“We always use Becky to take care of our 4 cats when we go away. She is affectionate to our cats, punctual, and detail-oriented. She splits up canned food and adds supplements and puts up with us and our entire page of directions. Thanks, Becky!”

“We can’t rave enough about having Angelina watch our pup! She eased our concerns about being away by meeting up before our trip, frequently stopping in and spending quality time with our dog, sending the best pictures, and truly going above and beyond!!!! She was communicative and punctual. We came home to a happy and healthy dog!”

“Lauren is amazing! She is so thorough in her visit updates, and sends plenty of pictures. She takes the time to sit with our dogs and make sure they are comfortable with her. We could not ask for a better drop-in sitter!”

About: i’ve been taking care of dogs my whole life! my family refers to me as the “dog whisperer” and I decided to share my “gift” lol! ! I love walking, playing, training, and brushing and bathing them as well! i’m currently working full time at Wawa but am certified in pet nutrition with previous jobs as a pet store manager and an area manager for Farmina Pet Food! I am fully capable of caring for and loving any dog no matter the breed or size! Currently am a loving sister for an older adult golden retriever, a mom to a 6 year old golden retriever, and an aunt to a mini bernidoodle! any size, any age, any breed and I will be there! I have a total of 3 dogs in my life and all of them get the same amount of love and care from me! between them running, walking, playing, or even laying around I will be ready for anything!

“I am so very appreciative of Tricia! I love my doggos with my whole heart, and I wouldn't trust them with just anyone. I knew right away, and my dogs knew right away, Tricia was one of the good ones. Thank you so much for taking care of my babies!”

“Suzanne did an excellent job taking care of our two cats while we were away for a week. This was our first time using Rover, and we could not be more pleased with Suzanne’s level of dedication and professionalism. She is truly a lover of all pets, and it really shows in her work. She was always on time or even early, and was very interactive with our cats during each visit. She communicated with us during every visit, and provided daily pictures as well. She also went above and beyond to make sure our house was safe and secure with each visit, even going as far and bringing in our empty trash cans from the curb. It was important to us that our cats stay home in a familiar environment while we were away, and having Suzanne check in on them twice a day worked out perfectly. We are now much more comfortable making vacation plans knowing our cats will be well taken care of, and will absolutely use Suzanne again in the future. We could not have asked for a better first experience with Rover.”

“We adopted a new dog sooner then expected and reached out to Alexandra last minute to request a few drop in’s for our new pups first week. Not only did she accomodate us, bu she provided a detailed report card and photos to put us new pet parents at ease. Our new dog Millie loves her and we will continue to use her as long as she will allow us!”

“Jax was an amazing dog sitter with our girl Chloe. She truly goes above and beyond. She was extremely responsive when we were doing the booking and explained her services to me. We were a little nervous leaving our dog while we were gone for a while and Jax made us very comfortable. I love that she wrote us a detailed description of her visit and took lots of photos! It was so nice to see while we were gone. Jax loves animals and it is apparent in the care she gives to pets. We will absolutely be using Jax's services again!”

About: I will match the energy of any pet, I will follow their routine, or help establish one! Count on me to keep your pet safe! I have two doggos at home so of course I have my daily routine of keeping them fed, walked, and most importantly…loved! Properly trained too! Making note of allergies, concerns, and noticing the uncomfortable situations the pet may be in or need help with. Establishing diets and exercise for them.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Quakertown
I reached out to Rebecca shortly after scheduling the appointment to put my cat down. We were looking for someone last minute to check in on her while we were at work for the week. She very quickly responded, was so sweet and sympathetic over the situation and 1 hour later was at my house to do a meet and greet. My partner and I immediately felt more at ease. Rebecca came to check in on Sookie everyday around the same time- sent pictures, videos, and notes of the visits. She’s one of those people that you can just trust with ease. Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
