House Sitting Fairmount

About: Having grown up in the suburbs of Loudoun County, Va, I’ve held the privilege of being able to take care of many dogs (Neighbors dogs: Labs, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, Terriers, Shizus and a Newfoundland) including my own Bradley (12yr, yellow lab). As a kid I used to dread taking Bradley out on his long walks, especially since he could be a little stubborn at times- today I look forward to every walk we take and it’s more meaningful to me than ever to take my time on them. Whether long walks, feeding or just plain playing I’d love to help out wherever needed. I am a media professional currently in between jobs so my availability is wide open. Currently in between jobs for the next month so my availability will be wide open starting September 28th. Until then I’m available most weekdays after 5pm and in the mornings and afternoons on weekends. I love to bring joy, positivity and patience to every home I walk into and I hold that as the foundation for the way that I care!

She's not the type who will accept a job, then change her mind and leave you stranded. She's responsible, a person who could manage any situation as well as could be expected, and is up for what comes her way. Whether your pup needs a mid-day energy-busting walk, a morning drop-in, or dedicated overnight company, my schedule is mostly open to fit seamlessly into whatever routine your pet needs to stay happy and comfortable. In My Home & Around the Yard: Since I have a moderately sized, fenced-in yard and my own Bernese Mountain Dog, safety at home is mostly about supervising the fun. I never just let the dogs out back and walk away; I’m always out there watching them play to make sure everyone is sharing toys and getting along safely. Before a new pup ever visits, we’ll do a casual Meet & Greet to make sure our dogs vibe well together. Indoors, I keep my home calm and secure, making sure doors are always locked and any human food or hazards are kept way out of reach. In Your Home & On Walks: If I’m coming to your place, I treat it exactly like I’d want someone to treat mine. I stick strictly to the routine you give me for feeding and care. When we head out for neighborhood walks, I always double-check harnesses and collars before opening the front door to make sure nothing can slip loose. I keep a short, secure grip on the leash and stay entirely focused on the dog—keeping an eye out for hot pavement, heavy traffic, or stray dogs so our walks stay completely stress-free.
