“Laurie went above and beyond while taking care of my dog!!!! She did everything to keep Sky safe and cared for. I received lots of pictures and updates on sky's day! Would definately recommend her and hire her again!!!”

About: I have had 2 dogs for the last 6 years although one recently passed and have helped out with dogs since I was 16. Not great with cats but could watch it needed. I can administer medication as well as I had to for my dog. Monday and Friday I can use my lunch break for a visit, middle of the week days , I am available after 3, weekends are wide open I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space and our dog cannoli is very very friendly and will love to have a friend. She is up to date with all vaccinations.

About: I have two Australian Shepherds of my own, so I know firsthand how much love, attention, exercise, and care dogs need! I have years of hands on experience caring for dogs, including walks, feeding, playtime, and daily attention. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Since I work remotely, I have a flexible schedule and would love the opportunity to spend more time with your furry friends! I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available for pet care throughout the week. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pets get the care and attention they need. I’m also available for walks, drop ins, and other pet care needs! Your pet’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure your dog feels safe and well cared for. I’m attentive, reliable, and happy to send updates while you’re away.
“Andrea was able to watch our dogs very last minute before Labor Day. Very seamless. Great communication and dogs enjoyed her around. Will definitely use again in the future.”

“Sarah is absolutely wonderful!!! She is incredibly responsive to text messages and took such good care of our Sadie for 3 nights. This was the 1st time we left our 7 month old golden with anyone and of course, wanted everything to go smoothly. She sent me photos and updates and I didn’t have to worry at all. I would absolutely hire Sarah again without any hesitation!! I know you’ll love her!”

About: Growing up, we always had a dog or two and cats in the house. Each one, a member of the family that are loved and spoiled. I now have a year and a half old English chocolate lab named Errol and two cats, Pepper and Chester who are 12 and 6 years old. I have two teenage daughters, and my youngest works for a dog training and daycare taking care of dogs. Our family loves our pets and I and am excited to share that love with yours! I work full time from home 8:30 am-5:00 pm. I have limited time mid day that I use to do drop-in visits and short walks, and am otherwise available before or after my shift. I work full time from home during the day and my best general availability on the weekends. I can certainly make arrangements for mid day visits or care for a dog at my home during the day. I am always happy to rearrange things, even during the week to meet your family’s needs. I have a large yard and a chocolate lab of my own to keep your dog company. We live to play outside, for walks in the woods, and run around the yard playing in the doggy pool. For more adventurous dogs with some woody experience, our property is on the Lamprey River with access to play and swim.
About: I’ve been helping a friend who has a dog walking business. Sprightly Paws and have enjoyed it so much. We are both members of the Exeter Run Club. My black lab has passed and I miss time spent with dogs. I’m retired and have plenty of time to enjoy walking dogs. Preferably Mon- Fri but sometimes available on weekends. If your dog likes to run, depending on your location I’m happy to run with them. I’ll play with your dog in your yard, take them for walks or a run if they enjoy that. I live in Durham,NH right on the Newmarket line.

“Again, Sarah was wonderful in taking care of Lucy. She was available for my last minute request and managed everything well. She even watered my plants! Sarah always goes above and beyond. Lucy always seems very happy and content upon my return. I would highly recommend her.”

“Courtney did a wonderful job caring for our two dogs while we were away! We came home to two happy dogs and a house that was clean and tidy. She responded quickly and kept us in the loop the entire time. I would highly recommend, Courtney.”

“Alexandra took great care of our dogs! They were happy when we returned home and not a bit stressed by our absence. She was communicative while we were away to let us know how they were doing. She also was not intimidated by our large dog.”

“We contacted Caley for a recent trip and were thankful to find her! She was great at staying in touch, providing updates and send us photos of our three pets! We were so happy to know there was someone keeping an eye on things while we were gone! We came home to very happy animals and Caley left our house in great shape! Thanks again!”
“Ty was great with Baby. He noticed that she was shy and a little unfamiliar with him and let me know right away so we could figure out a solution. She settled in and will enjoy seeing him again”

“Sofia did a wonderful job caring for our personable cat and elderly high-maintenance little dog in our home. She was punctual, asked great questions, and hit that sweet spot of keeping us comfortably informed about how things were going back home without bombarding us with too many updates. We returned home to two content pets who were happy to see us and a house that looked pretty much exactly as we had left it. Our dog, especially, has developed pretty severe separation anxiety as she ages and she was in GREAT spirits when we came home. We hope to book Sofia again in the future...in fact, we might even schedule our next travel plans around her availability.”

About: Hi there! My name is Leah and I am a dog walker, dog and cat sitter, and animal lover! I have lots of experience with cats ranging from shelter work to having my own since I was a kid. I have also worked at a doggy daycare! I spend my downtime studying animal behavior and how I can apply that knowledge to any of the pets I work with! I have my diploma in dog grooming and have successfully taken a course in animal CPR/First Aid. I would absolutely love to meet and care for your best furry friend! I currently have open availability and accept same day booking for most services. My calendar is up to date! Need a walker for those early mornings? I'm an early riser! At home I have my two sweethearts! My dog Leo and my cat Henry. I care for all of my client's pets as if they were my own. I make sure to cover all bases and make sure that your pet gets everything they need! Meet n greets are the perfect way to learn their needs.
About: Taking care of animals is my joy. I have 3 healthy cats and an 8 week old puppy at home who I take care of, and I have been dog and cat sitting since I was around 12. When I was younger I put up flyers around town for my little pet care business, and people loved how I took care of their animals. I am currently working part time and in online school, so my schedule is very flexible and I have lots of time to take care of animals! My cats that I have had for years are healthy and happy and they are my best friends. I have never missed feeding or playing or cuddling, and I will treat my clients animals like they are my own. In my clients home I like to make sure the animal is properly taken care of and that everything is under control, whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, nail clipping, whatever it is!
“Alex sat our 2 dogs for 10 days in our home and we feel like our "girls" and our house were really well cared for. She was especially conscientious with our nervous girl Millie, working hard to ease her anxiety and gain her trust. We very much appreciated that Alex was mindful of how we do things, she asked questions when she wasn't sure, she was easy to communicate with, and sent us regular updates. A few unexpected circumstances arose that required her assistance with household tasks and she just rolled with it. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Epping walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Epping maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Epping choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Epping. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
