I can’t express in words the amazing job Shoshana did. I never heard of Rover before and wanted to try it out. Shoshana came out early just to meet my dog so they could know each other. Shoshana came to walk her for the booking and treated my dog like she was her own. Her love and affection for an animal that is not hers is unbelievable. I only wish I knew about Shoshana sooner. I look forward to the next time I can use her service because I know my dog is in good hands with her.

Timothy is hands down the best dog walker Ollie has had. He takes him on actual walks, gives him so much care and attention, and Ollie absolutely loves him. He gets excited every time he hears Timothy is coming! The trust piece is huge for me, and I fully trust Timothy with Ollie. Highly recommend.

Darlene is amazing with my dog and he LOVES her!! She always provides the full 30 minute walk which I truly appreciate. She also makes sure he eats before she leaves, and she is always in great contact with me. I truly always look for Darlene's availability when looking to book my dog for a walk. About: I have spent years caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I genuinely love building trust with every pet I meet. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calming drop-in visit, or simply making sure your pet feels safe while you’re away, I provide dependable, compassionate care tailored to each animal’s needs. My experience includes volunteering with Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter and Stafford Veterinary Hospital, where I worked alongside animal care professionals and gained hands-on experience with dogs of different temperaments, medical needs, and backgrounds. Those experiences taught me how to read canine body language, stay calm in stressful situations, and always put an animal’s comfort and safety first. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. I’ll treat your dog like family, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve every visit. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind and make your pet’s day a little brighter. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. I do my best to accept last-minute bookings whenever possible and understand that plans can change unexpectedly. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, a long walk, or a drop-in visit while you’re at work or away, I’m committed to providing reliable, consistent care. My goal is to make scheduling easy and ensure your pet receives the attention and companionship they deserve. I believe pets are happiest in the comfort of their own home, where their routine stays familiar and stress is kept to a minimum. During each visit, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh food and water, plenty of exercise and playtime, bathroom breaks, and, of course, lots of attention and affection. I take the time to understand your pet’s individual personality and routine, whether they prefer a long walk, a game of fetch, or simply a quiet companion. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own and always follow your instructions carefully. My goal is to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while giving you complete peace of mind. You’ll receive regular updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your furry family member is doing.

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with two pups of my own and over three years of hands-on experience volunteering with a dog rescue. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience. My experience includes daily walks, basic training, handling dogs at public events, and fostering. I’m also comfortable recognizing and supporting basic medical needs. Your dog will be treated like one of my own—with lots of care, attention, and love. I currently work in an office setting so my availability is mainly Friday-Sunday and if needed after 6PM Monday-Thursday for a potty break or walk. I care for my dogs in various ways based on their needs. I utilize crate training/treat reinforcement/basic commands and do my best to remove any negative habits where applicable.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind, from my family dog to my friend’s dogs with special behavioral needs. My family and friends have relied on me to feed, walk, and give medication to their dogs and cats. I currently work part time at a dance studio for children that is mainly open during the evenings, allowing me to have a flexible schedule during the day for more walks and playtime. I can walk, feed, play with, and give medications to your fur baby to give them the extra love and attention they want during the day.

She rcommunicated after each walk and took some cute pictures as well. I was able to have fun on my day trip knowing that Molly was there to take care of my dog. I would definitely use her again.

About: Hi my name is Micaela and one thing about me is that I adore animals! I love all animals so very much. I also feel that I work really well with them. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. Most of my dogs have been big dogs so I’m pretty good with handling any challenge that’s thrown my way. I’ve had more aggressive and protective dogs as well as laid back dogs and I’ve loved all. I’ve also worked at local shelters in my hometown and felt that that helped me gain more experience working with varying animals. I trained a couple of my dogs from a young age and though I’m not certified I felt that I did a pretty good job. I’m very patient and very genuine. I also watched my dogs whenever my parents would go on business trips which was quite often so I’d say this is the perfect job for me! I’m a college student but have majority of my classes online so my schedule is pretty clear. I love being outdoors and in nature so dog walking is right up my alley. I also love just chilling at home so I have no problem with that as well. I will always be respectful of others space especially if they are allowing me to stay in their home and watch their animals. I would say I’m a pretty neat person and don’t mind cleaning up if anything is needed. Genuinely it makes me happy to help others around the house if necessary. I used to babysit for a while and would always tidy up when I could find the time. I recently moved and now live with my grandparents and mom. We also have a chocolate lab who’s very energetic and loves to play. We have a fenced in yard and a conservation close to our house so there’s plenty of space for the animals. We love having dogs in the house.

Shoshana was simply amazing! Our family was always kept at ease while away on our vacation. Shoshana was always sending pictures and updates while with the pups. We never felt like we were missing out on the fun or worrying whether our pups were engaged enough. They…were…SPOILED! 🩷 We will absolutely be seeing Shoshana again!

Sarah was great! Since this was going to be our first visit with her, she came over before to meet our puppy and they hit it off great. Without going into details, during the actual walk visit, she went above and beyond. We will definitely be using her again and recommend her to others..

  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
