About: I am a trained pastry chef, and have worked in the industry for over 15 years. As much as I love working with food, animals are my heart. With my business degree, I have decided to start my own dog walking business and I absolutely love it! I have been doing it full time since August '23. Experience: I have three labs of my own from 4 to 12 years old, and two indoor cats. I'm very active and love walking my dogs, taking them for hikes, cooking for them, and all around making sure they're happy. I currently have several client's pups that I walk multiple times per week, sporatically, or while they're on vacation. Please send me a message with details about your needs so we can chat more! I have several years of experience of volunteer dog walking from the SPCA. I earned a Pet First Aid and CPR certification through the RECOVER Initiative (Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation), created by Cornell University of Veterinary Medicine. I am a dog walker full time, though I limit the amount of clients I take on so that I can be flexible and available for the ones I have. Currently, I am looking for a few additional long term relationships with pups and their parents who need routine pet care M, T, W, Th and/ or Friday, at least 1 day per week. I service within a ten mile radius of Westbrook, including Old Saybrook, Essex, Clinton, Killingworth, Old Lyme. I tend to take care of pets from 8 am to 5 pm, but am available later or earlier at times, and on weekends on occasion for my regular clients if need be. I am very flexible when it comes to overnights and extended stays for regular clients, and am usually available with plenty of notice. Ask me about me about my *special* routine client rates! Every pup and kitty has their own, individual personality/ways of communicating and I am here to take the time to understand them from your perspective, while over time learning from them as well. When it comes to walks, I am most comfortable using a harness if they tend to be pullers, and if they are, will work with them using gentle, verbal and reward oriented methods I've found effective on my own dogs.

About: My husband and I recently returned from Costa Rica where we volunteered on a dog farm assisting with bathing, grooming and giving lots of love to almost 2,000 rescued dogs that live there. My husband also has a separate rover account under Maxi S. During my high school/college years my mother trained 5 different dogs for guiding eyes for the blind which I helped in the training process as well while home. I also started housesitting and caring for pets of local neighbors at the young age of 10. We have always had dogs in my home. I couldn’t imagine living without a dog. I have experience with dogs of all ages, puppies to senior dogs. I myself have a 9 year old cocker spaniel who thinks she is a human. I understand all pet owners and their pets have different needs and will respect any rules required to give your pet the care they need. I will treat your dog like my own. My family just returned from Costa Rica. My husband and I are both looking for flexible part time work which allow us to still care for our 1.5 year old son. We have a good sized yard which is not fenced in but in a quiet neighborhood with a cul-de-sac. I don’t usually crate my dog, but if your dogs are crated I am familiar with crate training. I am a flexible person and am able to modify based on your pets needs.

About: Hi, I enjoy all ages of dogs and cats. I have had many, many dogs and cats growing up raising them from newborn puppies or kittens all the way into their senior years. I am well experienced in training puppies, playing with active cats/dogs and caring for sick or aged pets as well. I have also volunteered for many rescue organizations, most recently Meriden Humane Society. The joy animals bring me, far surpasses any other career I've had throughout the years. I currently am transitioning into part-time retirement of running my own HVAC company and I would like to start doing what I enjoy more; caring for animals(and plants!). I currently have a very active, under one, golden retriever and a 6 year old golden retriever. We love to go outside and throw the ball, play in the wading pool, or let the dogs play together in the backyard.

I've had many pets of my own- including dogs, cats, a bunny and a fish- but I also babysit for families with multiple dogs, which often requires I feed, play with and give potty breaks for the pets. I just genuinely love spending time with animals! I babysit and dog sit most days of the week but I am looking for more work during the weekdays. Preferably between 8am and 2:30pm. I can follow any guidelines you give me for caring for your pet. I know pet playtime is important, especially for working pet owners, so I will always show up with energy, but I also understand that some pets need a more calm presence, so I can be flexible and adapt to your pet as needed.
