She waited until the sun had gone down and it was cooler to take Coco for a walk so he could get out and get some exercise with her sweet little dog Kayla. Coco was so at home with her. There was not a bunch of other dogs running around. It was not noisy. It was calm and peaceful. he is an elderly dog so he took naps and explored her backyard. About: When I was living in California, my friend and I rescued our cat from the warehouse where she worked back in 2010. We named her “Mei Mei” (Little Sister) because we already had a slightly older dog at my home who felt more like the big sister. She lived with me until 2018, when I moved to Arizona for work. Our cat was hilarious—since she grew up with a dog, she genuinely thought she was one too! I’d call her like I’d call a dog, and she’d actually come. She’d get mad whenever she saw other cats, probably because she didn’t think she was one of them. Cats are seriously funny—you never really know what they’re thinking. When she was in a good mood, she’d come play with you for a bit. When she wasn’t, she’d just stay far away like you didn’t exist.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember! From snow days and trampoline adventures with my dog Bear to life with my two loyal Rhodesian Ridgebacks, animals have always been my happy place. These days, our sweet rescue Stella keeps life calm and cozy, and I still find that animals naturally seem to trust and connect with me. I’ve even taken obedience training classes because I genuinely love learning more about dog behavior and communication. I’m comfortable with energetic pups, gentle seniors, big dogs, little dogs, and yes — cats too (even if we can’t have them at home because of allergies). I’m a teacher, so I’m home during summers and school breaks, including two weeks each in fall, winter, and spring. My work schedule when teaching allows me to stop by home during lunch to check in on pets and I’m home by 3:30 PM leaving the evening open for playtime and companionship. Our two boys (13 and 15) also love animals and are learning responsibility by helping care for pets alongside me — giving extra love, playtime, walks, and attention. As a family, we’re able to comfortably provide care in our home or stop by for feedings, walks, check-ins, and play visits throughout the day. During the school year, I’m available before 7:00 AM and after 3:30 PM. I care for pets like they’re part of the family! I love greeting them with excitement, giving them attention, playtime, cuddles, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I enjoy taking dogs on walks or runs, playing fetch, and honestly love when they get the zoomies and show their personalities. Safety is always a priority. About: I grew up always having and taking care of our dogs in our home. Now as a mother of three, I've also had the privilege of caring for our Boston Terrier Coco of 8 years (who crossed the rainbow bridge last year) and Charlie, our Goldendoodle of almost two years. I have a Great Dane and that can be intimidating to some people, but they were open and welcoming with my pup. He’s in his sunset years, so he’s fairly low energy, but they made sure to let him run around a bit and get in some good snuggles. They also kept me posted and at ease with some periodic photos and videos. Should I need a sitter in the future, I would not look anywhere else but to them. They were exceptional and asked for a lot of good information to make sure Greyson was well taken care of and comfortable for the duration of his stay.”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was born! We have never had less than 5 pets in the house. I grew up dog and cat sitting and am comfortable dealing with challenging pets. “I've had my dog Finn for nearly 2 years. I got him when he was 9, so there is a lot about his early years that I don't know. He's my first dog, so I take great pride in helping him live his best life. Prior to him coming into my life, I would usually take two weeks off in August to attend the Sturgis motorcycle rally. My pet arrangements fell through last year (hadn't engaged any sitters from Rover), thus, I wasn't able to go. So this year I found Brooke through Rover. I had met one other Rover sitter, but Finn just didn't vibe with that person. We met with Brooke and I knew things were going to be alright. She and her family did an awesome job with Finn! She sent pics each day to let me know how he was doing. I was able to relax and have a great vacation. I would definitely board Finn with Brooke again!”

They are sweet dogs but you could tell they felt safe and comfortable with Nichole and got all the cuddles they could ask for. They were welcomed and loved. We will be using a Nichole again in the future and love that she took one family at a time it really worked for our situation and recommend her to those looking for a home away from home.”
