present and understand how to remain calm, attentive, and respectful of each animal's needs.
