“Julie is the most professional Rover person I've ever worked with. She did a superb job walking Tali and sending nice notes every day! Would absolutely request her again.”

About: I’ve always felt a special connection to animals and I love spending time with them. I grew up with 4 dogs, 5 cats, and 2 rabbits, so I’m comfortable around lots of different animals! I accept pets of all breeds, sizes, and ages, and my top priority is caring for your pet and keeping them healthy and happy! I have a part-time job where I work in the afternoons, so I’m really able to be flexible in when I care for pets! I would be able to work with you and your dog for whatever works best for the both of us! I will ensure the care given to your pet is up to your standards as well as keeping your pet healthy and happy while you’re away! I love and accept all breeds, sizes, and ages!!

About: I’ve had dogs basically my whole life, ranging from just one dog to at one point six in the house that my family and I cared for together. Because of that, I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines, and I understand how important it is to make sure pets feel safe, cared for, and comfortable. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I am available Monday through Thursday, since I work weekends Friday through Sunday. That gives me dedicated time during the week to focus on visits, walks, and making sure each pet gets reliable care and attention. For drop-in visits and walks, I care for pets by keeping them comfortable in their usual routine and environment. During drop-in visits, I can provide food and water, bathroom breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention while making sure everything looks normal and they are doing well. During walks, I focus on safe, attentive handling and making sure each dog gets exercise at a pace that fits their needs. I always try to follow the owner’s instructions closely so their pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I am a volunteer for two local animal shelters. I am a foster and rescue dog mom. Gaining more experience for certification requirements. Thank you! I work from home 80% of the time and am available daytime some days during downtime and also in the evenings and weekends. Thank you! I walk my dogs frequently, lots of exercise. I have crates, doggy seatbelts. Whatever your rules and boundaries are I would abide by them. Thanks!
“Julie is amazing. She was super detail oriented on making sure she followed my pups routine, and made sure to give me lots of updates! You could tell the pups were having a good time too..lots of puppy smiles in the pics. Definitely recommend her!!”

About: Watching pets is fun at my home for your pet and for me! I’m home all day and will provide your pet with lots of love and attention! I love watching pets after losing my dog a year ago. I have references that I will be proud to share. My clients always tell me when they let their pet out of the car to come in my home, they run to might front door to see me! I promise a wonderful experience will be had for your pet and for you! Thank you for considering me to take exeptional, loving care of your pet. I do daycare, overnight and will go to your Home to play and walk your pet! Thank you so much!!! Stacey
About: I've been taking care of animals since 7th grade. My family had their own dog and I used to care for animals around the neighborhood including cats and other animals. I take care of my former co workers dogs and my dad's dog. I'm a very active person, so I love to play outside and go for walks. I work as a teaching assistant full time and school gets out at 2:15 so I have plenty of time in the afternoon most days and could always take time off if needed for a long weekend. Plus school breaks I have plenty of time. I live in an apartment that has small dog parks outside. I'm very comfortable with letting dogs out in fenced in areas and taking them on leash for walks.

About: I've been working with animals since I was little. I've worked with all sizes of dogs and also have taken care of cats. I've watched senior pets and pets with specific health needs. I also have a formal education in animal behavior as a nice added bonus! I'm currently working part time during the summers and I'm in college the rest of the year. I have plenty of free time to watch your cats. I can do drop in/walks during the week and if you're pet is okay alone more than 4 hours I can also pet sit during the week. I can dog sit any weekend. I only do dog sitting as my home isn't suitable for boarding. I do however reliable transportation and can watch your pet at your home. I also maintain plants and some smaller reptiles/amphibians so I can help keep your house in order while you're away.
“We absolutely love the care that Rachel provides our 2 Golden's and bunnies! Rachel is super conscientious, passionate about pets, is a great communicator, picture taker, prompt, gives all the time and effort so that when we come home our pups are calm and "happy". Thank you Rachel!!”

“Fran was wonderful with my dog! I loved that she came to meet us and get to know Maisy before their first walk together. Fran’s background as a vet tech gave me such peace of mind that my girl was in good hands and Fran did an amazing excellent job keeping me updated. Would definitely recommend to other and book again! Thanks, Fran!”

About: Have grown up with dogs my entire life and now am a proud owner of my own dog, Goose, who is a male bernedoodle. He is a bundle of joy and loves being around other dogs. I work remote half the week so have plenty of time to walk/dog sit/board and Goose would love to have a friend around. I currently work remote 2/3 days a week so have a lot of time on my hands during those remote days! My bernedoodle loves other dogs and would very much enjoy having a friend on a walk or around the house. My dog and I go on daily walks and lots of tennis ball tosses. He is treated like a King as ALL dogs should be!
About: As a lifetime pet lover, I've had pets my since I was little! I have a dog and 2 cats right now. I have senior care experience for both cats and dogs. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and my husband, Mat, also works a hybrid schedule so your dogs will not be home without a companion for long! With this flexible schedule I am able to offer lots of love and attention to your pets, including daily walks if requested. When we are not home dogs are put into a large sized kennel to keep them safe. I have a fenced in yard and a quiet neighborhood for daily walks. My dog Lacey is friendly with all animals she's met! We keep the upstairs as a safe area for our two cats, Libby and Pumpkin
About: No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother. I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important. I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.
“Adriana was an incredible help with our nervous dog who can be a bit ~weird~ with strangers; she had our boy snuggling on the couch with her in just one weekend. She gives great updates and calmed every worry we had this weekend.”

About: My name is Gia and I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes! I have taken care of dogs ever since I was 10 years old with my family dog as well as the neighborhood dogs assisting them with feeding, walking and watching! I now have a Golden Retriever and a German Shepard. I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes and would love to play with yours! I am a real estate agent so I make my own schedule! I am very flexible and very open when it comes to availability and times that I have open! I plan on doing whatever measures you prefer to keep your dogs happy, safe and trusting of the environment! I understand that this is your pet and I want to do everything I can to make you and your dog comfortable

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
