Availability
As of right now, I have a pretty flexible schedule. I like to frequently adjust my availability to be updated when new things occur in order to better accommodate my clients.

First thing to pet care for me is getting everything written down either on paper or straight into my phone to ensure my care is as accurate as possible. I give frequent updates for the following things: when I arrive, when I leave, when the pet displays a potentially different mood than usual, the second they throw up or have a weird movement, and of course anytime I need to share a cute photo of the pet. My tasks usually include feeding the pets early, followed up by outdoor time, then indoor chill time. When needed, I will walk the pets as well.
Information Sara G. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog might tug heavily on a leash or if they might react harshly to seeing other dogs / animals nearby. Any further questions I have I will ask personally.
A typical day
Specifically in my neighborhood there is a popular straight way path that’s about a mile or so long that my dog absolutely adores going on. It has a path and just grassy area that is perfect for play / relaxing. If there are any parks or paths that are available in the neighborhoods where my clients live, then I could walk pets around those areas. In terms of fun activities, you can’t beat the classics: tug of war and fetch ?. For chiller pets there’s also nothing wrong with kicking back and giving pets. With my own dog we both love just chilling outside on the deck just absorbing the sun.

Pet care experience
Recently graduated from college at VCU, I am ready to take care of some fluffy babies! I have a degree communications arts and I love both caring for animals and drawing animals / creatures. I have been taking care of pets in my hometown throughout my entire time in college, but now I am ready to help out in the city... and I might even get to get in some live sketch practice too 😆. I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I lived in Spain for three years back in 2012 ! Little & big dogs alike as well as cats. I’d say I’m pretty good at dealing with random situations dealing with pets as I’m quick to clean up vomit or any pet accidents. One time, I had a kitten claw stuck in my neck! But I was able to unhook to kittens claw without injury to the kitten. I have been using Rover for about 3 years and have gained a lot of on the job experience with the varying breeds I’ve had the opportunity to take care of. My past jobs have consisted of feeding dogs, taking them out to use the bathroom or for a walk around the neighborhood. With cats it would be changing the litter and playing with them. Can’t say I’ve ever been tasked with fully washing a dog before, but I’d definitely try if needed! Closest I’ve gotten was cleaning up an accident that involved the dog rolling in a certain not so great smelling matter 😆. Many of my past clients can attest that I give very frequent updates on when I am departing and arriving at the residence, as well as letting them know as soon possible if I suspect something is off. I also have a good eye for taking cute pics, and love to send those frequently when requested. Overall I’ve pet sat many times before as well as watched 4 different dogs at once, two of which were Great Danes! I have experience, through Rover, taking care of senior dogs or pets who have medical needs like daily pills etc. Whatever instruction I’m given regarding the clients pet, I am sure to follow it to a tee. Whether it be walks around the neighborhood, or a meticulous meal prep for a picky pup , all can be carried out. For my own dog I would take him out to the bathroom whenever he rings his bell, and after that I would normally throw his toy around for as long as he’s willing to. When I walk my own dog, I make sure to have plenty of poop bags, dog treats just in case, and my attention is on the dog and following surroundings. Virginia drivers can be pretty inattentive sometimes !

Sara was a great sitter for our dog. She took plenty of pictures and videos so we knew he was getting a lot of attention.

Sent frequent updates, took great care of the pups and the house while we were away!

She provided lots of pictures of my pets enjoying her company.

Sara did an excellent job taking care of our 3 yrs old golden doodle. We received tons of pictures and Gracie was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Sara.
