“Dana was wonderful with my dog Beau. We had a last minute trip and she stopped in numerous times to feed him, take him for walks and play with him. He was well cared for. Highly recommend Dana.”

About: I am patient and love the difference we can make in animal lives. A simple walk to me but it means the world to them! I work full time, but I would love to use this opportunity to spend time with your pets. Your pets will have my undivided attention in my care. I am trustful individual with great attention to detail. Your dog’s safety is my number one concern. We will make sure to be safe but also have a lot of fun!
About: As a retired professional, I bring reliability, patience, and a calm presence to every walk. I’ve been a dog owner of two large breeds and one small breed. I have hands-on experience with doodle breeds and their unique personalities. I understand the importance of safety and health. I’ve cared for dogs with medical needs, so I’m comfortable with monitoring, medications, and giving extra attention when needed. Whether your dog loves a brisk walk, a gentle stroll, or some extra cuddles along the way, I treat every pup like family because that’s what they are. As a recently retired police officer, I currently work part-time so my hours are flexible and will have plenty of time for your fur babies. I will treat your home as if it were my own. I will safely walk your dog on leash, and can easily crate your dog, if need be.

About: I’ve had pets growing up weather it was a dog a cat or a Hamster, I’ve even took care of my aunts pet pig and cat. I’m currently in school from 8–1 but after that i’m free, and im very flexible with weekends and weekdays Im a senior in highschool so when summer comes around i will be free! I’m a very responsible and respectful person so you won’t have to worry about having a messed up home ever! I have a puppy of my own so if your pets ever want company she’s great with cats and dogs

“Meg has watched my anxious dog Jane several times handling her with the best care and always following my instructions esp with the doors/pet care. She is very flexible and very kind, my dog jane was lucky to have her!”

“Nicole was absolutely amazing. She cared for our guinea pigs and cat like they were her own. Nicole was very communicative and attentive to what each animal needed. Cant wait to work with Nicole again and can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“This was Lisa's first drop-in visit with Bogey, who is a rescue , previously abused, and normally reserved around new people. He and Lisa got along very well. She took the time to meet Bogey in advance, arrived on time, and obviously cared about making him comfortable, something that is not easy to do. I was very pleased with the care Lisa gave him, and I will be scheduling her in the future. It is my hope that she will be my "go to" person when I need a dog sitter.”

About: I have worked on a dog therapy farm caring for over 30 dogs, all different breeds, ages and temperaments. I would walk, feed, and care for the dogs. I had a pet cat growing up, and currently have a 8 year old, 100 lb American Akita that I rescued from a kill shelter with severe anxiety and behavioral issues - so I know how to handle difficult dogs. I also have dog sat my sister’s newborn dachshund puppy and her 2 year old rescue mutt. I am familiar and comfortable with all dogs and cats. Most importantly, I love them and will care for them with the respect and adoration they deserve! Im not working at this time, so I have all day to spend with your furry friend! I am available for walking, check-ins, or dog/cat sitting and will give them my full attention! I have a huge yard, although it is not fenced in, and I do have a dog at home. However, he is friendly and can be separated from your pet if needed, but he’s there for company if they want! I live in a quiet, foresty area, so plenty of long luxurious walks. I can crate your furry friend as well. In your home, I am fully comfortable sticking with walking/feeding schedules, and can adhere to your pets needs in their own environment!

I have experience taking care of cats from kittens to seniors, & with administering medication. Cassie is fantastic! One of my cats is on oral medication, and it’s not easy to give her the pill each day, so I can’t even begin to describe my sheer relief in finding someone competent, caring, responsible and reliable to take care of everything when we’re away. All three of my kitties loved her. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
