We met with Brian and his wife before our trip, which gave us an opportunity to see how our dog would fare while we were away, and we felt very comfortable with dropping him off with them. “Like many others, my dog is basically my child so I always get a little nervous when it comes to finding a sitter. I contacted Cheryl to watch my 5 year old dachshund for two nights for a wedding we were attending. She was very responsive and was also conveniently located 10 minutes from our hotel. We traveled from NY and therefore didn’t get the opportunity to do a meet and greet beforehand but Cheryl reassured me that her dog Gus was friendly with everyone and when our dog met him, they got along right away. Cheryl has a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to run around and although our dog typically sleeps on our bed, Cheryl had plenty of comfy couches and dog beds available. My dog is also an incredibly picky eater and eats fresh refrigerated dog food (he’s a diva I know) and Cheryl had no problems accommodating this. She provided many updates which I certainly appreciated. I would recommend Cheryl to others looking for a dog sitter in the area. About: Cats have completely stolen my heart. 🐱 Over the past 7 years, I've worked with, fostered, and loved cats of all ages, personalities, and medical needs. Once I started working with cats, I knew they had become my favorite animals to care for. Along the way, I've fostered kittens, participated in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts, and helped many cats find their forever homes. My home is currently ruled by 6 very spoiled cats (and their two doggy sisters that they love), and each kitty has taught me something different about feline behavior and care. Springer is on behavioral medication and eats a prescription urinary diet, so I'm very familiar with administering medications and managing special medical needs. Mary Jane and Willow like to remind me that cats can be wonderfully quirky—they both have behavioral urination habits that have taught me lots of patience and understanding. Willow is also crate trained! April keeps me on my toes with her constant need of love & affection, while Figaro is my biggest success story. He was the most fearful foster I've ever had, and after years of patience and letting him go at his own pace, he blossomed into the sweetest lap cat. Then there's my little orange dude, Lil' Dorito, who joined our family as a tiny 4- to 5-week-old kitten that I bottle-fed around the clock. One of the most special cats I had the privilege to love & care for was my hospice girl, Cleo. She was only with our family for six beautiful months, but she left the biggest paw print on my heart. Despite her health challenges, she was the sweetest, shy little mama's girl. Caring for her was one of the greatest honors of my life. Living with six cats means I understand that every cat is wonderfully unique. Some want to be your best friend immediately, while others prefer to admire you from across the room—and that's perfectly okay! I always let cats set the pace, because earning their trust is one of the most rewarding parts of caring for them. Whether your kitty is playful, shy, spicy, senior, a tiny kitten, or has medical or behavioral needs, I'll treat them like one of my own—with patience, love, and plenty of chin scratches (if they'll allow it!). I have a dog of my own, Mia, a 7 year old German Shepherd mix. I love her, but she's a handful, so I have experience with dogs who might need a little extra attention and care. I'm a teacher and off for the summer so I have plenty of time during the week (and on some weekends) to walk your pup. I’m a local college student who is home for the summer, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I plan my days around the pets I’m taking care of. On days I have work, I’m still able to stop by before and after, and on my off days I have even more availability for walks, visits, or overnight care. I always make sure to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and stress-free. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions you provide. I 100% respect the environment I’m in and the boundaries I’m given. I treat your home like it’s my own and always leave it exactly how I found it, with the exception of a toy or two left out from playtime! My goal is to keep your pets happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve been an avid pet lover since i could take and have been caring for my own pets for years. I’ve always been able to help neighbors and friends with their furry loves ones. I’m currently a part time workers with a lot of free time during the day! I’ll be able to help your pets during the day while you’re hard at work! I am comfortable taking dogs of many sizes on walks and help to work on reactivity using positive reinforcements with treats. Not only that but i will be sure to keep them safe in a comfortable environment.
About: I have taken care of cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, lizards, fish and frogs personally and used to care for dogs and cats at my job at Garden State Veterinary Hospital. I am doing pet sitting full time currently because I enjoy the flexibility of the job. I also want to save up money as I’m considering going back to school to be a vet tech. I will do my best to keep your pets safe in your home and when out for walks. I will treat them like my own.

“Like many others, my dog is basically my child so I always get a little nervous when it comes to finding a sitter. I contacted Cheryl to watch my 5 year old dachshund for two nights for a wedding we were attending. She was very responsive and was also conveniently located 10 minutes from our hotel. We traveled from NY and therefore didn’t get the opportunity to do a meet and greet beforehand but Cheryl reassured me that her dog Gus was friendly with everyone and when our dog met him, they got along right away. Cheryl has a fully fenced in yard with plenty of room to run around and although our dog typically sleeps on our bed, Cheryl had plenty of comfy couches and dog beds available. My dog is also an incredibly picky eater and eats fresh refrigerated dog food (he’s a diva I know) and Cheryl had no problems accommodating this. She provided many updates which I certainly appreciated. I would recommend Cheryl to others looking for a dog sitter in the area. She did a great job taking care of my fur baby and I would use her as a sitter if we were ever in the area again. Thank you for taking great care of Wilson, Cheryl!!”
