About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, and personalities. From energetic puppies to senior pets needing extra patience and attention, I provide loving, reliable care tailored to each animal’s needs. I understand how important routines, comfort, and safety are, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m a student at Towson University! All of my classes take place in morning/early afternoon so I am free in afternoons/ evenings. The weekends I am completely free as well! I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any medication instructions. I make sure the space is clean, secure, and free of hazards, and I never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also maintain open communication with owners by providing regular updates and photos, so they feel confident and reassured while they’re away. Most importantly, I give each pet patience, attention, and affection to ensure they feel comfortable and cared for.
About: As a retired professional, I bring reliability, patience, and a calm presence to every walk. I’ve been a dog owner of two large breeds and one small breed. I have hands-on experience with doodle breeds and their unique personalities. I understand the importance of safety and health. I’ve cared for dogs with medical needs, so I’m comfortable with monitoring, medications, and giving extra attention when needed. Whether your dog loves a brisk walk, a gentle stroll, or some extra cuddles along the way, I treat every pup like family because that’s what they are. As a recently retired police officer, I currently work part-time so my hours are flexible and will have plenty of time for your fur babies. I will treat your home as if it were my own. I will safely walk your dog on leash, and can easily crate your dog, if need be.
“Catherine is great! I knew from our meet and greet that she is a genuine animal lover! She immediately got down onto the floor to calmly and gently introduce herself to my cat. Dani went right up to her with confidence. Catherine took such good care of my Dani while I was on vacation. She made sure that she had plenty of food and water each day and tended to the litter box. Catherine took time to pet, brush, and play with Dani too. She also took a lot of great photos. I could see from the photos that Dani was thoroughly enjoying Catherine’s company and attention. I will definitely use Catherine in the future and confidently recommend her pet sitting services to others.”

“Shoshana did a fantastic job watching our cats while we were on vacation. Her daily texts and photos made us relieved that they were in good hands. Some of our cats are shy but they warmed up to Shoshana quickly. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I currently work at a dog daycare, where I regularly handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I’m experienced with feeding routines, playtime, and closely monitoring behavior to keep every dog safe and comfortable. I’ve also administered medications and given insulin shots to dogs, so I’m confident caring for pets with special needs. I treat every pet like my own and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for currently work part-time at a dog daycare, so caring for dogs is already a big part of my daily routine. I work mornings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, which leaves me available in the afternoons and evenings on those days. I’m also available most weekends, and I’m working toward having an even more flexible schedule soon. I’ll always make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, care, and consistency I prioritize a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet. While I can offer care in my home when needed, I typically prefer caring for pets in their own home where they feel most relaxed and secure. I love animals so much and feel strongly about loving and protecting them. I have experience caring for both young and older pets. I am also an active person and love to exercise myself and the dog! I will make sure they are safe, happy, and always fed/hydrated. Unlimited pets and good boy/girl at all times.

“Mary was awesome. She accommodated a pretty short notice request for our first time for a drop-in. And while our dogs can be anxious around new people, she had no concerns and took them out and played with them and they had a blast. We will definitely be using her services again.”

About: With over 11 years of professional pet care experience, caring for animals isn't just my job—it's my passion. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles within the animal care field, giving me a well-rounded understanding of pets and their individual needs. I've worked in several animal shelters in positions ranging from Animal Care Technician, Adoptions Counselor, Customer Service Representative, and even Shelter Manager. I've also worked at multiple doggy daycares, where I started as a Daycare Attendant in the playrooms and worked my way up to Assistant General Manager. In addition, I spent time working as a Veterinary Technician, which gave me valuable hands-on medical experience and strengthened my knowledge of animal health and care. I am also Fear-Free Certified! At home, my life revolves around my fur babies! I currently have six cats and four dogs (two of my dogs live with my mom). One of those pups is an 8-year-old Chiweenie with stranger danger, resource guarding, partial blindness, Cushing's disease, and diabetes, requiring daily insulin injections and consistent medical care. My other family dog is a sweet 10-year-old Basset Hound. Caring for pets with special medical or behavioral needs has given me firsthand experience, patience, and confidence in handling a wide variety of situations. My experience has taught me how to work with pets of all personalities and temperaments—from confident social butterflies to fearful or reactive animals. If your pet experiences stranger danger, I'll gladly schedule multiple meet-and-greets so we can build trust at your pet's pace. My goal is always to create a safe, low-stress, and positive experience for everyone involved. I'm experienced in administering medications, including insulin injections, oral medications, and other routine treatments. I understand how critical it is for pets to receive their medications on time and exactly as directed, and I take that responsibility very seriously. Whether your pet is young, senior, energetic, shy, or has special medical or behavioral needs, you can rest easy knowing they're in experienced, compassionate hands. I hope to hear from you and your fur baby (or babies) soon!🐾 Pet care is currently my full-time job, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate my time to giving your furry family members the care and attention they deserve. Every pet (and every pet parent!) has different needs, and I believe there's no one-size-fits-all approach to pet care. Whether your pet thrives on a strict routine, needs multiple potty breaks, requires medications at specific times, or simply enjoys extra cuddles and playtime, I'm happy to accommodate their individual needs. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable and confident while you're away. Please let me know what you're looking for in your pet's care, and together we'll create a plan that keeps your furry family member happy, safe, and loved while you're gone. I always treat the home and the fur babies as if it was my own. Everything must be treated with love and respect. Always respect the animals space when they want it as well.

About: I love all types of dogs, and am the type of person who can't pass a dog in the street without stopping to say hi and give him/her a pet. I have a dog of my own, Mia, a 7 year old German Shepherd mix. I love her, but she's a handful, so I have experience with dogs who might need a little extra attention and care. I'm a teacher and off for the summer so I have plenty of time during the week (and on some weekends) to walk your pup. Unfortunately, my dog is not the most friendly to others so I cannot host your dog in my home. We'll have fun being out and about though!

“Jules is amazing and takes great care and pride in watching pets. My three cats were well looked after and her updates were well detailed and professional. My cats also enjoyed her so that’s a huge plus!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
