I had Alicia watch Gracie (my extremely timid 3.5 month old jack Russell) over the weekend while I was at work and not only did Gracie come home tuckered out, she was always so happy - wagging her tail and relaxing - whenever I’d come to pick her up. So it was very easy to tell that she had a good time and wasn’t in a rush to go home. Which if you’re like me and your pup is basically your child, you know how great and important that feeling is because you want your baby to be safe AND also NOT be miserable lol. About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From snow days and trampoline adventures with my dog Bear to life with my two loyal Rhodesian Ridgebacks, animals have always been my happy place. These days, our sweet rescue Stella keeps life calm and cozy, and I still find that animals naturally seem to trust and connect with me. I’ve even taken obedience training classes because I genuinely love learning more about dog behavior and communication. I’m comfortable with energetic pups, gentle seniors, big dogs, little dogs, and yes — cats too (even if we can’t have them at home because of allergies). My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into our family’s daily routine. I’m a teacher, so I’m home during summers and school breaks, including two weeks each in fall, winter, and spring. My work schedule when teaching allows me to stop by home during lunch to check in on pets and I’m home by 3:30 PM leaving the evening open for playtime and companionship. Our two boys (13 and 15) also love animals and are learning responsibility by helping care for pets alongside me — giving extra love, playtime, walks, and attention. As a family, we’re able to comfortably provide care in our home or stop by for feedings, walks, check-ins, and play visits throughout the day. During the school year, I’m available before 7:00 AM and after 3:30 PM. I care for pets like they’re part of the family! I love greeting them with excitement, giving them attention, playtime, cuddles, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs on walks or runs, playing fetch, and honestly love when they get the zoomies and show their personalities. Safety is always a priority. In our home, pets are supervised and can be safely crated or given their own quiet room if needed for rest, comfort, or separation. We have a fully fenced yard for outdoor play and a dog door so pets can move in and out comfortably throughout the day. We do have a pool that is not fenced, so I make sure dogs are monitored outside and will always follow the owner’s instructions regarding outdoor access and supervision. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, happy, exercised, and loved.

I have a Great Dane and that can be intimidating to some people, but they were open and welcoming with my pup. He’s in his sunset years, so he’s fairly low energy, but they made sure to let him run around a bit and get in some good snuggles. They also kept me posted and at ease with some periodic photos and videos. Should I need a sitter in the future, I would not look anywhere else but to them. They were exceptional and asked for a lot of good information to make sure Greyson was well taken care of and comfortable for the duration of his stay.”

About: I grew up always having and taking care of our dogs in our home. Now as a mother of three, I've also had the privilege of caring for our Boston Terrier Coco of 8 years (who crossed the rainbow bridge last year) and Charlie, our Goldendoodle of almost two years. Our pets are truly a part of our family and any dog that comes to our home gets treated as an extended family member. My ten-year-old son inherited my love for animals. He loves taking care of dogs and has dreamed of having a dog care/boarding business so will be helping take care of our 4-legged friends. We have experience administering meds. Pet care is already a part of our daily life- our doodle comes to our bed and wakes us up for his first potty break every morning and that starts our morning routine. We have a large fenced yard with lots of fluffy grass for dogs to run around and play in. We love to go on family walks along the lake in the evenings.

About: I am a full time petsitter and behaviorist with 13 years of experience with positive reinforcement training, behavior modification, shelter work, petsitting, and working within a variety of shelters, veterinary clinics, aquariums, and zoos across the United States. I am a former zookeeper and biologist who recently became a fulltime behaviorist and sitter. I have two degrees in biology and psychology, as well as certifications for fear free animal handling and positive reinforcment animal training. I currently am a certified behaviorist and work full time with behavior modification, reactive pets, and petsitting which allows me to have a completely open schedule for your needs! I am available for weekly midday drop ins, day visits, boarding, overnight visits, behavior modification, basic training, and caring for all animals, including exotics! I have petsat for over 150 repeat clients with a variety of animals from hoofstock to small domestics. I have experience caring for senior animals and animals with special needs (medical and behavioral).
