About: I've grown up with lots of dogs in my house, and I've been sitting for over 6 years. From French Basset Hounds to Great Danes, I love taking care of dogs!! I am a 21-year-old college student at VCU. As of right now, I have classes and club swim taking up my schedule, but I am available to walk and let out dogs during the week/weekend. I follow whatever instructions the owners give me. I always make sure the dogs I am looking after feel safe. Dogs have great emotional awareness, and my goal is to establish a sense of trust with the animal.
About: I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats since I was a kid. I have alot of experience with pet sitting within my neighborhood and family friends. I am a full time elementary education major at VCU, I am looking for a part time opportunity to make extra money. I am free in the mornings from 6-8am, 12:30-3pm, and 7pm to 9pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. Then for Wednesdays and Thursdays I am from from 6am-7am and from 3pm to 9pm as I am in the public schools. I am willing to open my availability on Fridays as well. I am willing and ready to step in wherever you need me. I have a lot of experience with dogs specifically but I am also pretty familiar with cats.
“Jordyn was great! She was available super last minute July4th weekend. We set up a meet and greet same day and I was able to show her the routine for my pup and she followed it to a tee. She gave me consistent updates and communication regarding my pup! I felt super comfortable with her caring for him and he loved her. She also was super respectful of my place. I highly recommend her!”

“Liesel was awesome with Hermie. I'd recommend and trust her 100% to watch and house sit your pet. Liesel provided day-to-day updates and was able to manage his medical condition when it popped up. I could tell from the updates that Hermie was comfortable in her care. I also came back to a clean home so I appreciated that, Liesel! Thanks again!”

About: From an extremely young age, I’ve been surrounded by animals at every moment. I have cared for various dog breeds including pitbulls, great danes, labs, german shepherds to even maltese! I have also watched over pets including cats, birds, lizards, snakes, even tarantulas! I have a 3 year old german shepherd/golden retriever mix named Kova! When I was younger, I had a jack russel/pug mix named Splash! I have self trained both my dogs from a pup, as well as assist friends and family with both on leash and at home training. I have experience with nail clipping and other grooming care. I am also a very outdoor active person! I have taken my dog on almost all Virginia trails as well as camping trips, so I understand the importance of your dogs outdoor activity! I am currently a full time designer with loads of free time afterwork and on weekends! On weekdays, I am available from 5:30-8:30pm. Weekends, I have full availability and flexible hours! I currently do not have my dog living on campus with me, so my need to be around animals is through the roof! I am comfortable working with all sizes and breeds, but I would appreciate if you inform me if you have an aggressive or guarding pet, both on and off leash. I only ask this for my safety and awareness before entering into your space! Thank you!
“Charlotte took great care of my dog Cher and left the house super clean! She was super patient and understanding of Cher’s leash reactivity which made me feel more confident leaving. She also sent me tons of photos which was so nice because I was missing Cher a lot! Looking forward to hopefully having her stay again sometime. Thanks Charlotte!!!”

“Victor was an exceptional guest and a wonderful caretaker for my two dogs. He followed all instructions carefully, maintained great communication while I was away, and most importantly, my dogs absolutely adored him. The house was spotless when I returned! Victor went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets and home were in such capable hands. I would not hesitate to welcome him back again. Highly recommended!”

“Sidney was so gentle and loving to our shy kitty! Bambino took to her immediately and when we came home, he was a happy clam as if we hadn’t even been away! We would 100% recommend her and will be booking her again for our future getaways 🥰. Thank you so much, Sidney!”

“Kathrine did an awesome job with my pups. She was constantly in contact with us and played with them like her own. Highly recommend I will definitely use her in the future”

Whitcomb pet parents share their Rover experiences
DJ was absolutely amazing—this was my first time using him, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was incredibly flexible and met up with me a couple of times beforehand to make sure it was a good fit and that our dogs got along, which I really appreciated. During my week-long trip, he sent daily photos and thoughtful updates, which made it so easy to relax while I was away. He stuck closely to Louie’s routine but was also flexible based on what Louie needed day-to-day. Louie even developed his first hot spot while I was gone, and DJ handled it so well—I never felt worried for a second. It was clear Louie was in great hands. On top of everything, I came home to a place that was even cleaner than I left it. Truly above and beyond. 10000% would book again. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Miranda. It’s clear she has a real knack for animals; my two dogs were so happy and well-exercised under her care. She was reliable, on time, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We’ve definitely found our go-to sitter and will be using her from now on!

Ginny was wonderful with Arlo! She took him on nice long walks, sent detailed updates about how he was doing, and shared great photos. I felt really comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. She was attentive, communicative, and clearly cared about his wellbeing. I’ll definitely be booking with her again.

Dawn is very pleasant and personable, very loving and caring towards my sweet dog. Sent photos every day of her stay, which kept me confident about my dog and the care she was receiving. Dawn took her for neighborhood walks. Left a very favorable impression!!
