“Lauren did an amazing job watching our two dogs, including our senior dog who needs a gentler approach. She was reliable, attentive, and kept us updated the entire time, which gave us total peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely cares about animals. We’re extremely happy with her service and would absolutely trust her with our pups again! We highly recommend Lauren!”

“It always stinks leaving my pets alone, but with Suzanne I know that they are being well cared for. She’s super attentive and takes great care of the animals under her watch. Five stars as always!”
“Becky was patient, compassionate and kind to our senior girl. She even put up with this first time cat Mom! Love the Rover Card that gives updates and pics! I will definitely have Becky assist in the future. Highly recommend Becky!!”

“Ian was amazing! He followed instructions completely. I couldn’t have asked anyone better to take care of my three cats. He made sure to spend time with them after feeding. Ian even went above and beyond by cleaning up any spilled litter outside the boxes. Would absolutely book again!”

“Tricia was fantastic! She took exceptional care of our fur babies while we were out of town. She administered medicine for our elderly German Shepherd and is great with pets that require special care. We are really grateful to have someone dependable, like Tricia, to watch them. We will definitely be repeat customers.”

“Juliette treated my cats with as much love and attention as if they were her own. Lilly, Stella, and Bean seemed very happy in each picture and video Juliette sent me while I was on vacation. She even cleaned up the tracked litter from around the boxes!!! I will certainly be asking for her the next time I go out of town. Thank you SO much, Juliette!!”

“Alexandra is accommodating and reliable. I love how aware she was of my newish 4YO shelter dog needs: potty break, interactive toys and ending with snuggles on the couch. With her updates and pictures I know my pup enjoyed her visit. Highly recommend 😊”

About: I have cared for a variety of breeds! I have always helped out my friends, family, and neighbors with their pets! By caring for them, walking them, and spending quality time with them! I have 2-3 days off during the week and would genuinely love to spend that time with animals. I have time available to not just walk and feed your pets but also provide them with playful interactions and quality time spent! I have a fenced in yard so my pets are always able to access a big space safely. I also walk my pets daily and make sure if it is night time I have a flashlight to make sure myself and the animal are visible!
“We were so happy to have Delaney care for our 2 kittens while we were away. We loved hearing her daily reports on their activities and seeing her pictures. She was also able to administer their medicine. We could tell they received lots of love and were well cared for with Delaney!”

“I cannot recommend Katie highly enough as a dog sitter! From our very first interview, she was a breath of kind and positive energy. It was clear that her loving disposition immediately resonated with our dogs, and they took to her right away. Throughout her time with us, everything was handled exceptionally well and in accordance with our instructions. Katie showed great attention to detail and truly cared for our pets as if they were her own. It's always a relief to find someone who shares such a genuine love for dogs. If you're looking for someone trustworthy and enthusiastic to care for your furry friends, Katie is the perfect choice!”

“The dogs love Alexandra, they are always happy and healthy when we get home. Also somehow our house smelled amazing when we got home, that never happens we have huge boy dogs. No idea how she did that!!!”

“I've met Kat twice so far for my dog (and me) to get to know her, she's very reassuring and I feel comfortable having her stay here when I go on vacation. I cant wait to finally get to go on vacation!!! ☺”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter. From the moment I left, I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such caring hands. Roxxie genuinely connected with her and treated her with the same love and attention I would. She kept me updated and went above and beyond. I highly recommend Roxxie to anyone looking for truly compassionate and reliable pet care.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 4,053 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Elephant. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Elephant. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
