“Both my cat and dog loved Morgan and were beaming when I got home from vacation! Morgan is communicative and curious and I really appreciate her approach to animals. Anyone is lucky to have her care for their pets :)”

About: I have experience caring for dogs, cats, bearded dragons, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, etc. I look forward to caring for your pet and treating them like my own! I’m working part time at the moment and have flexible hours, so I have plenty of time to care for your pet on a schedule that works for you! I make sure to keep the dog’s schedule as typical as possible and I listen to any instructions that the owner may have for me.
“Libby is a great sitter! She takes my dog on neighborhood walks or if time and weather permit, adventures to a nearby walking path. She's easy to communicate with and has made me feel at ease while I'm at work! Thanks, libby”

“Very accommodating when I needed to cancel day of because one of my dogs started to get sick the night before. Also went above and beyond to come over early before I needed to get to work to show me how a gentle-lead works and see how my dog would react to having it on.”

About: I have had animals since I was 5 and started the learning process of how to take care of them at that age as well. Starting at 15, I started to take care of neighbors’ and friends’ pets when they have gone on vacation. I have experience and am comfortable with all sizes and ages of pets! I am able to train basic skills as well, such as sit, paw, lay down, and stay! I’m currently a full-time student who volunteers and shadows veterinarians. So most days I’m able to do three drop ins per day. In the morning before my classes at 9 AM, during lunch time, and then after 4 pm and the rest of my night is free aside from homework and studying! On the weekends I am more freely available aside from volunteering in the mornings some days and taking care of my own dog! I will give your fur baby love, cuddles, and proper care as if they’re my own! I would appreciate a list of what they are used to day to day so I can give them as close to their normal routine as possible!
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. I currently take care of my parents dog when needed, my best friends new puppy, and have prior experience with senior dog I used to care for. I work fully remote job so I have flexibility throughout the day to care for a dog as well as fenced area to let dog out in. It is just myself in a single family home with a fenced in back yard for all dog sitting needs. I also have a car and easily commute for any in-home calls and jobs.
“Alison has been very reliable and responsive. She’s been walking our new puppy for the last couple weeks to help us get her out of the crate during our work day so she isn’t in there more than 4hrs. Puppy dealing with some pretty bad stomach issues and Alison very helpful with this as far as checking in with worried pup mom and offering more water/different options when pup not up for a walk. She’s been wonderful and we’re very grateful. Will continue to use her services as long as we can and are in a situation where work schedule forces pup into crate for too many hours.”

“Siri is great! We did a meet and greet ahead of time and from the moment my dog met her, it was easy to see she understands and cares for animals. My dog can be shy with new people, but Siri has this calm confidence, and they connected immediately. Every walk was on time, with detailed updates and photos that gave me peace of mind knowing he was getting good care and happy. It’s good day when you find someone who treats your pet like their own, Siri is one of those special people. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and competent person to care for your pet.”

About: I am active and love taking care of pets. I am adaptable and can work in any setting while still being very organized and on task. I am currently a college athlete at Xavier University and manage my course load along with my athletic commitments. While I do have a lot going on I have lots of downtime away from sports and school where I would love to spend it helping people out. I have 2 dogs, ages 5 and 7, that live in my home. I live in an area with easily accessible walking paths and parks while also have a yard for dogs to play in.

About: I have 50+ hours volunteering to walk dogs at a local shelter. I am capable of preforming basic dog and cat grooming (cutting nails, bathing, tooth brushing, etc.) and I have extensive experience caring for senior pets and training puppies. I am currently working a full time job that is very flexible, so I have plenty of time to devote to your pets! Drop ins and house sitting are my primary options! I’ve done it all: pet sitting, long or short walks, boarding and, of course, taking care of my own pets! I’ve given medication to dogs/cats of various ages and sizes. We can go for walks, hikes, swim and even have a park day. If your dog is less active, I can adjust our activity level!

About: I've had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, and that hands-on experience is what I bring to every walk. I understand dog body language, pacing, leash manners, and how to read when a dog needs a break or a bit more activity — not from a course, but from years of actually living with dogs day to day. I treat every walk the same way I would for my own dog: attentive, on time, and focused entirely on their safety and comfort for the full duration. Whether your dog is high-energy, a little nervous around new people, or just needs a steady routine, I adjust to what they need rather than running a one-size-fits-all walk. You can expect clear communication before and after every visit, so you always know exactly how things went. My schedule is flexible throughout the day, so dog walking isn't squeezed into a narrow window — it's a real part of my daily routine. That means I can offer consistent mid-morning, afternoon, or early evening walks, and I'm also able to accommodate last-minute requests or changes in timing without it being a scramble. If your schedule shifts week to week, I can usually adjust to match it. Safety is the first thing I think about with every walk. When I arrive, I double-check that all doors and gates are secure before I bring your dog out, and I make sure the leash and collar or harness are properly fitted before we leave — no slipping out mid-walk. I stick to routes I know well, avoid off-leash areas unless specifically asked, and keep a close eye on other dogs, traffic, and anything that could startle or spook your dog. I always carry water on hot days and adjust the pace or length of the walk based on weather and how your dog is doing that day. Before I leave, I make sure your home is exactly as I found it — doors locked, lights as they were, nothing out of place. If anything ever comes up during a walk, you'll hear from me right away, not after the fact.
About: My experience goes back to being the go-to walker for our family dog as a kid to minding my cat today. It’s not unusual for me to meet a dog or cat and become acquainted in minutes I work from home with a flexible schedule. Therefore, I can be on-call at various times. I’m also used to fitting pet care for my cat into my daily routine. I make sure to follow all instructions laid out by the pet parent and get clarification wherever necessary, as well as communicate any issues that may arise.
“My jack russell, Polly, had a wonderful time with Jay! He was a great communicator, took lots of pictures for me, and overall took great care of my crazy pup! Thanks so much Jay! I would absolutely recommend him to others!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I could walk. Grew up walking stuffed animals around on a leash just to prove to my parents that I was responsible enough to own one myself. My dogs now have been alive for 12 and almost 17 years so my track record is good. I am currently working from home three to four days a week and that allows for me to be flexible with my timing. I can leave the house, let a dog out or just give him/her some extra belly rubs I have two incredibly friendly fur babies who essentially just sleep the entire day due to age. They get along with all dogs but don’t generally care to engage (aside from the usual butt sniff). I have the option to separate dogs if needed since I have 2 floors to my house with a door. While I don’t have a fully fenced in back yard, I am feet away from Wasson Way, making it incredibly easy to take dogs on a walk.

Breanna has walked my border collie Milo for several months now - rain, snow, sunshine. She’s always been super flexible and reliable and shows Milo a lot of care. It’s such a relief while I’m at work knowing the Milo is getting some love and attention during the day.

Dan is awesome! My GSD grew to love him really quickly. He handles her on walks with no problem and always makes sure she gets plenty of attention and exercise. He’s also very responsive and does his best to fit us into his schedule. The detailed Rover cards he sends after each walk are a great bonus too! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
